Excellent brunch spot. For only $14, I had the steak and eggs which came with pita bread, salad, home style potatoes, and coffee. The food was delicious, filling and fresh and they serve their brunch menu everyday until 4 pm. The service was attentive and although the place was really busy, we only had to wait a few minutes to get seated as the place has quite a few tables inside. I highly recommend this place for brunch- good value for tasty food. read more

Miriam - Hanger Steak with Scrambled Eggs- brunch special - Wine Bars Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Date night with my daughter show at Barclay only 4 minute walk. This place has a village feel Great Service Very Good Food The Jerusalem bagel, Falafel plate and the Schnitzel plate The prices are very reasonable I would definitely come back read more

Brunch daily! That's awesome. I like the look and feel of this place. I like the lights and gorgeous plates on the wall. We had the same waitress twice. She is friendly and has the coolest/interesting earrings. I like the steak (medium rare is perfect for the thin steak strip) and organic eggs. This meal comes with salad, home fries, choice of a bread/pita, and coffee. I'm impressed with the home fries. My boyfriend had the salmon omelette. We both agreed the salmon was too salty. My friend ordered the salmon omelette and he said the same thing. I guess it's safe to say this dish is too salty. read more

I think it's officially over. When they changed their happy hour and renovated years ago, it wasn't ideal, but it was good enough. Then it was fine. Now it's downright disappointing. Happy hour is gone. There was a dirty bucket of water right next to my place setting at the bar. Nothing seemed fresh except the hummus (think canned chickpeas, tasteless vegetables, rubbery shrimp). The "creamy feta" in my mediterranean salad was a cold block thrown atop the not-fresh veggies. I actually stopped eating because I was both turned off and weary of stomach issues. I'm disappointed and sad. This used to be my "go to" and now it's on my "to avoid." What happened, Miriam? (And don't say COVID, because it's been cascading downhill since before the pandemic.) I paid a whole lotta money for a bad taste in my mouth. End of an era. read more

If Miriam was a young lady, I'd ask her out on a date ... to Miriam's. Wait, that doesn't make sense. Well, maybe in another universe a la Rick and Morty, it can. Great staff, great food, great cozy decor for a lazy weekend boozy brunch with friends. WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB. read more

Miriam is a one of a kind place! My husband and I have been coming here for years for their exceptional service and food. Following covid we made our first visit here yesterday. The wait was not terrible about 10 minutes for prime brunch time for outdoor seating. They have little enclosed huts with heat which is great - making outdoor dining somewhat bearable. We had the Israeli breakfast and Jerusalem breakfast which is always exceptional. Their take on Israeli cuisine is spot on down to the Mint Tea! Staff is super attentive and a definitely must try in Park Slope! read more

I went there for a birthday dinner earlier this year. Loved the decor. Fancy and appropriate for celebrations. They were able to accommodate all 15 of us in the back and separate us from the rest of the restaurant. Great wine list. I'm not a huge fan of this type of food but I did appreciate the chicken. Proportions were small to medium. Price slightly expensive. would love to go back for brunch read more

Food was just ok...took a while for it to come and when it did, it was lukewarm. Staff was friendly but was disappointed in the quality of the food. read more

Not impressed. First the wait was longer than we were told and the first table was right in front of the toilet. You can actually see the toilet seat and you have people lining up right behind you. After we changed tables it took another 15min until someone took our order and then around 30min for the food to come out. The food is good if you can deal with all of the above. read more

I actually managed to swallow every bite of my meal because the wait was just so long, luckily Miriam sits at Park Slope where you could at least shop/walk around the neighborhood before getting seated. I met with two girlfriends for our usual Saturday brunch, we ordered the Chicken Shwarma, with a side of French Toast, Herbed Eggs with salad and a side of ham, hummus platter with scrambled eggs with an extra side of hummus and pitta. The meal turned out to be great, one of my girlfriends is particularly picky about her chopped salad loved the cucumber/tomato salad cause it's got the perfect seasoning. The Chicken Shwarma could have needed more flavor, but it's loaded with chicken and spinach, I'm usually not a big fan for spinach, it was sauteed just the perfect way, I managed to finish most of it. I was actually pretty full before I at ethe French Toast, but to my surprised, the French Toast had a very nice texture and it was not too sweet or burnt, I ate them in four bites. The hummus was not bad but the pitta needed some love. I also got the sparkling raspberry lemonade, which tasted like detergent with mint....but it's refreshing, I just felt like I could spit it right on top of clothes to go into the washer.... read more

great brunch spot. one of the better restaurants in park slope. and unique. worth a visit.

Oh Miriam Miriam Miriam. My go-to brunch spot in my hood of Park Slope (and that's saying something!). Ask any local and you will find many who will point you in the direction to Miriam. When I first saw the menu online (brunch hunting of course), it looked like a regular Mediterranean fusion restaurant with appetizing selections. I decided to then go ahead and try it out for myself. The wait was not long (and still seems to be quick), and we were quickly seated by very friendly staff. The decor is quaint and cozy. Nothing special - there is a bar too for those who are interested. Anyways, time to talk food because that's probably why you are looking on here. A-MAZING. What I recommend: 1. BUREKAS (yum!!) - puffed pastry pocket stuffed with feta & olives, served with eggs, labneh cheese, Israeli salad & tahini sauce 2. Croque Madame - Challah bread layered with melted Swiss, Canadian bacon and eggs 3. Mediterranean Crispy Dough - served with eggs and a side of shredded tomatoes, spicy harissa & pickles Great food and staff. Come here hungry and you won't be disappointed. read more

Miriam - Like come onnnn. Let the food speak for itself. - Wine Bars Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Love their brunch menu, generous portion and food is good! Always its my goto for my weekend brunch.

Wonderful food, great for vegans as well as meat eaters. The roasted Brussels sprouts are to die for!

I've been wanting to try this place forever and finally got to eat dinner here last night. It was a delicious meal and each of my plates were sparkling clean by the time they took them away. That pretty much speaks for itself. The food was very flavorful. The meze appetizers I particularly enjoyed were the bureka (it says burekas on the menu, making you think you'll get a few but it really was just the one) and the Jerusalem bread. They were served hot and fresh and were delicious. I think next time I might just order all mezes and make that my meal. For my main course I had the dorado which was one of the specials of the day. It was perfectly cooked and was served with truffle oil which smelled as good as it tasted. The best part about the meal was the bill at the end. It was very reasonable. The two of us had a bottle of wine (half off on Tuesdays), 4 meze appetizers, two main courses, a dessert and a cup of tea for about $70. Plus we had a restaurant.com certificate for $25 off which made it one of the cheapest dinners I've had in awhile. Beats cooking at home. Would love to come back and try their famous brunch next time. read more

Got here a little before 10am, but the server kindly let us in anyway. He was courteous and helpful, and my friend and I ended up choosing to share the Burekas, which were puff pastries with feta & olives. The sides were good; I really enjoyed the labneh cheese (kind of like sour cream, with a pool of olive oil in the middle) and the salad, which tasted very fresh. I liked the poached eggs and the home fries, but I felt like the brunch was mostly cold. The bureka pastry wasn't that warm ... o_o Service was good, though, and although I didn't leave feeling full, I DID share the meal with my friend. I definitely would've been full if I had eaten it by myself (: We also received a $5 off of brunch for our next visit. Sweet! read more

I will credit Miriam for changing my mind on middle eastern/mediterranean food. Where as perviously I was a hummus-averse, falafel hatin', shakshuka avoiding jive ass Brooklyner, Miriam has shown me that I should stop being such a picky eater and just shove this food in my face cause it's tasty. Seriously though, my friend dragged me here over and over because she loved it and slowly I went from ordering the normal croquet madam-type brunch fair to the burekas and shawarma. Everything is good here though, so even if you're picky like I tend to be you won't be disappointed. The hummus here genuinely taught me to like hummus... Ive tried and tried before and it was always sour and awful, where as at Miriam it's so creamy and mild in the best possible way. The brunch can get crowded but I haven't waited longer than 20 minutes at least... and once you're seated the service is swift but friendly. Anyhow, long story short, Miriam is great and you're missing out by not going. read more

I was never much of a brunch person, but Miriam made me a believer. Miriam doesn't take reservations for brunch, so either get there early or be prepared to wait. People vote with their feet and this place almost always has a wait on a weekend morning. If it's warm outside, it's worth waiting for one of their outdoor tables. Everything on the menu is good, but my favorite dish is the French toast. The halva is just so unique and puts it over the top. Also do yourself a favor and get a side of the merguez sausage. You really can't go wrong no matter what you order, though. read more

Came here on the day of the NYC marathon because it was close enough to the route that we could just jump out and cheer our friends on. We had an amazing spread here, everything was good. There's a 20 - 40 min wait for brunch. 10 - 4 pm. We arrived at 12:30. We were seated 20 minutes later at the communal table. The communal table seats about 13 - 14 tightly. The waiter was helpful and prompt. Of course I YELPED the place for what reviewers recommend we try. It seemed that the Mediterranean Crispy Dough, Shakshuka, Israli Breakfast, and the Challah French Toast. So we ordered all four of those dishes. My conclusion: DO NOT ORDER THE FRENCH TOAST. I've tasted better french toast Everything else is good. Each dish is $14.00. Expensive for brunch! read more

Love this place for brunch or wine happy hour, servers are cool and food is good, I don't recommend the meatballs only because they are small & can be dry, however my fav is the croissant sandwich with organic eggs bacon Swiss , Salad n awesome potatoes for brunch. Will not be back. Poor service and I'm so hungry! Food: Excellent Service: Average We returned for brunch after several months and the food was excellent. Service however was not so great. Unpleasant waitress, my glass of water was dirty, had disgusting leftover orange pulp. When I pointed it, I did not even get an apology. The food gets all the props but the hostess purple hair not nice. She gave a table she promised to us to another couple because I was outside. She refuse to take my husbands name and put another couple in front of us. Why do they think it's 54 degrees out and okay for people to eat outside. Horrible!! It's cold. I know we want the warm weather but forcing people to eat outside is not okay. read more

Came here on a pretty chill Easter/Passover weekend for brunch. They were able to seat us at the bar immediately. The service was excellent. They kept our coffees filled and were consistently checking on us, but not in an overbearing way. They were all very pleasant even though the restaurant was quite busy. I ordered the green shakshouka and liked the presentation immediately. The food itself was just okay. I hate to say it was bad because maybe I just ordered the wrong thing for myself? My friends enjoyed their food, but a star was lost over this dish. It wasn't horrible or anything, it just wasn't all that great! Kind of a disappointment. Either way, I would come back to give this place another chance if I'm in the area! read more

Love love LOVE! Came for brunch with a friend and didn't have to wait granted it was towards the early parts of brunch. I had the burekas which was a delicious blend of flavors and textures. The portions are very generous and the the plate components well seasoned. The environment is casual and the wait staff appropriately attentive. This is a new favorite and park slope is a great location. read more

Really amazing and authentic Israeli / Middle Eastern food. Been here a half dozen times and have had some mixed experiences with the service, but the food has been great each time. However, when the service was bad (waitress told us after a half hour they didn't have what we ordered and then after an hour forgot to put in one of our orders), the host rectified the situation with free bottles of wine and some flowers for the kids. For brunch get the shakshuka, challah french toast, or the sabich platter. For dinner DEFINITELY get the lamb shawarma and a side of the roasted cauliflower covered in tahini. For desert get the Halva Mousse, a truly unique and delicious middle eastern take on the classic halva bar. read more

Came here with my roommate. Food was delicious, drinks top notch. There was some live music as well, and it was just so lovely ambiance wise ! We will be back for sure !! read more

Food made me nauseous right after eating and couldn't sleep after. My guess is it's due to food being served warm-ish, not hot out of the oven. Ordered the fish and several appetizers. Seemed like food had been sitting out. Menu selections are interesting, but the execution of the dishes is lacking in flavor and proper timing. Second time visiting. First time was for brunch. I wasn't impressed by the brunch flavors, but the food was at least hot. Hard to get any water refills as staff is too busy chatting. I wouldn't have cared so much if the food was great and didn't make me nauseous. Won't be going back. read more

I had mixed feeling about Miriam. We ordered from them once and we were blown away by their food. The Chicken Shwarma dish was absolutely wonderful! A little bit on the pricer side, we decided to visit it during brunch the following weekend. A little bit disappointed by their overall food. We ordered the Omlete croissant sandwich and I couldn't finish it because it was so bland and dry. I would probably still try it since - it was during covid times and a lot of places have changed their chefs. read more

This brunch spot is hands down one of the best places to go to. Our wait time on a Sunday was 5-10 minutes which is fantastic considering busy hours! We got shakshuka (a must!!!), burekas (yummy stuff), cappuccino, mochaccino and side of crispy bacon (we love bacon). Shakshuka came with hummus and pita bread (amazing and fresh!), and perfectly poached eggs. I also asked for some hot salsa/sauce and they delivered beyond my expectations! I have no idea what that was but some kind of salsa-like side made from peppers, garlic and spices (ask for it if you love spicy food, you won't regret it!). Our drinks were good, and food came rather quickly from the kitchen! We will be back sooner than later! read more

We've been here a handful of times and have always loved it. Regardless of what we order, the food is always delicious. Miriam I will be back for you..! If your looking for a cute brunch spot with a little more eclectic menu offering, make this your choice. The Burekas were some of the best pastries I have ever eaten. Plus the Mediterranean salad and eggs, so the portions are pretty generous. Everyone's meals around me looked equally as delicious that it made it difficult to select the one thing to order. This is the only brunch place I keep going back to every time I visit my friends and family in Park Slope. The isreali breakfast with the lebnah, salad, home fries and warm pita hits the spot every time. I've never come here and received anything less than a perfectly appetizing plate of food exactly as I ordered it. I've also tried the potato cakes and those were delicious. My cousins say they've also ordered the croissant sandwich and shakshuka and both are delicious as well. The line can be pretty long but for me it's worth any wait. Looks like they now have a lot of outdoor seating so I'm excited to check it out for dine in. Everything came on time, correct order and kept well during delivery. It's clear this is a step up from the tons of Mediterranean take out places nearby. The ingredients were top notch. I went with the chicken shawarma and the Brussels sprouts, which were amazing with their chili glaze. My girlfriend went with the braised short rib which was extremely tender and very flavorful.
