Thank goodness for a local sushi joint! Don't get too scared that the restaurant is in a village strip mall because as Jimmy H has said "never judge a book by its cover." The menu is large with traditional Japanese and Korean dishes if you are not a sushi fan but still want to join in on the experience. Some of their non sushi specialties are the Bulgogi, BiBimBab and Kimchi Jigaei. Their udon tofu noodle soup is so huge and so delicious. Be careful, I had this twice and I have had major 3rd degree burns on my tongue! The size of the maki rolls are thin but if you get the specials, they come in 10 pieces at a very decent price. They do have kitschy names like the "youuk can do it" roll but the rolls are so good and inventive like a roll with asparagus, shrimp tempura, tobiko, eel and avocado! Sometimes the rolls do fall apart, may need to scoop up a couple of them but I have never been disappointed with this place. And the best deals are during lunch! They have bento boxes! Yay! which i love. You get a veggie maki, rice, salad with a nice ginger dressing, miso soup and along with your choice of Teriyaki, Bulgogi, Katsu or Tempura entree. I am in love with their Hwe Dup Bab and they have a pretty decent chili sauce to go with it. There are other places that serve this dish but the chili sauce will either make or break it. This is a great place to eat. Good lunch or maybe early dinner date. I don't mean to come off prejudicial but it was a good sign to me when I walked in and there were a good number of Korean and Japaneese patrons very much enjoying their food. The sushi is very well prepared and fresh. I loved the idea of the box plate meals. This place is definitely a few knotches up from your typical dive take out. Quality of the food is very high, prices are higher than what I am used to in my favorite places back in Providence. I came here during a visit to Boston from New York City. I wasn't the biggest fan of sushi, but this place has changed my mind. I reluctantly came here, not in the mood for rice nor fish, but left a believer of sushi and Japanese food. While the service was non-existent and the kitchen was obviously very backed up, the rolls more than made up for that. Our group at work will order from Misono on occasion, not nearly often enough if it were up to me though. The quality of the food is always top notch and the service and accuracy of the order is excellent too. Their house spicy sauce for the Bibimbap is fantastic and I will never get tired of it! The sushi is always super fresh and beautiful and there isn't anything I've had from there that I wouldn't order again. Prices may be slightly higher than other places, but it's the area that it's in and you definitely get what you pay for. I would give Misono two thumbs up and would highly recommend it to others as well. read more

It's already packed when we arrived, so we waited for 15 minutes to get a table, 20 minutes to have our orders taken, another 15 minutes before we had water, got our first order 1 hour after entering the restaurant, and almost another 20 minutes to have all the food. The food is not bad but still not worth the wait. The reason to go to a restaurant that day is to feed my hungry kids quickly after hiking, but with that speed I could have gone home and finished cooking already. The restaurant is obviously understaffed on the expense of customers. The portion of Udon is very small, like half compared to those in most restaurants serving Udon. Service is below average. Have been coming here for over 10 years! Very consistent and always fresh sushi. I love that their spicy rolls don't have tempura in them - makes room for more quality fish! My friend said the sushi at this place was just one step down from Super Fusion, and I would agree. None of the food was bad, but some flavors just didn't pop. We had some Korean BBQ to start, which was pretty good; some meat was a little grissly. Got take out from here a couple of months ago, and it was...awful. I don't know if I've ever had food this bad from a sushi place. I really don't know how to explain this, since the food I had here the first time was really good. I got a plain salmon roll, and another roll with salmon and some other stuff in it. The salmon tasted smoked. I expect fresh salmon when I get sushi, so this was really weird. I didn't even finish all the rolls. I don't know what was up with this- I have had sushi at countless places and have never tasted salmon that tasted smoked, but this definitely did! I also got a salad. I LOVE ginger dressing, and this was the worst ginger dressing I have ever tasted. It tasted like grated up carrots and almost nothing else. Really, really bad. Despite the fact that I live right next to this place, I will not bother giving it another try. I'm also still annoyed at the misleading signage out front regarding their closing times, too. i LOVE Misono's sushi!! The fish is incredibly fresh. Salmon nigiri is my all time favorite, and something I order at many sushi restaurants. At Misono the salmon is thick and tasty. The specialty rolls are fun. I keep thinking I'll try the non-sushi items on the menu, but never do. read more

The service is friendly and the food is good if you stick to the Korean food. Costs a bit more than going into Brighton for a Korean food fix but it tastes great and can satisfy your craving for ok dol bimbimbap on a cold winter day. I brought my friend here for her Birthday last week as I havent been here in a long time and used to come in with my sister alot and my coworkers come here for lunch alot. I've never had any difficulty reading the menus in any sushi restaurant. I think this place must of changed quite a few things since I've last been there. I ordered what I thought was 6 piece maki and the kind of maki rolls I wanted. When it got to me I realized it was not what I thought I had ordered, okay that's an easy fix no problem right? Well the waitress rolled her eyes at me and gave me a pretty bad attitude speaking to me like I was stupid rather then explaining my confusion and take my plate and get me the what it was I was trying to order. So when she didnt offer to take my plate which nothing was touched but did ask me if I wanted to order something else rudely I said " umm no thank you I'm all set, thank you". I didnt want to give them my business after that because she was so disgustingly rude. She would periodically come around throughout dinner to ask me if I wanted to order anything else still with an attitude and I politely would respond with "no thank you." I will admit she did ask of I'd like to speak to the manager and my response was " no thank you." Because I've never had to complain at any restaurant before and I honest to God didnt want to cause a scene. I'm really easy to please and I honestly I over tip because I've waited tables before. I planned on calling the manager once I got into the car. And in all honesty after hearing her complain about me to he co workers and the manager an ear shot away and watching his body language I just thought " what's the point he will defend her anyways." Well to no surprise I called and before i could put a sentence in the manager knew which customer i was and decided to talk nonstop for 5 minutes, when It was my turn i had explained the issues was not the order because it was my fault for not understanding the menu but the issue was his waitress who was exceptionally rude and unprofessional and that made me not want to even bother asking about the menu or even ordering anything else. I'm not going to give a business anymore of my money if you have zero problem treating like crap as your customer. So I paid for my friends $80 dinner and didnt eat just sat and talked with her and I for the first time in my life didnt tip her anything at all and didnt feel bad about it. He completely defended her and gave me a half an apology like " I'm sorry if you mispercieved her attitude shes been here a long time." I hung up and said " never coming back there again". Customer is always right sir. I told my coworkers about this that qeew regulars, they wont be back and my sister was disgusted when I told her. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 10years. You would think that the customer service would get better with time. The manager and his sidekick, the lady with a very short hairstyle, are extremely rude and unprofessional. They absolutely refuse to smile and be cordial to their clients. Customer service is awful and that obviously puts a bad taste in your mouth right away. On the day in question, my kids and I decided to have lunch there. My son arrived before I did at 2:40 and immediately placed an order because he was told they were closing for lunch at 3:00 o'clock. I came to the restaurant at 2:45, and immediately saw the Lady manager arguing with my son. He wanted to add a few items to his order, however he was told that at 2:45, you can not add anything to the Sushi order. Really?????? The restaurant closes for lunch at 3:00, so why can't we add a few additional items. Does is not matter to the owner of the restaurant that his clients are being treated rudely and he is truly missing out on clients that are willing to spend a significant amount of money on lunch and dinners. I could not believe my eyes and ears, how rude she was. The Sushi guys were yelling No more Sushi orders, Wow, so obnoxious and unprofessional. They have officially lost our family and friends as their patrons. Sushi is decent, but there are plenty of better places and nicer people to give your business to. One of the best sushi places I've been to! My boyfriend and I go frequently, and have yet to have a bad experience! the sushi is reasonably priced (especially compared to Boston prices, what I'm used to) and the rolls are fairly sized. My favorite is the Misono roll, the pieces are huge and i love the crispy taro strings on it! perfection :) I had the spicy pad thai along with the spicy salmon roll and new shrimp tempura roll. The rolls were great, the pad thai was good but didn't tasted exactly like pad thai (and def not spicy!). I would probably get it again though! the place is really cute and clean, it's nicer when you go with a max of 4 people. The place is not really set up for large parties. read more
