It was not a complete kitchen…read moreremodel - I had my walls/cabinets painted, replaced the countertop/sink, and added a backsplash. I am mostly happy with the overall result of the project, and the cost was more affordable than other businesses with whom I discussed the project. However, I will say the process to get to the final result could have been much smoother. NSKB's communication was lacking. From the beginning of the process when I was working with the designer to pick out finishes, I would have to reach out myself whenever I wanted an update because I would go weeks (sometimes over a month) without getting any information. When I did reach out, I usually had to follow up multiple times before I finally got an email back. I was told a start date for my project, and then when I reached out with a question later the designer mentioned a different date. The change had not been run by me or communicated to me. Had I not reached out myself, I wouldn't have known until they showed up that morning to start. The painters had to come back multiple times for touch ups after finishing the initial job. They got paint on my under-cabinet lighting and hardware because they didn't tape around or remove them; they just painted around things. Paint was spilled on my floors and the NSKB team was able to clean it up a majority of the way, but there is a permanent spot that is darker than the rest of my floor. The team also lost two pieces from hinges and were not able to hang the last cabinet door. It took NSKB almost 2 months to come back and find a solution after I followed up with them multiple times. Overall, the project that was supposed to be completed in early December ended up taking until the end of January.

Kevin (Design Consultant) was very attentive and listened carefully to our needs, providing different options for our review and discussion. His priority was to deliver what we wanted in our kitchen update. He guided us through the entire selection process and always gave us his input when we asked and made adjustments along the journey based on our feedback. He took the time to provide us numerous estimated costs for different options and actually in the end, they were under budget. Kevin and his installation team (headed by David) was very professional and detail oriented and it showed in the quality of their work. We were impressed with their exceptional craftsmanship with cabinet door, sink, hardware and painting installation. In addition, they left our home spotless after every visit from the first day through the last day of the project installation. In fact, there was a minor flaw in one of the cabinet doors and they installed it, but informed us immediately they ordered a new door to be re-installed upon arrival to their showroom. Their customer service was wonderful. Kevin and David stayed on their timeline through the entire journey, beginning to end. They were well worn and used (water stains, some insect damage). We also had an oak kitchen table and chairs (about 30 years old) that had been "through the wars" of family life and looked it. I went around to a couple of places to get a quote and happened upon Greg's shop by chance. And so very pleased I did, as this local business is committed to first class service and work. Greg came to our home and provided a fair assessment of how long the work would take and an estimated price that was about 20% less than other quotes. He picked up the pieces and six weeks later - right on time - brought us in to choose stains for the now sanded and primed pieces. And a little over a month later -ahead of schedule - was able to return absolutely beautifully restored tables and chairs. They quite literally look as good as the day they were purchased.
