They were not the cheapest bid (in the middle), but WAY below the highest bid, so overall, I would say their pricing is fair. Where they really stood out was quality, customer service, and design. The owner (Angel) did the install himself, and we was fantastic! Very thoughtful about how and where to place the lights, and most importantly, he was VERY thoughtful about how/where to place the underground wires (including a wiring diagram) - this is critical for the long-term care and maintenance of your system. He was careful about where to place wires, especially in high dig areas (flower beds, etc.). Also, they use high quality, solid brass fixtures from the industry's best provider (Kichler). I am SO glad we chose Texans Outdoor Lighting - they did a superb job at a fair price! The house looks beautiful at night! We highly recommend them! Also - Angel is totally honest and ethical! He pointed out that I had over calculated by $100 and would have overpaid - he corrected it! So trustworthy. He says what he will do and does what he says. The way business should be done. We would definitely use them again.

During the installation it rained on one of the days he was supposed to be there and even despite the weather issues was still able to complete the installation on time. He really tries to work around your schedule and meet the deadline agreed upon. Additionally, we agreed on a wiring configuration so wires near outdoor sconces on a pole would not show. He came up with an even better configuration that far surpassed my expectations. I am extremely impressed with the service, the quality of the pictures and will be going back to him when we expand our outdoor light. It's hard to find someone you can trust who will give you their honest opinion, charge a fair price, and quickly and professionally install. They even have a lifetime warranty on the fixtures. I am so glad I came across this company and highly recommend!

Major Key Shoutout…read moreto Matt and his team for making my vision become a reality with this covered pergola build. I played hard to get as I reached out to Matt back in March for a free estimate and he was able to come out the same week and talk through my vision. During this time, we did a walk of the back yard and discussed different design options. I told Matt that I had other contractors coming out (which was true) to provide estimates and that I would get back to him. During this time, Matt would check in and let me know that he would love to do business with me, which I appreciated. As an educator, April and May were chaotic due to STAAR testing... so, called Matt back out in May to do a recap and to let him know that he was number 1 choice. I informed Matt that I would finance and he told me about a company that he worked with to offer financing. Although I went through my own bank, everything worked out. Contract was sent out by Matt, I made it happen, and we decided on a date to get the project started. Day one of the project and Matt called to let me know that the crew would be coming to drop off supplies and the foreman would show up to start the framing. The crew and foreman showed up and work began. The foreman Martin was knowledgeable and talked with me about the design. The team worked diligently and rather quietly... forgot they were in the backyard on multiple occasions. Fast forward 3 or 4 days, and the entire project was complete. Matt and his team were professional, always in communication with me about the project, and eased my mind about the process/project. Since completion of the project, I've told several folks about MP Renovations and the quality of work they put into their projects.

They're also A+ rated by the BBB and for good reasons...professionalism, quality, and reasonable pricing. SCL had to redo our outdoor lighting and bring it up to industry standards. Five months ago, a company installed our lighting system which began to fail within 30 days. Each time the owner would come out and do something to rectify the problem. Not until the circuit breaker began tripping and shutting off immediately, did we call an electrician. (The guy who did the initial install buried a household extension cord over 100 feet and left the receptacle end and plugs to the transformer and lights in the open and rain.) We're happy our house didn't burn down. I can't recommend SCL enough. We are very satisfied with the excellent workers who came out and the quality of their work as well as neatness of the job.
