This would have also required us to buy a sink. We called a local business and got the price of their highest priced laminate. Then we called Miracle Method. They were able to refinish the badly stained sink as well as the countertop all with the same finish. All we had to do was have the fixtures removed. We saved money even though we had to hire a plumber to remove and then install fixtures. Project was completed in 2 days. Refinisher protected painted surfaces and caused no damage. Showroom has a large variety of completed projects as well as samples of finishes. Even though we lived about 50 miles away, it was well worth the trip and was our deciding factor in choosing this business. Make sure you google Miracle Method of Milwaukee as each franchise is independently owned. I got some negative reviews in other areas of the country. I had gotten the table used, at a good price and it was finally time to try to get the finish back. I did my homework reading reviews and asking others for recommendations for a furniture refinisher. The name that kept coming up was Greg's Refinishing. So I called. Greg is great to work with, he worked around my schedule to find a time to come and look at the table. He gave me a reasonable price for the process he explained would be needed for the table. Hearing that he and another employee would come to my home to pick up the table , sealed the deal for me to trust him with this job. They picked up the table, after sanding it down I was asked to come and look at it before Tom started putting the finishing coats on it. I appreciated be asked to do that. The table is absolutely beautiful! I am so grateful for the care put into my table, the easy communication with Greg and the customer service of he and his team. I am very pleased. I even had Greg's upholsterer redo the cushions on my 4 chairs. I had the fabric and decided I could recover them myself. They were able to quote me a price based on photos. I dropped off the chest, and they were accurate on when it would be ready. I was out of town for work, so they held it for a few days. It was great then and has stood the test of time. Fast forward to the modern era. One of the file cabinets was inhabited by a ghost and would randomly slide open.
