Today while doing laundry with my daughter we decided to try out Miso. I have seen the eat in Asian restaurant before but never knew what they sold. To my surprise they have curry chicken which is my favorite way to cook chicken. We ordered the curry chicken bowl with white rice, spinach and their corn salad which was amazing! We also had shredded mozzarella cheese in there also. It was sooooo delicious! It wasn't too spicy which was perfect because my daughter doesn't like spicy or hot dishes. There is an option for a hotter sauce which is perfect if you like your curry chicken more spicy. The cost for the curry chicken bowl was $8.95 before taxes came out to around 9 bucks and some change. My daughter and I shared the bowl and we were both content. The worker that took the order was very pleasant and the set up looked as if we were at subway. Your able to pick and choose toppings for your bowl or you can make it a wrap or a salad. This was my first time at Miso, my daughter selected Miso for her birthday meal. I had one of the signature bowls called a Dragon bowl. Choice of white or brown rice, chicken, edamame, shredded carrots and a curry sauce that looked liked brown gravy. I was impressed with the flavor of the sauce, my preference for a curry sauce is with coconut milk, but good as it came. The chicken was moist and the veggies very fresh. My wife and daughter each had a bowl with bulgogi and different sauces. The meat was very tender and will be tried on the next outting. When I looked at the menu online, I wouldn't have rushed out to try the food, but now I am a fan. Went back yesterday for my second visit. I made my own bowl with steak, veggies and bibimbap sauce. I was undecided between the sweet chile or bibimbap, but the staff gave an accurate description and let me sample the bibimbap. Had the right amount of heat and very flavorful. Can't believe I never left a review for Miso yet. I probably have been here at least 4-5x already. I normally go for the bowl since it is less messy than the wrap. Their portion size is amazing. They definitely do not skimp out on the meat or veggies. My favorite is the chicken bowl with brown rice, corn slaw, edamame, lettuce, carrots, and radishes. I think when they first opened they had pork too? But it seems their meat options have changed. The curry chicken is also very good. When I first ordered it, I thought it was just curried flavored chicken, but it seems they actually pour curry over the chicken. Very quick service especially if you are on the go and in a rush. They are basically a Korean Chipotle style restaurant with healthier ingredients. You can tell that they take the quality of the ingredients very seriously which is another plus. read more

Love !!! My boyfriend and I were at the local mall returning some things really quick with no intentions of stopping anywhere other than where we planned to go due to COVID and wanting to reduce our exposure to people. We decided that we would stop at MiSO at the mall and take our food Togo . We had never been here before and I was very skeptical as I have had MANY good poke options in the past so I can be very judgmental . But boy was I surprised ! I go the seahawk bowl because as a new patron I didn't really want to go through the process of creating my own bowl. The food was SO fresh , and the tuna was kept cool. HELLA good. My first time there and I got a roasted chicken bowl. Veryyyy fresh protein and veggies, they even pack the bowl pretty full! I literally can finish a chipotle bowl from Chipotle, but I couldn't with this bowl.. I had leftovers and brought it home for my mom to try and she loved it as well!!! I literally went back in the SAME DAY with my mother to get myself another bowl! Haha. I wish this place stays busy so they don't close down!!! Food was terrific. I got the classic wrapped in nori. Their miso soup broth was tasty and nice chunks of tofu. Tried the corn slaw, very unique and good. The tortilla chips were a little tough. Only gave 3 stars because I went in the bathroom and the floor was so sticky? that my shoes were squeaky back in the restaurant. Which made me look closer at the surroundings. This was a great find! I was in Lacey for a business and found this cute little joint! I want to say I had this idea of customizing kimbap (seaweed wrap) for a business idea and this place beat me to it! It's just like that! Like chipotle you can customize your own kimbap and bowls. So awesome. I got one of their classic wrap and it was delicious! I wish I got the bowl though, it was hard to eat in wrap style. I came here today for lunch after reading all the positive reviews on Yelp. I love the idea of a "make your own" Asian-style good food fast restaurant. Since it was my first time here I went with their classic bowl and added edamame. I really liked the hot and cold ingredients together. The steak bulgogi was flavorful, but I wish it was more like what you would get in a Korean restaurant (caramelized cuts of meat and onions). The corn slaw and kimchi were delicious and paired really well with the meat. The rice was okay, but hey, it's rice. The bibimbap sauce was delicious and really tied everything together (as it should). Needless to say, I would definitely get it again. I also had a chance to try a few bites of the Seoulmate. I liked everything about it, but it was bland. I would suggest adding either some bibimbap sauce or sriracha to give it some distinct flavor. The place itself is small, but immaculately clean. The owners are friendly and the service is fast. I'm not exactly a fan of the location (I wish it was closer to the freeway)... however, if you're craving some fresh Asian-inspired food on the go, it's definitely worth the venture into Lacey. read more

The food is good, no doubt about it. But their front facing personnel need some lesson on customer service. Today, August 15, 2020, between 11-11:30 am, we ordered two of their Sumo meal. The person preparing the meal asked for what dressing/sauce we wanted with the Sumo. He asked if we wanted the normal sauce. Not familiar with their "normal", I asked what's "normal". He lost his temper at this point. He snapped and was practically throwing the sauces as he was illustrating his point that those are the "normal" sauces. I walked out of the store. His rudeness was offensive. I'd like to point out that their boards didn't define the sauce that "normally" goes with their Sumo meal. And if he didn't have the patience to speak calmly when asked a question, he should probably be working in the kitchen, or maybe doing other things he would enjoy more than serving people their food. read more

This is by far my FAVORITE lunch spot. My office is just down the street, and within minutes I can run to Miso and get a healthy, delicious, and super affordable meal. I recommend building your own bowl - you end up getting more toppings because they arent trying to squeeze it into a wrap, but I also love the wraps too. My favorite is the pork, but the chicken is also really good. And ALWAYS get extra pickled radish - if you've never had it before, you must try it - its beyond delicious. I also recommend the corn slaw and edamame. And I usually opt for the bibimbap sauce and creamy sesame sauce together. Friendly staff, clean place, great food. Check it out. read more

We were looking for a quick, interesting place to eat dinner on our way back to Seattle after a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. MiSo did not disappoint. Our family of five sampled many things on the menu (steak bowl, chicken wrap, miso soup, kid's bowl with chicken) and everyone was satisfied. You can either build your own bowl or wrap or select one of the Signature combinations. I like a place that gives options but also presents recommendations so you don't have to invent your own meal if you're not in the mood for that. The food was fresh and tasty, the place is clean and cheerful, and the service is friendly. I'd like to come again if I didn't live so far away. Their set-up is kind of like Subway, in that you build your own rice bowl or wrap with choices of meat, veggies, and sauces. My husband tried a pulled pork bowl with sweet chilli sauce and it was fantastic! I got the roll (think sushi-burrito style) with bulgogi, veggies, a delightful corn slaw, and the bibimbap sauce. A friend saw this restaurant had opened and told me I should give it a try because I love authentic Asian food. I took my parents there this evening, and I gotta say, I wish we'd gone here sooner. The food tasted super fresh, very flavorful, and it wasn't all oily and fatty or overly salty. It was great! So you get to choose if you want a seaweed roll or a rice bowl or a salad. Then you choose the meat, and some veggies, and they finish it off with a sauce. I got the chicken bowl with corn salsa, cucumbers, and the creamy sesame sauce. My dad got the pork bowl with corn salsa and I can't remember the veggies, and the bibimbap sauce. My mom got the shrimp bowl with kimchi and peppers and mushrooms with tonkatsu sauce. We all got a meal so it included a drink and miso soup. We all loved our food and can't wait to come back! read more

I'm not a big fan of the other burrito bowl places, but I really liked MiSo. The shredded chicken was SO tender and moist (something I almost never say about other people's chicken). I added corn, edamame, and a yummy sesame sauce. It was to die for! The lady working the front counter was very attentive, even offered me a sample. I wish more people were there. I feel like the outside just looks a little unwelcoming, I never wanted to try it just by driving by a few times..my husband had to drag me in. Glad he did, though! read more

We LOVED this place when it first opened & enjoyed the owners presence. We moved away & couldn't visit as often but it remained a family favorite despite the loss of a house sauce, changing bowls & changes w sides. Today after acupuncture I realized the male staff are not holding up to the standard the owners started not so long ago. The music was loud & not the usual Korean feel. Very hipster. The latest bowls I try to use in gardening since everything is plastic. Recycling is a scam so please don't insult the issues in the Puget Sound. No cabbage? So I asked for more corn slaw (owners yummy recipe) to cover the rice (way too much to the ratio of chicken.) The workers weren't even responding to conversation. The men ahead of us were told the teriyaki sauce wasn't up to temp. For a lunch time on Thursday it was ... Game over. So little sweet chili sauce was put on I used more when I got home. (Thank goodness I wasn't out as it was really disturbing since different staff didn't cause these issues a month ago.) We can't recommend this place anymore when asked. If you're paying these guys $20-21 an hour then they are letting you down. I hope this gets resolved for the better in the future. Maybe the owners can do better training or put a camera on the behavior. It's not a McDonald's job. I'm in my 50's & it's a shame I didn't live closer because this place deserves concerted effort by the staff. The female staff was great last month. I happened to be driving past here after picking up a slice of cake for my birthday at Back Door Bakery. I'm really glad I stopped in. The concept of this restaurant is great. You customize your meal as you go along; which is not something I've seen in Asian food. I got the pork bowl with cheese, mushrooms, corn slaw, and teriyaki sauce. It was super yummy. HEALTHY, CLEAN, SIMPLE, FAST FOOD!!!! (Asian twist is optional but awesome!) I've eaten here more times than I can count and finally decided that I should leave a review since I love this place and eat here often. The best thing about this restaurant is that all of my co-workers, whether they are vegan, picky, hungry, dieting, health conscious, gluten free, paleo, or not ALL enjoy the food! WOOHOO!!! This is our "go-to" for fast food. It can be as light or heavy as we need our meal to be because of the options (i.e. double protein, salad, adding miso soup, etc.). It's great for kids as well -- my 3 year old son LOVES to pick what he puts in his rice bowl each time. You can change up the style, flavor, toppings, and protein so eating at this establishment never gets old. Speed and parking also makes this ideal for me. Even when there's a line, it moves quickly. They've also come through for me on 2 last minute catering orders and both were a hit. I was surprised to see that they had a few low reviews and looked over them. Emily H: If you think you thought you were going to a Korean restaurant, I'm not sure where you got that from. The restaurant is not advertised as one. It's "Korean Inspired" probably because one of the owners is Korean. For those who have an issue with the serving size.....well, then you're doing MiSo wrong. YOU are in control of creating your meal. If you create a wrap with 3 things in it, I can guarantee you it will look way smaller than the bowls I create. We were especially appreciative of the staff member who saw an unsafe situation unfolding in the parking lot and came out to alert us about it. He likely saved us from harm.
