Came here for lunch and there was basically no waiting. There is sidewalk dining and indoor dining as well. I went for the Bureka and my friend ordered something with a sharma chicken dish. I also got the White Sangria (although i ordered the Rose). Food was good, the eggs could have used more jazzing up but the meal was not greasy and it left me satiated so that was good. My dish came with this bread like thing which I assume is the Bureka. It was interesting because at first the texture of the inside made me think "Wait...is this thing fully baked?" I wasn't really sure what to expect. I had imagined differently I guess. I liked the tomato salad that came with the dish. I prob would give 4 star. I deducted a star but the poor table service. I arrived waiting for a friend and despite this no one staff came to for about 20-25mins as i sat. No water...no menu..no inquiries that maybe I want to order something while I waited. I shouldn't say "no staff" but in particular the woman who sat me and ended up being the waitress for the table was the one who went MIA. Another staffer noticed me sitting there and he came over to apologize and he attended to me even though he did mention that he wasn't my assigned server but he felt bad that I had been sitting here for so long. Ventured to Brooklyn for dinner with a party of 4 on a Saturday night at 6 pm. Our friends come for brunch here frequently and it was their first time eating in for dinner! Plenty of seats available at 6 pm but it quickly filled up. Outdoor seating has heaters and beautiful floral decorations. They only seat you once your whole party has arrived and they are very efficient. We were seated immediately once our party was complete and orders were taken very quickly. They gave us a carafe of water and everything was pretty self-sufficient from there. Besides giving us our food, we were pretty much unbothered the rest of the meal but if we needed them, our waitstaff came very quickly. No frills waitstaff which I prefer, honestly, and the food was seasoned very well, lots of bursting flavor and loved the tableside presentation of the lamb shawarma. We ordered: 3 Mezzes ($29) - Goat Cheese Crostini, Falafel, Hummus Vegan Shawarma ($19) - delicious! Lamb Shawarma ($28) - peppers are quite spicy but rice is super delicious with the lamb, would definitely order again Chicken Shawarma ($24) - so much food atop the pita, I ate half of it before I could wrap it up. Swung by for a girls night and we made a last minute reservation (day of) around 7PM Friday - it wasn't too crowded and service was great overall. We ordered drinks, did the 3 for $30 mezze deal (hummus, Brussels sprouts, falafel), and the chicken shawarma. The hummus was creamy, the sprouts were tangy and the falafel was cooked just right (not too fried, the picked radish was a nice touch). The shawarma was very flavorful and super seasoned - we actually couldn't finish the whole thing but the cooked spinach and juicy tomatoes pierced the seasoning pretty well. The veggies definitely made the pita on the bottom a bit soggy though, maybe it would have been better on the side? All in all, we enjoyed our meal and were decently stuffed. This was my second time coming to Miriam and I wish I had written the review immediately after my first experience because now I can't remember what I got, but I remember thinking it was incredible. The menu here has a wide variety of delicious options to where it's almost hard to make a choice. The service is consistently great, and I was very impressed by the set up they have for coronavirus precautions. They have outdoor booths separated by plexi glass or plastic so that respiratory droplets from different groups can't cross. They also have heaters for outdoor dining in the cold. Today I got the green shakshuka and it was good but I think it could have been a little more flavorful. However it was delicious when eaten on top of the pita bread - great combo! I also got a very tasty raspberry mint lemonade. I hope I can remember what I got the first time and get it again. My friend and I came here on a Thursday after work, around 6pm. We did not have a reservation, but was about to get seated right away. The place did not seem so crowded when I first got there, but once we sat down, it seems like the place started to fill up very very quickly. Came here for dinner on a Thursday night. We were a party of 4 seated immediately. We shared the Dipping Plate (comes with the house flatbread), and I had the fried brussel sprouts and the fried halloumi cheese & artichoke heart salad (vegetarian). The salad had the perfect amount of dressing and I'm not usually a fan of raw mushrooms but these were alright. The fried brussel sprouts were amazing (make sure you mix it up cause there's some yummy honey vinegar that collects at the bottom). The house flatbread was delicious with the za'atar seasoning and most of the dips (tahini and tzatziki) were delicious too. The butternut squash dip didn't have much flavor but the tatbelah (green dip) was a kick of garlicky-tangy flavor to the mouth...maybe a bit too much. The timing of the dishes was weird. They take a while to prepare the food so be patient. The waiter told us he'd bring the dipping plate out first but we ended getting the main dishes for 3 of our party first. Unfortunate because the 4th person without food was my partner and he felt it was totally justified to mooch off my plates. Then we got the dipping plate and I was able to distract him with that. But then he was back to stealing my food until finally his dish came (and not a moment too soon!). Heard this place is bopping for brunch so I'll be trying that next! COVID times assessment: Menu by QR code, hand sanitizer at your table, and plenty of space between tables. Even though we were seated at the sidewalk, the outdoor seating is on a side street (not on the much busier 5th ave) so it feels roomy. I used to be a faithful customer of this restaurant until October 16th when I noticed that each item that I ordered that day was $2 more than the same order a few days prior. I immediately called to complain and was told by the onsite manager to email them so I did. My first email said this and included photos and videos of the food: "Hello, I just got off my he phone with the gentleman who is in charge this morning but not the manager and I voiced this complaint to him and he suggested that I email you all. Basically my roommates Michelle and I have been ordering from you guys about once a week for a good year or so via Uber Eats. This morning's order each item is $2 more. I left a note for each item noting that unless there were bigger portion sizes when my order is delivered in a bit - more bacon for the extra $2, bigger homemade granola for the extra $2, and more pieces of French toast in order for the extra $2. I understand your supply chain may have gone up or whatever but in every area of life whether it's rent, utilities going up, gas going up, interests rates, grocery bills, and now you guys - the cost is always shifting to us when our salaries aren't going up to keep up with inflation. Ordering from you guys this morning was my last straw so I had to call and voice my concerns. This just really annoyed me when k placed the order today because consumers cannot catch a break no matter where we turn. So now I'm paying $2 more for each item and getting LESS FOOD! How is this fair??? If you're going to charge more at least serve the same portion sizes and be nicer to your loyal customers when they do issue a complaint instead of ignoring them. Great food with limited but very authentic dishes. The right place for egg lovers. I was in a mood of kabobs, so order chicken sheekh kabobs, which was delicious and very nicely marinated with the Mediterranean spices. We also enjoyed green sauce and mango chatni sauce with hummus. Chicken kabobs served on the flatbread with the layer if spinach (could be more cooked or softer) and yogurt sauce. We asked for some hot sauce which was yummy and fresh. Another dish was served with an excellent presentation in a round bowl called Sabeh platter was good too, and basically, it's a vegetable dish. We ordered the burekas, herb eggs, falafel, lamb shawarma, and Norwegian eggs. The burekas was super light and fluffy - like a croissant. At first, I thought the cheese would be too heavy but it was actually very light. I dipped it with the burekas and layered scrambled egg on top. It's the perfect combo you guys!!!
