Well, the spicy cucumber salad wasn't spicy at all and almost sweet. But the "bad" part was the server. The booth behind us (already seated when we arrived) received complimentary dessert (sesame balls/mochi, patrons left them behind untouched) and the other booth (seated after us, with a very obnoxious child) got towels to wash hands before eating. We got none of that. Instead, while I'm actively working through my meal, chopsticks in hand, server returned with the check and held it out in front of my face, expecting me to stop eating, put down the chopsticks, interrupt my pace, accept the check folio, wait until she cleared a space for me to set it back down before I could resume enjoying my meal. I stared at her until she decided to thrust it in my husband's face before clearing his sushi plate so he could accept the folio, set it down and wait while I finished. I wasn't offended by the offer of forks, that's common when it's us two older white people, but the disparity of service was RUDE. Food was great but that server. Yeeeesh.

The restaurant has a cozy, traditional Asian atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel really authentic. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and the service was great from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was delicious, and I'd definitely come back. The sushi is 4 stars in my opinion--good, but not great. The nigiri and specialty rolls were solid, and I especially liked the spicy tuna. I absolutely love sushi, so I'm always excited to find a place that offers all-you-can-eat sushi,…read moreand I definitely think this place is worth the money overall. The sushi is pretty tasty, and there's a good variety of rolls to choose from, which makes the all-you-can-eat option especially appealing if you're someone who likes trying a little bit of everything. For the price, you can definitely get your money's worth if you come hungry. My biggest issue, though, is the wait time between ordering and actually getting your sushi. It feels like you wait quite a while for your rolls to come out, and that can make the all-you-can-eat experience feel a little bit like you're getting scammed. By the time you finish your first order and finally get your second round of rolls, you can already have been sitting there for an hour. Since you're paying for all-you-can-eat, you obviously want to be able to order and enjoy multiple rounds without spending most of your meal waiting for the food to arrive. I think having more servers or more staff in general would really help speed up the process and make the experience much better. The atmosphere itself is pretty much what you'd expect from a typical sushi restaurant. It's casual and has a nice enough vibe, but the restaurant is usually pretty packed, so it can get fairly noisy. I personally don't mind a busy restaurant, but if you're looking for somewhere quiet and intimate, this probably isn't the place for that. The busyness does show that the restaurant is popular, though, and I can understand why people keep coming back. One thing I do really like is that you get free ice cream at the end of your meal. It's a small detail, but it's a nice way to finish everything off, especially after eating a ton of sushi. Overall, I'd definitely come back because I love sushi and I think the food and price are worth it. I just hope they can improve the service speed because the long waits between orders are really the only thing keeping this from being a five-star experience for me.

This sushi restaurant is extremely unprofessional and incredibly inappropriate…read more We have been coming to this establishment for 4 years consistently now, and we have introduced a lot of people to this establishment. We and everyone we have introduced to this sushi restaurant will no longer be giving our business to the immature and disrespectful people who work there. I've never been so disappointed or surprised by such immaturity. So for back story, when I was 38 weeks pregnant, they had completely messed up our order and I called and just let them know, the lady was arguing with me back and forth for no reason, then claimed she was going to refund the one combination since I couldn't eat mine (raw fish) but my husband had started to eat his already. Fine, okay. Never got the refund. Pretty weird , but we still continued to order from them and give them another shot. We usually always order the same thing. Combination that includes the crunch scallops. This roll has cooked scallops in the roll and fried scallops on top. We have ordered that particular roll on many occasions , so we know what it looks like. Anyways, last night, I called and I ordered $100 worth of sushi. As soon as I gave my name, the man who took my order quite literally LAUGHED at me. Then, my husband went to go pick up the food and decided to check it. They gave us RAW scallops in the sushi, and RAW scallops on top that the soggy breading clearly had fallen off of since it was still raw and wet. We had to put them in the air fryer. We called and asked what happened and they played dumb over and over and the man said "I was laughing at a funny video, not your name" what the hell?? That is so far from the truth and a terrible lie because how are you taking my order on the computer while watching a video at the same time? It was quite clearly a manipulative and purposefully thought out tactic to ruin our food. He continued to argue with my husband on the phone, and then passed the phone to a female who proceeded to be completely unprofessional and then she hung up on us. We let it go for the night, but no one ate the crunch scallops sushi. Who wants to eat a raw scallop? Not me. We are very disappointed and recommend people find a better sushi restaurant with more professional workers. This could happen to anyone.

The flavors were good but not quite as stand out as the appearance. It could have used something - the pork was a little too lean and could have used more texture. Although our tickets indicated a 7:00 PM start, we didn't realize the full event began at 5:00 PM and arrived late. Despite our tardiness, the owners were incredibly accommodating. Not only did they help us get our food quickly, but since the venue was full, they appeared to give up their own management seats right next to the stage so we could sit. As someone with a disability, this gesture was a huge help and deeply appreciated. Their kindness and discretion--never making us feel like a burden--have earned them a loyal patron for life. The food was excellent. Every dish was cooked to perfection with flavors that truly stood out; the chef is clearly outstanding. As for the entertainment, Katsura Sunshine was wonderful and friendly. I ordered a number of nigiri which had the perfect ratio of fish to rice. The Hamachi, Saba, and Unagi were my favorite but the Amaebi was also solid. We added to our meal with an order of Agadashi which is deep fried tofu in a savory broth and a geso age or deep fried squid legs, both were great but I'd go back for the agedashi again! We waited 15 minutes just to get any kind of service, eventually having to flag down a server ourselves. After placing our first round of orders, the wait continued. Nearly an hour later, I got up to find a manager because we felt completely neglected as a table while watching other tables receive much better service. Turns out, our server was the manager. When we asked what was taking so long, she apologized and told us the rest of our first order was being plated. That was apparently not true, because we waited another 30 minutes before it finally arrived. I had my young son with me, who was absolutely starving. After an hour and a half of being there and still not having received all of our food, I went to the counter and asked for everything to be boxed up. I was told it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting those 10 minutes, I finally had to leave my sister behind and take my son home because it was already past his bedtime and he needed to eat. And somehow, it got worse. My sister had to ask another server for our check because our original server/manager never came back to check on us or close out our table. During that interaction, the server spilled soy sauce all over my brother-in-law, ruining his entire outfit. The response was essentially just "I'm sorry, are you okay?" with no offer to help clean up or any real effort to make things right. At no point throughout the evening did anyone proactively check on us, communicate the delays, or acknowledge how unacceptable the situation had become. We had to repeatedly get up and track someone down just to receive basic service. What is most disappointing is that despite everything, no one offered a discount, compensation, or even made a genuine effort to make things right. After the amount of time we waited, the lack of service, being given inaccurate information, and the additional incident with the soy sauce, I absolutely feel some sort of adjustment to our bill was warranted. We weren't expecting perfection, but we did expect basic customer service and consideration, especially with a young child at the table. It's incredibly disappointing to go from genuinely enjoying a restaurant to leaving feeling like our business didn't matter. This wasn't just a long wait. It was an entire evening of being overlooked, having to advocate for ourselves, and ultimately leaving with a terrible impression of a place we once loved.

Viewed the menu online, and it looked good, so we decided to go there. It was only an hour before closing time on a Sunday night, but we were welcomed in, and seated quickly. They also have a kiosk if you want to place a to-go order in person. Our server, who we later found out is the owner, was a friendly and helpful lady named Grace. I ordered a cup of Wonton Soup to start, and the portion was very large, especially considering the reasonable price. It was absolutely Delicious. Next, I had the Bo Bo Platter, which were assorted appetizers. The only Vegetarian item on it were the egg rolls, so my friend didn't have anything, and it was a lot of food, all for me. I enjoyed everything, especially the chicken wings, beef skewers and fried shrimp. For my entree, I got the Sizzling Udon Noodles. Unfortunately, I was a bit stuffed, so I couldn't finish it. I took some back to the hotel, along with a couple of unfinished appetizers. I heated them in the room's microwave the next morning, and although not as good as when freshly made, I still enjoyed my "breakfast." At no time did we feel rushed, even though we ended up being there at least 30-45 minutes past closing. Grace said she had recently taken over ownership, and I so hope she is successful. If we ever find ourselves in Aurora, CO, we will hopefully be able to stop by.
