I wish our day had ended as good as it started. The lagoon itself was great, water was warm, and the attractions were open and not a long line. However as we went through the day we started to notice some yellow spots on our suits. My husband had bought a sun shirt during from the gift shop at the lagoon and by the end of the day it was covered in yellow streaks. We brought it up to our cabana server who said she had no idea; but the group next to us actually said they had the same thing happening to their suits as well. 4-5 of our clothing items have been stained and ruined unfortunately. We have tried everything to get them out including spray and wash, oxyclean soak overnight, etc. Bummed to have spent a pricey amount here to have brand new clothing items ruined.

Absolutely loved this place -- Miranda Lagoon is a total hidden gem! I don't write a ton of reviews, but I had such a great experience at Miranda Lagoon that I genuinely felt compelled to share. From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place had something special. It wasn't just another bar or lounge -- it had a vibe, an energy, a soul. And I loved every minute of it. First off, let's talk about the atmosphere -- because wow. The whole space is beautifully designed, with a relaxing yet lively vibe that strikes a perfect balance. It feels like a tropical getaway tucked right into the city. Whether you're coming with friends for a fun night out or just trying to unwind after a long day, the ambiance here works on every level. The lighting was perfect, the music set the tone without being too loud, and the seating was comfortable and spaced well so it never felt overcrowded. Now for the drinks -- hands down, some of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. You can tell that the bartenders at Miranda Lagoon actually care about what they're doing. These weren't rushed or watered-down drinks -- they were thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I tried the house specialty (I believe it was a passionfruit mojito or something along those lines?), and it was incredible. Fresh, fruity, just the right amount of sweetness, and super refreshing. I ended up ordering a second, then sampling a friend's drink -- and yep, that one was amazing too. You really can't go wrong here. Service was another big highlight. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Our server was attentive without hovering and made great recommendations, which really added to the overall experience. One of the things I appreciate most about Miranda Lagoon is how it makes you want to stay awhile. There's no rush, no pressure -- just good vibes, great drinks, and an atmosphere that feels like a mini escape from the outside world. Whether you're there for a date night, a girls' night out, or just to treat yourself, it's the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. I will 100% be returning -- and bringing more friends next time. Miranda Lagoon is the kind of spot that makes you want to become a regular. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven't yet. Trust me, you won't regret it.

The Mirada Lagoon is a great place for families. Nice alternative to beaches especially for those who live or are visiting further inland. The Lagoon boasts an assortment of activities including an obstacle course and paddle boarding. Theres no shortage of food and drink options also! Highly recommended!!!

Decided to drive to this place from Orlando after hearing good reviews about it. The drive was about 1:30 but so worth it. The "lagoon" is one of the biggest pools I've ever seen. The floating obstacle course is awesome. They have kayaks and paddle boards for your use as well. The food was not bad and the drinks were tasty as well. The have a private area with cabanas and floating cabanas that were pretty cool looking.

Lagoons are the newest neighborhood feature in up and coming new build developments. There is a brand new one open, just a couple months ago, in San Antonio, FL at the Mirada development. Just some background for you- My kids bought a home in 2022, that they were supposed to be in by December 2021- delayed till May 2022. This is relevant because the lagoon was promised and delayed over and over for years. The residents who bought early just got to pay the high "lagoon" HOA fees with no lagoon. There is an adjacent neighborhood to the south with their lagoon- same builder, so owners could utilize that location of a small fee. I have been to the Epperson Lagoon as well. New and shiny. Residents are paying dues for the lagoon, so no entry fee is required at the gate, but they only have a separate resident line on the weekends, but weekdays usually only have one person ticketing and one line for everyone. Yes- it's open to the public for a fee, All Day Pass: $20 - $45 or Late Day Pass: $15 - $40 (Prices vary by week date and are subject to change. Late Day passes grant access to the Lagoon after 3pm only.) There are tons of add-on fees: Water Obstacle Course $5-$7, Kayak $5-$7, Stand Up Paddle Board $5-$7, Splash Pass $12-$14 (all the water activities listed before for a lower price). Amenities:Aquabana $229-$279, Premium Cabana $129 - $229, Adults only Cabana $159 - $229, Adult only Premium Loungers with Umbrella $40 - $50, Beach Day Bed $40 - $50, Beach Loungers with Umbrella $30 - $50, Tiki Cove $50 - $200, Beach Mini Tiki $50 - $120, Island Mini Tiki $60 - $130, Island Pavilion $80-$250 There is also a lagoon shop, bar & various food trucks on the weekends. The shallow, kids section had such a rough (non-slip) surface that toddler's feet were getting cut up! I even commented on how rough it was. Apparently more use is slowly wearing down the roughness. If you live there, I gather weekdays are better and getting there when they open. Weekends can fill up fast! And.... Right now the view is pleasant beyond the lagoon, but construction will eventually be an ongoing eye sore (as I have witnessed at the Epperson Lagoon neighboring)- houses and townhomes will be built around the lagoon. It's a cool feature- pun intended, but I don't know if the fees are worth it for the general public.

What's great day at the Mirada Lagoon! Definitely a great option for an all day pass in the area. The water is really cold in the man made lagoon but you get used to it. Weekday prices are different than weekend prices. And discounted tickets are online so prepay is a must. Lunch options are limited to chicken tenders, hamburgers, hot dog and pizza. Overall so much fun in the sun. Look forward to going back soon.

Overall we had a good time. We went on a Friday and it was not over crowded. I was able to get 1 ticket on Groupon but had to purchase the rest on the website because they "maxed out" I guess on Groupon. Although there was not a lot of ppl the line was so long because they had 1 person doing tickets and checking bags. The water is soooo cold so although very pretty you couldn't really enjoy. You don't have to get chair rentals there's room to sit w/o paying. The food was pretty good the kids meals were pretty big. Bummer you can't bring your own cooler w/snacks it all starts adding up. Would I go back, sure if they had another Groupon w discounted prices.

I've lived here for 7 years and have watched this community evolve--unfortunately, not always for…read morethe better. While there have been some positives, the overall direction, especially in recent years, has been disappointing. The biggest issue is a clear decline in customer experience. The Metro Development Group management team seems to have lost sight of what made this place successful in the first place: its residents. The very people who built the Lagoon's reputation are now being treated like an afterthought. One example is the entry process. Residents used to have a dedicated entry and bag check, which made sense and showed value for membership. That has slowly been phased out, leaving members stuck in long general admission lines. For a paid membership experience, that's simply unacceptable. Even more frustrating is the constant rollout of new systems that feel unfinished. Instead of leveraging existing member data, residents are repeatedly forced to re-register as if they're brand new. This creates unnecessary confusion--for both members and staff--and leads to avoidable issues. This past weekend, I watched a longtime "legacy member" family of five get told only the father existed in the system. The rest of the family had been removed and would need to enter as guests. That's not just inconvenient--it's embarrassing and unacceptable for a venue of this caliber. I had a similar experience myself. I used my membership card to check in and purchase a drink with no issue. Less than an hour later, the same card suddenly "didn't exist" in the system. I was forced to go through the entire setup process again. There's clearly a lack of consistency and reliability in their system. At this point, it feels like this location is being used as a testing ground for new processes rather than being properly managed. If that's the case, there's little evidence that feedback is being implemented or that improvements are being made for this community. Metro needs leadership with real hospitality experience--someone who understands how to run a high-quality, member-focused venue and deliver a consistent experience. If management is reading this: please remember what made this Lagoon successful. Invest in your residents, fix the systems, and bring back the level of service this community deserves. This was the first Lagoon in the U.S.--it should be one of the best, not one of the most frustrating.

Welcome to Weeki Wachee Springs... home of one of the Sunshine State's original roadside attractions. (second maybe only to orange juice stands). If you love clear water, gentle humor, fun costumes, old Florida, a little razzle dazzle and a whole lot of bubbles, you'll get a kick out of the mermaid shows. The mermaids have their own theater and the kids aren't the only ones who get sucked into the fairy tale. The vibes are so laid back, you could be lulled into forgetting how hard these underwater moves are. They make it look easy-but there's some serious athleticism and training, behind all of the underwater fun... and they do it all... while wearing tails! (like Ginger Rogers keeping up with Fred Astaire-but backwards and in high heels) The mermaid show is adjacent to the water park. They share a parking lot and a ticket window. You could make a day out of it. There's a cute gift shop... and random peacocks wandering around... plus photo ops with the mermaids. I love the history of this place-they do a good job sharing it at the show. I'll let them tell you. The show is part of Weeki Wachee State Park. When i went (March 2026), it was $13 for adults-I think $8 for kids and I believe the youngest ones get in free. The water park and paddle boarding are extra but the admission covers the mermaids and I think the river cruise is included. The mermaid shows run a few times a day-and seats fill up quickly, so get there about 30 minutes early on busier days (summer and weekends). It's so Florida-you've gotta go! Have fun!

Otherwise, give it a miss. Admission is $13 ea a little less for kids. 4 of us cost about $42 for entrance fees. They have a water slide that was not operating. They have a small "nature " walk. They have a boat that was not running to look at nature and they have a 30 minute animal encounter educational experience with a ranger. Walking around they have photo ops to look like a mermaid and after the show you have a chance to photograph yourself with a live mermaid from the show. If you have $50- $100 your kid can have a "mermaid makeover". We were at the park for maybe 1.5 hours. I suppose if the boat was running and the water slide was operating one could spend up to 3 hours. It was an interesting experience. Once is enough.

Had a slightly traumatic experience today. My 7 year old got stuck (for 5 to 10 minutes) in the big slide which is pitch dark all the way through (fun but not when you get stuck) and he wasn't helped promptly. Full story - I was up there at the slide entrance and i could hear him screaming that he needs help. There was a staff up there (looked like a teenage kid) who had a walkie talkie. I assumed he would have informed the people in charge as soon as he got stuck. I kept talking to my son to lie down and try to push himself down and he kept responding saying he's trying everything but is still stuck and it is getting very uncomfortable. After a while I checked with the staff whether someone is coming to help. And then I see him telling on the walkie talkie "the boy is stuck on the slide can someone help?". I was shocked. It must have been a good 5 minutes (no watch, just guessing) and he just thought of informing?! By the time someone could come, my son finally managed to push himself down. I told the guy "you should have informed quicker" and his response was "talk to my manager". I thought "ok no use talking to the teenage kid he probably wasn't trained how to react in these situations". I went to the manager and told her "please train your staff to inform quicker" her response "he probably was sitting down, we cannot do anything about this" i go "No he was lying down this time.. first time he was sitting, but this time he was lying" she repeats "he probably was sitting; we don't promise how long it takes to slide; you eventually get down and that's what matters". Is this an empathetic response? I mean i get you have to stick to boiler plate legal language at times, but im not trying to sue anyone here. Im just looking for "i understand that must have felt scary, ill talk to my staff on acting quicker". I felt like I was talking to a robot both with the teenage staff and with the manager. Anyway, my husband intervened and helped the communication and both the manager and the teenage staff eventually apologized and i really appreciated it. Takeaway - If you're not staying in Holiday Inn, NorthShore Aquatic Center might be as fun for a fraction of the cost If you're staying in Holiday Inn, avoid the blue slide or go shirtless (another staff pointed out that might have helped) I see other reviews as well about untrained and disengaged teenage staff.
