I received a response from someone at the corporate level who has yet to respond to my simple questions. There was $16.00 remaining on my laundry card so I went back to the scene of the crime. This time there was but one washing machine out of order. Always a good thing. The machines I used were in excellent working order, from pre wash to final rinse and spin. What I wasn't told last week is there is an option for drying the laundry at no cost, unless the customer chooses to pay. The timing is at 20 minute intervals, which poses no problem. Although the aforementioned is the complete opposite of last week's debacle, I have yet to be given reply as to why I received no refund for the monies spent on a larger machine $14.00 having to use the $8.00 at no cost to myself. I spent $14.00 on a machine that didn't work and had to jam a huge load of laundry into a medium sized machine with the wasted soap not being replaced. The guy behind me confirmed that I had put a dollar in and received no coins and the owner tells me he thinks I'm a liar but will refund my money anyway. Whatever. I understand he's probably had people do this many times before and they were actually lying. He then proceeds to watch me load my laundry into the dryer and tell me he knows I was lying. The owner of the laundry (a friend) no longer trusted them to take away eight 13-gallon bags of her clothing and household items. We both reached out by telephone. I have emailed numerous times. It has now been two weeks, and I am still waiting for a refund OR EVEN A RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS. Caveat emptor--buyer beware.
