This place has some great lunch specials! For $11-15 you get to pick from a wide variety of lunch combinations. They serve both Korea and Japanese dishes so if you're craving bulgogi with sashimi, you can find it here! The Korean selections seemed more authentic. I'd definitely come back for the bibimbap and spicy tofu stew lunch combo. read more

I've been here 5 times. My sushi recommendation: spicy yellowtail I always get 2 orders of it cuz it's the best. They used to serve kimari as an appetizer but it's since been removed from the menu. You can't go wrong with the bibimbap, love all the Korean banchan. My go-to sushi place for round rock. read more

The service was so much better! Very attentive... quick... kind... it was a complete change! The food was just as good as ever! And they have spruced the place up since last I was here. If your looking for great Food the flavors here are fantastic. I had the Eel Roll and it was scrumptious! My wife had the bibimbap... and she loved it as usual. My boys chowed down their chicken teriyaki! Everything was fantastic, the prices are a bit higher but still reasonable, and to top it off the service was great! I came here after having this place bookmarked for a couple of years. It's a very cozy and intimate decor on the inside. You can seat about 30 people in here and it could handle a large group as well if needed. There's plenty parking as Miso is located in a strip mall. I was greeted along with my dinner guest immediately and seated. It wasn't crowded. It was about 10 people having dinner. I ordered a Miso roll which consists of Shrimp Tempura, Avocado, Cucumber, Tuna, Salmon, Tempura batter, and Masago. The roll was very delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I have no complaints. I don't remember the what my guest ate but they liked the taste of the flavor. I know it was from the Korean menu. Tried this establishment after the Texas Coldmagageddon for some local comfort food. Searching for Ramen I still decided upon Katsu and sushi. It was great. The egg rolls were tasty and the Katsu and sushi were excellent. It was slow and late (2pm) but I received fine service. I ordered far more than I could eat but it was extremely satisfying. Having lived in Japan it was generally authentic. read more

Literally my new #1 restaurant I will be going to from here on out. And it's a win, that we are only 10 minutes down the freeway! Everytime, I hit up a new sushi spot, there are certain things I have to order off their menu, just to get a comparison. And I have to say, HANDS DOWN, THIS IS MY NEW GO TO!! Miso is and has been a great place for Korean food in the Round Rock area. Have been stopping by for years and the food has always been consistent and great. I usually eat here for dinner, but I heard their lunch combos are great as well. My usual is their Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, which really hits the spot on a cold day. Their sushi and banchan is also pretty good. Only con is that their service has always been pretty slow, so you should factor in that extra time. read more

My first quarantine order! I was a bit nervous with all things considered but also cuz I'm new to the area. I've never had RR sushi, but it didn't disappoint! The red rock mountain roll was way better than I expected! Glad I tried something new! Spicy yellowtail was good - different than I expected but I liked it and would order it again. Walked in hangry, and left happy! We came in at 12:30 for Thursday lunch and sat right down. I save my 5 stars for reeeeal special places but I have no complaints. Three of us shared the sushi/sashimi lunch special and the Galbi. They gave us two side salads (dressing was phenomenal) and miso soup. Galbi is a must. Miso is a little Japanese/Korean restaurant up in round rock. This is no Kome, but it's a good deal for lunch and probably one of the better places for sushi in the suburbs. I came here for lunch and got the sashimi lunch special that comes with soup and salad, and there was a generous amount of fish and the quality was good for the price. My only complaint was that the futo maki rolls that came with the dish were cold. My partner had the sushi lunch special with a wide variety of different nigiri. I would come back again to try some of their Korean dishes next time. Also the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, a perfect setting for a sushi restaurant. read more

I came here for lunch and got their lunch tray special. I orded the beef bulgogi with spicy tofu stew. The lunch tray also comes with rice, salad and the typical kimchi side dishes. The food is delicious. The bulgogi is seasoned well and is quite tender. The spicy tofu stew had a fair amount of seafood (mostly clams) and tofu which I thoroughly enjoyed eating. Definitely a good lunch spot, especially if you are looking to eat Japanese and Korean cuisine. Hands down the best Korean/Japanese restaurant in the area. I've tried different plates and have never been disappointed. The tempura, sweet and spicy chicken, and bibimbaps are great. The tempura is better than 99% of the restaurants I used to frequent in Kyoto. The sweet and spicy chicken is straight fire. It's absolutely delicious. We came for a quick dinner and had an excellent dine in experience. The place is relatively small but cozy and the casual decor along with the extremely attentive and kind staff made for an enjoyable visit. The food itself was amazing. Every visit, we've ordered the sweet and spicy chicken which is always seasoned and cooked well. The sushi is made with fresh ingredients and prepared with care for presentation and taste. All the other items on the menu like the bibimbap and bulgogi are not only tasty but come in large portions for a relatively cheap price. The kimchi and other side dishes are also always excellent and are complimentary with certain items. Weekdays are not very busy and weekends have a maximum ten minute wait. There is a large parking lot in front so getting in shouldn't be a problem. read more

I ordered the chicken bulgogi. The portion was massive and the food was so delicious. The dish came with 3 sides: kimchi, spicy pickled cucumber, and tofu. I really enjoyed my meal. The food (especially the cucumber and kimchi) was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I'll definitely be back. The food here is quite good. I like their lunch specials which is only available on weekdays. Recently I was a bit disturbed during these covid times that when we walked in none of the workers were wearing a mask. The sushi chef who is in the bar area (visible by all) wasn't wearing a mask, nor the host who seated us at a table. Eventually they started to don masks as to-go orders were getting picked up. If you are nervous about eating in I would suggest placing your order to go. read more

So first the great things about Miso..quality food, big portions at an awesome price. We ordered the vegetable tempura to start out and I absolutely love their tempura batter. It is so fluffy, crunchy and light. I wish I could deep fry everything in their tempura batter. Their sushi was absolutely fresh. I loved each and every bite of the sushi and sashimi combo. It was also at a great price too. I was initially skeptical about ordering sushi but it wa absolutely delicious, try it. I'm docking a star because of service. Service was extremely slow on a busy weekend where all the tables were filled and there was a wait. I don't think our server ignored us on purpose, he was just always busy. We were on a time crunch too so we were a little frustrated. Along with the quality of service, no one explained the sushi and sashimi combo to us. The sashimi and nigiri were chosen by the chef and not picked by us. I would have liked to know exactly what we were eating but again did not want to disrupt our busy server. I will definitely try this place again maybe on a less busy time when we weren't so rushed. read more

Came here for lunch and it wasn't super busy but I'm sure it's like that for most places now. It was very clean and everyone had masks on so that's always a plus! Was greeted quickly and sat down promptly. Lunch menu was great and had a great mix of sushi with Korean food. As my friends ordered, they clearly knew what they were doing, so I followed their lead. One friend ordered a Spider Roll, while my other friend ordered nigiri of the salmon and snapper along with a Volcano Roll. I copied him. The nigiri was great, but I really enjoyed the flavor and kick from the Volcano Roll. The spicy mayo and jalapeños added a nice heat and balanced well with the shrimp. I also liked the crunch. After that, I sent in another order to try the nigiri of the grilled eel, which was heavenly. I have never had eel before, and it absolutely floored me with its flavor. I could easily eat five orders of it. The staff was attentive throughout our visit. One staff member somehow accidentally served my friend a glass of soy sauce instead of unsweetened tea, which was absolutely hilarious to me, so I don't really have anything to complain about. I have no idea how that mix-up happened, but maybe the soy sauce refill container looks similar to their tea containers and sits nearby. Either way, it was very funny. He did apologize for our reservation being lost, but blamed it on the system and denied any responsibility for taking care of it - basically just told us that "life is life". He did not offer a discount or any kind of relief for the setbacks or bad service. I wasn't expecting the world or anything, but good hospitality dictates that you do more that basically tell us to just deal with it. For the food: the sushi was pretty gnarly - it looked like somebody was angry at the fish when they were slicing. Most things needed salt. Steak and fried rice was good, but the vegetables were pretty much raw. I can forgive quite a bit when it comes to service, especially on graduation/mother's day weekend. But honestly I'm a little impressed at how little the entire staff cared about their guests.
