My friend and I went to dinner here last night, and I'll be honest, I made the mistake of not checking reviews before making a reservation. We ordered drinks, then waited about 10 minutes with nothing in hand before ordering food. The waitress suggested a few popular items, and we ended up ordering five things, some we were already considering anyway. A couple minutes later, she came back and said she forgot to put in our drinks and asked us to repeat them. Ironically, the drinks ended up being the only redeeming part of the night. All of the tapas came out at once, which I've never experienced before. Usually they're staggered, one or two at a time, not all dropped on the table together. As for the food... it was disappointing across the board. We ordered roasted vegetables (which somehow were still messed up), dates wrapped in chorizo that were overcooked, dry ribs, and a deviled egg with Dungeness crab that had a strong fishy smell. The chicken skewer was overly lemony, and I normally love anything with lemon. I also ordered bread and had to remind the waitress about it. When it finally came out, it was just plain, dry bread, no butter, no oil, no balsamic... nothing. So, they can even screw up bread! The space itself is beautiful, but between the service (and they weren't even busy) and the food, I have no desire to go back. Street parking, wasn't difficult to find. There could be parking garages nearby but we found a spot just outside across the street so we lucked out. Flavors are great, very close to what we experience each year in souther spain. Potata Bravas had amazing flavor, we were warned the texture is not the same, did not mind as it had the right kick and thickness of sauce. The paella had a lot of seafood and good flavor. The meatballs were prepared well, the shrimp was close to gumbas pil pil (minus the garlic) was not over cooked. Servings sizes were perfect for tapas. Prices very reasonable. Had something similar to a wine drink we normally get in Spain and it was delicious (and not expensive!) The staff are all very professional and friendly, great interior decor, fun place for a date night or group gathering. I would highly recommend if you are in the area, we will be back! read more

A friend and I went on at 5:30 on a Sunday. There was plenty of space. We ordered drinks and decided on three of the tapas. The drinks were good. The first selection was good. The second didn't come out. The third was really bad. The costillas. We told our server that the ribs were completely bland, like they had been boiled and placed on the rice. The rice was very overcooked! We chose another dish to replace it and asked about our third item. The item sent to replace the ribs was good. The third item came out and wasn't even as described on the menu, and it was disgusting. The server said they tasted it when it went back, and said they agreed that it was not good, nor was it as described on the menu. So, only one item we ordered was ok, the rest was garbage (not including the replacement they sent), so we had no faith that anything else we'd try would be any good. Instead, we left without having any dinner entrees. It was a huge let down. I had a birthday dinner reservation coming up, but I canceled it after that visit. I'm sorry to write this review, but our experience here was disappointing. I understand they just opened and are likely still working things out, but the overall concept didn't seem to come together. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unsure at times, which made the experience feel disorganized. The food, unfortunately, missed the mark. We waited about 20 minutes for the rotating tapas to come out, and when they did, most of the items were repetitive. They served Jamón Ibérico, which we've had many times before, but the chef didn't seem to know how to slice it properly, so it was extremely tough and difficult to eat. The paella also didn't sit well with my partner and he felt super sick after. There was also a cocktail that included truffle popcorn, and the chef came out to make freeze-dried, glitter-coated popcorn tableside. While it was certainly a show, the popcorn just tasted stale and cold and the glitter got everywhere rather than adding to the experience. I had considered giving the restaurant another try, but after how the first visit went, I feel hesitant. I genuinely hope they're able to refine the concept, menu, and service with more time. First time trying Miro Tapas. We happened to be right behind the restaurant at the Tacoma Convention Center for a show, was super convenient to walk 1 min to Miro Tapas! Miro Tapas is in the old Pacific Grill building- right downtown. We sat in the lounge and service was great! The cocktail booklet is really impressive- lots of creative cocktails to choose from. I tried two- the watermelon Margarita, and the Spanish Daisy- both were fantastic. We also tried a great assortment of tapas- the fried chicken sliders, beef sliders, carne asada tacos, and the bacon wrapped dates- all were fantastic. The bacon wrapped dates were my favorite. This is an excellent place with a group of friends, coworkers, etc. I love the extensive drink list for both cocktails and mocktails- all drinks were delicious and satisfied all of us. We ordered tapas - cold and hot from the seafood paella to cornbread with Jamon. Everything was amazing and more than what we had expected for tapa style. I highly recommend the paella, and ask about portions because these dishes can serve multiple people, which was a definite plus. "A Spanish dining cuisine" is their logo, but as a Spaniard, who went to dinner with another Spaniard, we do not agree. The restaurant itself is very nice, cute building, and parking is on the street or various lots around. This restaurant copies Texas de Brasil and Fogo de Chao on their serving style. The left and right columns on the menu are a la carte, while the colorful columns in the middle, or "tapas", are brought around by wait staff and offered to each table. The random tiny red and green plastic discs on each table are supposed to be placed at the edge of your table to signal if you want them to come by with food. We learned this halfway through our dinner, as no one explained it to us. You're charged as a conveyer belt sushi style place would charge you - per plate/dish. Pros - building? Ambiance? The 3-inch pan where the coffee rub meat was served ($14), 3 bacon wrapped (tiny) dates with goat cheese filling ($8), the "chorizo" with clams, (which was italian hot sausage), and the 2 shrimp, each costing $7. The menu on their website, with spelling errors and all, is not entirely accurate to what the in-house menu looks like (ex: website menu states their dates have chorizo, but we were served bacon). Cons - it's a doozy, so buckle up or skip to the TL;DR, because if you're going to gentrify the tapeo experience, expect Spaniards to be pissed. Tapas are meant to be shareable, well- portioned and affordable. $14 for 2 shrimp is blasphemy. The table next to us told us NOT to get the mackarel, and we didn't listen so we ended up consuming a million fish bones. The flavor wasn't bad, but somehow the citrus garlic flavor just tasted sweet. The pan con tomate was tomato jam reminiscent of the subway chicken teriyaki glaze, and so very, very sweet. That's not pan con tomate. Don't even get me started on the absolute butchering of the jamón. Whoever was CUTTING (Not slicing) into it needs to be trained. Not only do you NOT cut a pata negra like that, but we were served the tough skin bits that we usually reserve for broths and soups. That also came with a "tomate preserve" weird ass dip that had whole almonds in it. Why? Because Americans. The selection de 3 had tasteless humus. Chickpeas are flavorful, but this was like eating tofu spread. It somehow was paired with blue cheese crumbles, 2 tiny slices of manchego, a random slice of quince paste, and some random Italian olives. Make it make sense!? The dish that did it for me was the tortilla de whatever that was. Not only were the potatoes BROWN (see photos), but it was dry, stuck to the pan, tasted SWEET, and somehow the inside had holes??? Did it need to air itself out?? The meatballs tasted okay, but were somehow chewy and dry? I've had some shitty Spanish wanna-be food before, but this was tasteless blasphemy after tasteless blasphemy, and all of that amounted to almost $300. Did I mention that my friend's husband was brought HALF a beer because they ran out and instead of not charging him for HALF a beer they had the gall to say we would get a discount on it?!? This is after charging us for an a la carte dish we never got and had to ask to be taken off the bill. In the 3 hours we were there, only 3 plates were ever removed from our table, so we ended up piling things on top of other things. If you somehow missed the rounds of tapas, you could potentially go hungry if you decide not to order from the a la carte part of the menu. Also, gazpacho and salmorejo are two different dishes, contrary to what this restaurant would have you believe (for $9). TL;DR - Just don't. Or do? But just know it's gentrified, overpriced, tiny food. read more

VALENTINE'S DAY FIASCO * AMBIANCE () - Nicely lit open spaces with optional seating spaces ranging from big sofa booths to shared open seating places, to a lounge area with a street view and bar area decorated with trees in a high ceiling industrial space. * SERVICE (Kitchen & Waiters ‍‍‍) - Our reservation was scheduled for 6:30 and we showed up about 10min early. The hostess was gracious enough to seat us, reminded us we had an 1hr 45min time limit and gave us our choice of seating minus the booths (for parties of four). Service was EXTREMELY slow and chaotic!!! Orders were delayed and servers were bringing appetizers to the wrong tables multiple times. We ordered 3 appetizers and only received 1 (Ceviché). We were comped an additional appetizer because one of the apps they ran out of and the third app they completely forgot. Our entrées didn't arrive until about 1hr 15min. We were constantly left unattended as the servers were also the bar tenders who kept apologizing for the lack of service. We even had to cancel the dessert order (Churros & flan) which never showed after waiting 20min just for dessert alone. Our total time at the restaurant ended up being 2hrs 45min due to the slow turn out from the kitchen. * FOOD () - The quality of what we did receive was prepared & cooked nicely. The portions were generous and the pricing reasonable for what we ordered (Paella Mixtá & Churascos Chimichurri), which (not gonna lie) was delicious. * PARKING (‍) - on a normal weekday (non-holiday or special occasion) is shared with Nate Jackson's comedy club so it can be sporadic. It's located on a Main Street but easy to get too. Paid for parking across the street fills up quick with a flat rate of $12 for 10hrs. * OVERALL VERDICT (‍) - We would not try this place again! This place despite its amazing decorum, open space, and flavorful food is stifled by poor service caused by a slow and chaotic kitchen. Unfortunately they underwhelmed and performed poorly on a night "Valentine's Day" of all days they should not have. Unless you don't mind wasting your time and based on other reviews, this new Tacoma restaurant has already established bad habits with slow service. I am so tired of tip gouging. As with many restaurants, this one includes calculations for different tip ranges. No problem, it's actually convenient. But they include TAX in the base of the calculation. The amount of tax the state and city choose to levy on a meal has nothing to do with the basis for applying a tip percentage. I am a good tipper and believe in tipping hard-working people. My mom waited tables to support all of us growing up. But this is a total breach of trust. I will not be going back. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. She was very helpful ordering dishes. The roasted vegetable paella was so good! I heard they switched to a more traditional paella, which of course is the correct move. It was crispy and soft with beautiful variety of color and veggies. Highly recommend. The steak tapas was so tender. And the bacon wrapped goat cheese dates were insane! I gave 4 stars because the wine menu seemed low on stock for what I wanted, but luckily I am not picky. The wine we had was still lovely. Also, they seem to still be in the reflective stage of finding the flow of a new restaurant as they do not do the rotating tapas like I was looking forward to. I had the Churrasco Con Chimichurri and it was amazing. "Yeah, right. Just rice, beans, and meat." I hear you say. NOT SO!!! The rice was had great flavor and included pieces of tomato and other things I can't name that made it special. The meat was tender and they did a beautiful job with the topping .... again I can't name the ingredients, but the flavors were very rich. Preston served us and was a complete delight. He was attentive and at the same time, never interrupted. How many times does a server barge up to the table and interrupt your conversation to get their task done? Crazy, right? Happens all the time. Preston was close by but not intrusive, and was very pleasant to talk with. He was happy to visit the kitchen to discover ingredients we were unfamiliar with. Wow. When we ordered a second round, we waited nearly 30 minutes, eventually having to walk up to the bar ourselves to remind the bartender, who was also acting as our server. Shortly after, that same bartender walked off the job and never returned, leaving our table without any service while the remaining staff walked around without addressing guests or attempting to recover the situation. The food was mediocre at best, and to make matters worse, we waited almost an hour just to get our check, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. One of the most disorganized and frustrating dining experiences I've had. I will not be returning and would strongly recommend choosing somewhere else. read more

The drinks were beautifully done and even their mocktails were little works of art. We tasted an array of tapas and each were delicious in their own way. This place was amazing! Great vibes from the moment we walked in--we were immediately in awe. The décor and lighting are stunning, and they've truly created an inviting and memorable atmosphere. We came in for happy hour (which is all day!), and Raul, the bartender, greeted us with a smile and a great personality. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and upbeat. Both Jacobs--the bartender and the manager--were friendly and very attentive throughout our visit. We ordered the house wine at $14 for an 8oz pour. It was very good, though for a happy hour price, it felt a bit on the higher side. The food, however, was delicious and fairly priced. And now for the star of the show... the Chorizo and Goat Cheese Dates! Absolutely outstanding. If I had known how good they were, I would have ordered two plates--they were that incredible. Our recent visit to this restaurant on Sunday, February 15, 2026, was disappointing from start to finish, marked by avoidable service issues, poor communication, and food that failed to deliver on flavor or authenticity. We had made a reservation for 3:00 p.m. through the restaurant's online system. However, upon arrival, the doors were locked and the posted hours indicated they did not open until 3:30 p.m. When we returned at 3:30, the doors were still locked despite staff visibly moving inside. It wasn't until 3:40 p.m. that we were finally let in, with no acknowledgment of the delay. We were simply told to sit anywhere. It quickly became clear that the staff member assisting us was both the server and the bartender -- despite us not sitting in the bar area. This dual role created noticeable strain on service throughout the visit. One of our friends ordered a specialty cocktail that was supposed to come with truffle popcorn, but it arrived without it. When we brought this to the attention of another staff member -- presumably the manager -- we were told the truffle popcorn was no longer offered, though it "might" return in the future. If so, the cocktail menu, which was already outdated and shared among multiple tables, should be updated to reflect current offerings. We ordered a second round of cocktails, but after 30 minutes with no drinks and no check‑ins from staff, I walked to the bar to inquire. It was obvious the server/bartender was overwhelmed trying to manage the entire restaurant's drink orders while also serving tables. This was especially concerning given there were only about 20 guests in the restaurant. We ordered a variety of tapas -- Pan Con Tomates, Tortilla De Patatas con Huevos, Chorizo and Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates, Borona, Pate de Olivo con Setas, Calamares Andaluza, Patatas Bravas, and Huevos Rellenos de Dungeness Crab. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. The dishes lacked seasoning, authenticity, and overall flavor, leaving us underwhelmed across the board. After finishing our drinks and tapas, we waited more than 45 minutes without any interaction from staff. Our server had disappeared entirely -- not at the bar, not on the floor. When I approached the bar again, the manager informed me that our server had walked out and was no longer there. It took another 10 minutes before a different server brought our check. Two cocktails that were supposed to be comped were still on the bill, though the new server quickly corrected the mistake and offered a sincere apology. Her professionalism was the one bright spot of the evening. Later that night, I called the restaurant at 9:35 p.m. to get the name of the server who helped us at the end so I could acknowledge her. Despite the restaurant being open until 10:00 p.m., no one answered, and the call went to a recorded message -- yet another disappointing reflection of the establishment's lack of attentiveness. Overall, the experience was marked by poor service, lack of communication, and subpar food quality. Between the delayed opening, overwhelmed staff, inaccurate menu, long waits, and a server walking out mid‑shift, it's clear this restaurant has significant operational issues to address. First off, what a vibe! The place has a beautiful, upscale interior and the people are friendly and very chill. You immediately feel welcomed and amongst friends at the bar or you can sit in a booth for a more intimate atmosphere. The bar has an extensive selection of great alcohol (whiskeys being my favorite, I was in heaven.) The staff is very knowledgeable and make some beautiful and flavorful artisan cocktails. The tapas menu has a variety of delicious noshes. We had the charcuterie which had a ton of food, the cornbread (Omgosh I was southern heaven) and my husband had the chips and dip because he was already full from a late lunch. My wife's calamari arrived about 25 minutes after we were seated at our table and we ordered our dinner and more drinks when her appetizer arrived which was about 9pm about 20 minutes pass and I ask the waiter about my oysters and he goes and checks on them. Long story short it another 15 minutes for my oysters and drinks to come out. About 9:50 my meal comes out and I ordered my steak rare and it was way over cooked! It was well done and the rice was burnt and sticking to the pan it was served in and the seafood was way over cooked. So I sent it back and the manager informed me that the kitchen was closed. So my wife asked about her food and the manager told her she wasn't going to get her food and I wasn't going to get my food redone. So we were there over two hours and barely got our appetizers. This is a hard pass for me from here on out. I don't care if it's the last restaurant on the planet!!!! We had high hopes for our dinner out last night when we came in. But left sadly very disappointed and wondering how long this place will remain open. A lovely hostess greeted us and sat us. That was the most and only friendly attention we got the rest of the night. The ambience and setting is lovely! We were just disappointed the service and food didn't match. The website discussed a tapas cart and a wine cart in the main dining room but that never appeared during our visit, Several of the wines on the wines by the glass menu were unavailable. We ordered 5 different tapas to try. The grilled vegetables were bland and could have used some seasoning or a marinade. The deviled eggs with Dungeness crab were decent but lacked any pizzaz and could have used something to boost the oomph. The egg and potato dish again was bland and lacked any pizzaz. I would have asked for some hot sauce if the server had ever returned to check on us. The salmon crudo was essentially a crostini with a few tiny slivers of salmon, some pickled red onion and a lovely fresh fig. The best part was the fig. The only highlight of the evening was the albondigas meatballs- well done. Flavorful and a great tomato sauce. I was disappointed that no one asked us how the meal was or checked in during our dining experience. We will not be returning. read more

Was a litte hesitant due to past reviews but pleasantly surprised. drinks were strong. service friendly and fast. patatas bravas crispy outside hot and tender inside. Calamares could use bit more seasoning but texture just right. paella size just right for sharing. Next up, will try the brunch read more

Came in missing the Pacific Grill. Left loving Miro Tapas. Beautiful restaurant. Everything we had was delicious--so much so we doubled up on the Dates with Spanish Goat cheese and spicy chorizo all wrapped in bacon. The bartender, Jasmine was friendly and very helpful--both with describing the menu and the bourbons (and there were many). We did look up the menu before we went over but found it difficult to read online. I wish they would print it without the color and in larger type. read more
