I definitely don't love that this place taxes you for every thing! It's a cool concept but I don't like that they're even so strict about what you bring in. Their food options are obselete (one food truck?). I'm somebody who only likes to drink ice cold water so the fact that I can't even bring my own cup in is a bummer.

I went early October for a kids birthday celebration. This is a great place for kids and families, but you are nickel and dime for everything except parking. You are not allowed to bring anything you would typically bring to the beach picnic or pool even . You are allowed a water bottle that's closed empty Stanley's or containers no alcoholic beverages no speakers . The staff is kind, but it seems they are all young, which would make sense if they are from the neighborhood this lagoon is located in . There were enough lifeguards, and they seem to run things efficiently after witnessing an incident But you have to pay for drinks food for the water sports... If you are a residence, everything's a lot cheaper . we did run into a mishap when we were sold kayaking tickets and we walked all the way to the kayaking area to launch which is a good four minute walk they told us they were no longer launching at 5 o'clock on the Internet. It says 630 is when water sports stops and because the individual did not have a walkie-talkie, he instructed us to go find his boss with no description, but only a name to verify it was OK for us to launch at 5 o'clock though on the Internet it states 6:30 PM. Once we found the individual she was kind and she allowed us to kayak. We had to walk all the way back over across the lagoon to launch. I think they need better communication and more consistency in their rules and also better judgment. This place was not crowded. A small pizza was like $15, the fries were good for someone who is not the most enthused about french fries .

We had an issue with our digital tickets but Becky the manager took care of us and was very helpful and kind. What a fun spot you get to grab a chair and relax with a huge pool to enjoy and they have bumper boats, stand up paddle board, kayaks, a big slide, and obstacle course to play on for only $12 upgrade from the $30 price. There's a full bar that's a swim up bar and had a couple satellite bars around. They also have a quick service spot to eat at. It got really busy around 1230 or so. Plan to get there earlier if you can to grab a chair.

This was a really fun place to cool off from the Florida sun. My family(3) got entry, and an all day splash pas for under $100 via Groupon. The splash pass benefits are: * Access to the obstacle course. * Paddle boarding. * Kayaking. * Water Slides. * Bumper Boats. Note: If you want to do these activities, there are charges per activity; without the Splash Pass. The facility, is well kept, clean and it is HUGE! No matter where you are at in the pools, you are not surrounded by people. They have cabanas for rent for $200 dollars, seems like a waste of money, but you don't a waste time going to the ER with heat stroke. Ps..they sell out fast. We got there early before they opened, because we didn't know what to expect and we are glad we went during the morning, the afternoon crowed comes in a pack around 2:30pm, but no worries there are LIMITED passes they sell for entry. All-in-all, I will be DEFINITELY coming back!! #ReallySurprised

We bought tickets on group on. The climbing structure is not the same as the picture. But overall it was a fun day. The group on was worth it but I wouldn't pay the full price to go there. It's a big pool with some climbing structures and paddle boards/kayaks. You Can't bring anything food related or drink in. But you can leave and return. There's a Publix and chick filet close by. The food and drinks are expensive and it's card only! We brought an umbrella, floats, lots of sunblock and noodles! The bumper boats were fun but it's a small area.

We took our family here while on vacation in Florida, and it was a great way to break up our beach-heavy trip. We found a Groupon deal and paid $202 for a family of five, which included admission and splash passes. The splash pass gave us access to the water park, water slide, bumper boats, kayaks, and paddle boards--we tried it all and had a blast! We arrived right when they opened and were able to grab lounge chairs in the shade, which was perfect. They also offer water cabanas, regular cabanas, and chairs with umbrellas if you want to rent them. The pool is massive and beautiful--definitely a highlight. We grabbed lunch at their on-site "restaurant," which was more like a concession stand with typical overpriced food. Nothing special, but it did the job. Bottom line: My kids had a great time and gave it a big thumbs up. I'm not sure if we'd go again, but if they asked to, I'd definitely consider it.

Pretty cool place we came from Orlando to check it out after we heard good things about it!! The weather was a tad chilly but I imagine it getting warmer in the summer. They have all different kinds of fun activities from the bumper boats to stand up paddle-boards!! A must go

This fun swimming pool is amazing! With a lot of extra activities from a giant water slide to kayaks, paddle boards, jumping floats, to a swim up bar with awesome drinks. There's also a food area and cabana rentals! I've been here a few times and it's always a blast! I brought a bus load of kids and they've had a blast! Highly recommend.

I had a decent time going for the first time with a group of friends, no kids. We bought our tickets online the day before and went on a Saturday morning. The parking lot was getting full so it's better to go early especially on the weekend during the summer. We purchased the splash pass to include kayaking, paddle boarding, and bumper boats. We also purchased a mini tiki lounge. Overall, the park appeared to be clean. Bathrooms were also decent. We bought food and drinks in the park. Food was just regular mediocre meals like chicken tenders, nachos, pizza, and burgers. We got drinks from the swim up bar and they were strong which was great. It's a cool experience to do and try out if you are in the area.

We left after two hours despite paying for the day and went to a real resort instead. Total waste!!! Please save yourself the aggravation. Pros: it looks pretty from a distance. Cons: Filthy water- The water looks beautiful but is FILTHY. Dead bugs everywhere in the pool, debris from the ground, sunscreen and god knows what else was coagulated on the waters surface. My sunscreen turned green- yes GREEN from whatever they put in that water! Parking- Sucks! Parked on some makeshift rock parking lot because they didn't have enough parking. Nowhere to change- Yes, you heard me! It's a resort style lagoon(yeah right!) with nowhere to change! We asked where the locker room was and a worker (an adult man mind you not a kid) looked at us like we were crazy to even ask that and responded arrogantly that they don't provide that. He directed me to get changed in a bathroom stall. Wth?!! No lockers- Asked about a place to secure my belongings (locker etc) Again, the employee looked at me like I was an idiot and said "We don't do that here" ????? What kind of nonsense is that?! So I hiked back to my car parked on another planet and then hiked back to the facility. The "Lagoon" aka Adult Kiddie Pool- we stepped into the Lagoon of Filth and immediately realized we were sold admission to a small strip of water that goes along the side of the lagoon with no access to swim in the vast part where the water actually had depth! It's was crowded with people in water that was maybe 3 feet! People were kneeling to try to stay covered by their dirt water. It honestly looked like kiddie pool for adults and we could help but laugh at how ridiculous the situation was. Bathrooms of horror- After our horrible couple of hours, we went to get changed in the bathroom like we were directed. Omg! Nowhere to put your things but on a filthy floor. The bathrooms smelled like pure diarrhea from the bowels of hell! Toilet paper was thrown all over the floors, empty food containers in the stalls (who is eating on a bathroom?!) Spiders and bugs everywhere- you get the picture. Took off my swimsuit to find dead bugs stuck all over my body and my sunscreen had turned green in their pool. As O attempted to changeover a filthy toilet, I could hear everyone in there complaining about how disgusting the place was and how shocked they were that they were not provided with anywhere to get changed. This place is the perfect example of misleading marketing. They built it as a luxury experience, but it is anything but. Common courtesy is nonexistent here. Don't expect to get a lounge chair with an umbrella because they are "sold out" within the first hour. Talk about being completely unprepared to deal with customers coming to location. Pretty much everyone was complaining in the pool about how filthy it was and how they had no idea that they were going to be restricted to a tiny shallow portion of the pool. You are better off using your own pool at home or the pool in your resort then driving over here and using this place to cool down. Many of the people there were residence and were all complaining about how dirty the facility was and that there is only one place to swim for so many developments and homes. To head insult to injury, I was sent a survey after leaving to learn more about my experience. I quickly provided feedback which was a limited space to provide feedback in. Once I sent it, I was emailed a coupon for 15% off. It was completely tone deaf. It was an auto generated email. I clearly stated that I will never come back there again or recommend the place to anyone and there has been zero follow up. You would think that somebody would be calling to discuss these concerns as they were evident of health code violations. No, no call yet! Go get your own risk and try to enjoy your dirty kiddie pool experience! Once was enough for me!

I would highly recommend bringing swimsuits and all your water stuff if you decide to come here, because the playground part is quite small and in the same area as the splash pad. Had a slightly traumatic experience today. My 7 year old got stuck (for 5 to 10 minutes) in the big slide which is pitch dark all the way through (fun but not when you get stuck) and he wasn't helped promptly. Full story - I was up there at the slide entrance and i could hear him screaming that he needs help. There was a staff up there (looked like a teenage kid) who had a walkie talkie. I assumed he would have informed the people in charge as soon as he got stuck. I kept talking to my son to lie down and try to push himself down and he kept responding saying he's trying everything but is still stuck and it is getting very uncomfortable. After a while I checked with the staff whether someone is coming to help. And then I see him telling on the walkie talkie "the boy is stuck on the slide can someone help?". I was shocked. It must have been a good 5 minutes (no watch, just guessing) and he just thought of informing?! By the time someone could come, my son finally managed to push himself down. I told the guy "you should have informed quicker" and his response was "talk to my manager". I thought "ok no use talking to the teenage kid he probably wasn't trained how to react in these situations". I went to the manager and told her "please train your staff to inform quicker" her response "he probably was sitting down, we cannot do anything about this" i go "No he was lying down this time.. first time he was sitting, but this time he was lying" she repeats "he probably was sitting; we don't promise how long it takes to slide; you eventually get down and that's what matters". Is this an empathetic response? I mean i get you have to stick to boiler plate legal language at times, but im not trying to sue anyone here. Im just looking for "i understand that must have felt scary, ill talk to my staff on acting quicker". I felt like I was talking to a robot both with the teenage staff and with the manager. Anyway, my husband intervened and helped the communication and both the manager and the teenage staff eventually apologized and i really appreciated it. Takeaway - If you're not staying in Holiday Inn, NorthShore Aquatic Center might be as fun for a fraction of the cost If you're staying in Holiday Inn, avoid the blue slide or go shirtless (another staff pointed out that might have helped) I see other reviews as well about untrained and disengaged teenage staff. Should have read before I visited!
