Definitely one of my favorite sushi spots to go to. I love this place. Everything always comes out really well. The sushi is always excellent. The service is pretty dang good. They are always on point here and the food comes out fast, so there is literally nothing to complain about. It is also very cost effective, so you really get a great bang for your buck here. I love the environment of this place. It is never extremely busy. There is usually a table or two taken, but that is about it. There is another place I like going to down the road, but if you do not call ahead and make a reservation there is a chance you will not get in. We always end up coming over here instead, and that is not a problem for me because this place is great. If you have not been here before, definitely stop in.
This is my favorite sushi restaurant outside of Austin. The fish is high quality. The presentation is beautiful. The nigiri is a work of art, served with kizami (real wasabi) which is hard to find. They also serve traditional Korean dishes (bulgogi, Japchae, Bibimbap). I recommend the dinner bento box which gives a lot of bang for your buck! Bento box is plentiful, delicious, and offers variety. Japanese beer and sake available to order. The restaurant is peaceful, calming and clean. Service is always great and attentive. Easy parking in a strip mall.
Miso was awesome! Amazing service and the food was great too! I highly recommend the kimchi bacon fried Rice plate with the omurice add on. The kimchi stew was really tasty as well. Plenty of seating for any sized group and again, service was top notch!
I visited this place for lunch on a weekend and ordered the Kimchi Tofu Stew. It came with a generous assortment of sides, which was a nice touch. The stew arrived piping hot with a side of rice, and it was loaded with plenty of veggies and kimchi, which I appreciated. I do wish there was a spicy level that you can pick for this dish. Our group also tried a few other dishes like the Philly roll, a sushi plate, and a sushi salad. Overall, the food was good, and my sister even took some leftovers home to enjoy later in the day. Service was okay, the waiter checked with us a couple of time during our time there. The restaurant is a decent size with smaller tables near the sushi bar and larger ones along the side walls. There's plenty of parking space available as well.
Was craving sushi and went here with a friend! The ambiance is nice with calming music so I can actually talk to my friend. The staff were attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. We ordered three rolls: Spicy Yellowtail, Sexy Lazy and Volcano. Spicy Yellowtail was my favorite followed closely by the Sexy Lazy. The yellowtail tasted yummy and the Sexy Lazy roll had a unique wasabi sauce that wasn't too spicy. The texture of that roll was interesting and I kept coming back to it! It has mango in it so that's pretty unique. If you're craving sushi, this will satisfy your craving. Pretty affordable too!
Delicious I've probably eaten here over 100 times now. Fish is always fresh tasting, have not had one bad thing to eat here. Tastes like they care about their craft and I always dine in and also get door dash at work. Can't stay away and I crave it all the time! Love that it's family owned and they are always so nice! My mom n I love to visit!
We came in at 4:25, FYI, they are closed until 4:30! But they let us in with a smile, and I apologized profusely when I found out they were closed! They were super understanding and didn't mind us coming in early. The sushi portions are perfect! Some places we have been had started to make the rolls much smaller but these are big, full, and fresh! No fishy smell in this establishment! My husband got the kimchi fried rice and didn't even share! My daughter got the katsu chicken, which was enough for two adults!!! The portions are enormous and worth the price!! Incredible experience overall!
Lovely decor, delicious food, kind service! I was really craving some Korean food, especially Japanese Chae, so when I saw the reviews on this restaurant, I told my friend that we should try it. Although situated in a strip center, just down from a Gold's Gym, inside, the small restaurant radiates class and serenity. We were greeted by a smiling young woman and seated in a booth. Water and our menus followed. We decided to share several items. We ordered vegetable tempura, Mandu, a side salad, Jap Chae, and a tempura asparagus roll. The Mandu came out first along with the salad and small plates. My friend had to ask for a fork, but I used the provided chopsticks. The Mandu (or gyoza) were lightly fried and very, very tasty. The side salad was beautiful! Even my friend who had not wanted any salad, was amazed at the appearance and taste of this delicious side dish. It Included various kinds of greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and a ginger dressing. Our other dishes followed one by one. The Vegetable tempura dish was lovely. It included sweet potato, carrot, potato, zucchini, onion, and asparagus, but only one piece of each vegetable, so we had to cut them in half to share. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the tempura batter was light and crispy. The tempura sauce was also very good. The tempura asparagus sushi roll was beautiful. And it was also incredibly tasty! My friend had never had vegetable sushi, and we both loved it. It came with the requisite wasabi and ginger slices. The dish of Jap Chae was a little underwhelming - it did not look or smell the way I'm used to seeing and smelling this dish. I did notice that the menu said it used crystal noodles, where most Korean restaurants use sweet potato noodles, so maybe that was one of the differences. It was tasty, but tasted different than any Japchae I have ever had. We ended up asking for some hot chili oil, which, when added along with some soy sauce, made the dish much tastier for me. The young lady who was serving, appeared to be the only person waiting tables. She did so with a smile on her face and a pep in her step, circling the restaurant and keeping drinks topped off while serving many different dishes to many different people. She was always kind and responsive, explaining what certain dishes were, and bringing a small side dish of kimchi when I asked to taste it. (The kimchi was more vinegary than I am used to, and not quite as spicy) Overall, it was a very delicious meal for a reasonable price, especially compared to some Japanese and Korean restaurants nearby. I would definitely eat there again, but I would probably lean more towards the Japanese food than the Korean as it seems different from most I have enjoyed in the past.
Been wanting to try this place for a long time and.. so glad we did! They have bento boxes for dinner and their chicken bulgogi is exquisite ! We love all the side dishes and each dish is super tasty . The miso soup was a bit salty last time so did not enjoy it that much . The service is a bit slow but I think they might be understaffed but otherwise they take care of you well. The ambiance is nice and quiet and a perfect couple/family dinner or lunch spot . Prices are good for the amount of food you get . The spicy kimchi tofu soup tasted great too, just wish it had more tofu . Ample parking up front. They could improve on the wine selections. Overall, very pleased with this place and will definitely make it a staple !
Came here for lunch cause I was craving warm Korean food. Ordered the spicy kimchi soup and the beef bulgogi bibimbap. Service was great and quick. The food was better than I was expecting and the portions were huge. Ended taking more than half home. Also ordered the galbi and I was impressed by how well it was cooked. It's nice to find good options north of Austin and I will definitely be back soon.
Edamame was well salted. Dragon roll had a good crispy texture inside. Very quiet and calm environment. Good for a date night. Servers were helpful and nice.

VERY disappointed in this place. I've been here a few times before and enjoyed the dishes I got. But today I didn't want anything spicy so I decided to get the Miso Ramen. The description on the menu stated: Hot thin noodle, fish cake, vegetable served with soup and baked pork topping. Sounds delicious right? What I got was a sad bowl of broth, noodles, green onions, 1/2 a hard boiled egg, and one small piece of meat. I asked the waitress where the fish cakes and other vegetables were, and expressed my disbelief at such a small piece of meat. She spoke to the kitchen and then came back to tell me that they changed the recipe and it no longer comes with fish cakes or other vegetables. WHAT?! I've made instant ramen at home that's fancier than this. I'm a ramen junkie and I'm HAPPY to pay $15+ for ramen but this felt such like a rip off. The egg was hard boiled and still semi cold, and the meat was tough and flavorless. I'm not going to go out of my way to come back here. Which is disappointing since there are really no other Korean restaurants in the immediate area . read more
Great lunch specials! I ordered the Beef Bulgogi with Spicy Tofu Soup ($16). It also came with rice and 4 banchan. Ordering online was quick and easy, while pick-up was seamless. My food was seriously delicious and they give quite a generous portions. I'll definitely return to try other items from their extensive menu in the future! read more

My son has been looking for a bento box for years since we moved to Texas. We stumbled upon Miso and were pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality, and ambiance. Our server was attentive but not overly so, which was perfect. Our table ordered the Shaggy Dog roll (the best roll I've had in Texas), Spicy Salmon roll, Chicken Yakisoba, and of course a Chicken Teriyaki bento for our son. The bento box also comes with miso soup and a salad all for $24. Every single dish was delicious. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

I was a little optimistic about this place when I first came in due to the name of the place having both Korean and Japanese. Korean is known for Korean bbq while Japanese is known for sushi. I ordered a large hot sake bottle with both yellowtail nigiri and eel nigiri along with galbi (short ribs) for dinner. The hot sake was not bad though I wished he would poured it all the way to the top ;). The nigiri's were pretty good. The galbi looked dried but they were tender and good. The galbi came with 6 sides and the server was able to refill them with out any extra charges. I would come back here again and recommend this place to any Korean bbq and Japanese sushi fanatics. read more
This place has some great lunch specials! For $11-15 you get to pick from a wide variety of lunch combinations. They serve both Korea and Japanese dishes so if you're craving bulgogi with sashimi, you can find it here! The Korean selections seemed more authentic. I'd definitely come back for the bibimbap and spicy tofu stew lunch combo. read more
I came here after having this place bookmarked for a couple of years. It's a very cozy and intimate decor on the inside. You can seat about 30 people in here and it could handle a large group as well if needed. There's plenty parking as Miso is located in a strip mall. I was greeted along with my dinner guest immediately and seated. It wasn't crowded. It was about 10 people having dinner. I ordered a Miso roll which consists of Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Cucumber, Tuna, Salmon, Tempura batter, and Masago. The roll was very delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I have no complaints. I don't remember the what my guest ate but they liked the taste of the flavor. I know it was from the Korean menu. I definitely recommend this spot for a business or lunch a date because if the delicious food and cozy decor. read more

This is the second time we've come here, mainly because the first time was delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. And it did not disappoint. I got the Chef's Choice 12 piece sashimi that comes with miso soup and a house salad as well as a roll. I chose to upgrade the included roll for a rainbow roll for $2. The house salad had a bit too much citrus dressing, but still nice. The main course was great! Fresh sashimi, super soft fish. Normally my favorite is the salmon, but today the albacore sashimi was the star. The rainbow roll was also very tasty. My husband got the Kimchi Stew, which came with rice and some small Korean side dishes which were yummy. The stew was good, flavor and heat was on point. He also ordered a salmon roll which was a nice addition. Overall great experience, our waitress was attentive and kind. Can't wait til the next time we return. read more

Tried this establishment after the Texas Coldmagageddon for some local comfort food. Searching for Ramen I still decided upon Katsu and sushi. It was great. The egg rolls were tasty and the Katsu and sushi were excellent. It was slow and late (2pm) but I received fine service. I ordered far more than I could eat but it was extremely satisfying. Having lived in Japan it was generally authentic. read more

Literally my new #1 restaurant I will be going to from here on out. And it's a win, that we are only 10 minutes down the freeway! Everytime, I hit up a new sushi spot, there are certain things I have to order off their menu, just to get a comparison. And I have to say, HANDS DOWN, THIS IS MY NEW GO TO!! The food is soooooo good, my husband and I were literally still thinkong about it the next day! We also had the spicy korean soup!! Delicious! read more

The galbi was relatively good but kinda tough/chewy and my sister said the chicken bulgogi wasn't super flavorful. Maybe the sushi is better? My first quarantine order! I was a bit nervous with all things considered but also cuz I'm new to the area. I've never had RR sushi, but it didn't disappoint! The red rock mountain roll was way better than I expected! Glad I tried something new! Spicy yellowtail was good - different than I expected but I liked it and would order it again. I think I tasted a hint of apple, normally I hate fruit in sushi but it was amazing!! So refreshing. Love that their avocado roll includes cucumber. Contactless delivery was perrrrfect. Walked in hangry, and left happy! We came in at 12:30 for Thursday lunch and sat right down. I save my 5 stars for reeeeal special places but I have no complaints. Three of us shared the sushi/sashimi lunch special and the Galbi. They gave us two side salads (dressing was phenomenal) and miso soup. Galbi is a must. I wish I would've known exactly what I was eating with the Sushi/Sashimi combo since it's not listed. Next time I'd stick to regular sushi! read more

Saw this place and decided to give it a try, Food was good waiter was very distracted, waited to long for him to come back and offer a drink. Miso is a little Japanese/Korean restaurant up in round rock. This is no Kome, but it's a good deal for lunch and probably one of the better places for sushi in the suburbs. I came here for lunch and got the sashimi lunch special that comes with soup and salad, and there was a generous amount of fish and the quality was good for the price. My only complaint was that the futo maki rolls that came with the dish were cold. My partner had the sushi lunch special with a wide variety of different nigiri. I would come back again to try some of their Korean dishes next time. Also the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, a perfect setting for a sushi restaurant. read more

I like this place...there's nothing special on how it's set up...it's simply designed for you to come and eat. It's clean and we are usually greeted with a smile. Boo and I have tried different dishes, some were a hit and some were just ok. But our service has always been great each time we come here. And the sushi bombs? Yeah, those are phenomenal! I came here for lunch and got their lunch tray special. I orded the beef bulgogi with spicy tofu stew. The lunch tray also comes with rice, salad and the typical kimchi side dishes. The food is delicious. The bulgogi is seasoned well and is quite tender. The spicy tofu stew had a fair amount of seafood (mostly clams) and tofu which I thoroughly enjoyed eating. Definitely a good lunch spot, especially if you are looking to eat Japanese and Korean cuisine. We came for a quick dinner and had an excellent dine in experience. The place is relatively small but cozy and the casual decor along with the extremely attentive and kind staff made for an enjoyable visit. The food itself was amazing. Every visit, we've ordered the sweet and spicy chicken which is always seasoned and cooked well. The sushi is made with fresh ingredients and prepared with care for presentation and taste. All the other items on the menu like the bibimbap and bulgogi are not only tasty but come in large portions for a relatively cheap price. The kimchi and other side dishes are also always excellent and are complimentary with certain items. Weekdays are not very busy and weekends have a maximum ten minute wait. There is a large parking lot in front so getting in shouldn't be a problem. read more
I ordered the chicken bulgogi. The portion was massive and the food was so delicious. The dish came with 3 sides: kimchi, spicy pickled cucumber, and tofu. I really enjoyed my meal. The food (especially the cucumber and kimchi) was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I'll definitely be back. There are many items on the vast menu that I'd like to try in the future. I highly recommend Miso to others. read more

I tried something new and I was pleasantly surprised. The Kiss Me Roll is everything I love about a fresh roll. The egg rolls are delicious and the sauce that comes with it has a little kick to it that is perfect. Will definitely be eating here again. read more

Can they make the tofu stew vegetarian without beef or seafood?
I have ordered delivery and ate at the restaurant. I am not vegetarian, but the chef goes out of his way to please the customers. Give them a call.
