Their design choices were perfect and always exactly what we were looking for. Bruce was extremely helpful and involved with our basement project throughout the whole process. He took the time to ensure that every aspect of the project, from the layout to the finishing touches, was carefully planned and executed. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality of the work and the outcome of the project. Beth did a phenomenal job cleaning every square inch of our basement. I was so impressed with her attention to detail. The carpenter who worked on our basement was always respectful and diligent while working. He did a fantastic job with everything he worked on. From the painters, to floor insulation, plumbing, and drywall insulators who entered our home; everyone was always so respectful and impressive. We have nothing but great things to say about everyone who helped work on our dream basement! With Gabor's dedication and commitment, our basement turned out exactly as we envisioned it. We highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a reliable and detail-oriented professional for their home projects.

He went above and beyond and came in on schedule and budget with extremely high quality which is not easy for remodelers given supply chain shortages. Most importantly, communication was top notch. Between my wife and I we have built 3 homes and had 4 major remodels so we knew what to expect and Gabor exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend and trust Gabor. p.s. Full disclosure - we are not related to or acquainted with anyone who works at Gabor.

They refused to fix it. We struggled to find a company that would repair windows. We called the builder of our house to see if they had a recommendation for us. They recommended that we see if Bliffert would be willing to help us out, as Bliffert is the current company that they work with for windows. We were pleasantly surprised that Bliffert agreed to repair the window if we found & purchased the parts. I appreciate the work that Bliffert did for us tremendously. No one else was willing to do the work, but Bliffert was, and they were such an easy company to work with. Thank you so much. We'll be sure to reach out to Bliffert down the road when we need to replace windows, and will recommend the company when asked for a referral.

North Shore Kitchen & Bath completed my kitchen project recently. It was not a complete kitchen…read moreremodel - I had my walls/cabinets painted, replaced the countertop/sink, and added a backsplash. I am mostly happy with the overall result of the project, and the cost was more affordable than other businesses with whom I discussed the project. However, I will say the process to get to the final result could have been much smoother. NSKB's communication was lacking. From the beginning of the process when I was working with the designer to pick out finishes, I would have to reach out myself whenever I wanted an update because I would go weeks (sometimes over a month) without getting any information. When I did reach out, I usually had to follow up multiple times before I finally got an email back. I was told a start date for my project, and then when I reached out with a question later the designer mentioned a different date. The change had not been run by me or communicated to me. Had I not reached out myself, I wouldn't have known until they showed up that morning to start. The painters had to come back multiple times for touch ups after finishing the initial job. They got paint on my under-cabinet lighting and hardware because they didn't tape around or remove them; they just painted around things. Paint was spilled on my floors and the NSKB team was able to clean it up a majority of the way, but there is a permanent spot that is darker than the rest of my floor. The team also lost two pieces from hinges and were not able to hang the last cabinet door. It took NSKB almost 2 months to come back and find a solution after I followed up with them multiple times. Overall, the project that was supposed to be completed in early December ended up taking until the end of January.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! I…read morewalked in excited to choose flooring for my first home and walked out wondering why customers are ready to spend thousands of dollars to be treated like an inconvenience. Thanks, Dennis. I walked in on Tuesday as a young solo female shopper looking to purchase flooring for my entire first home. I had done extensive research beforehand and was planning on replacing all of my flooring through Carpet City. I am a first time home buyer and was already anxious enough. Upon walking in, I was not greeted. I saw four employees sitting at their desks with their heads down at their computers and none of them acknowledged me. I walked around the entire showroom before eventually having to approach someone myself for assistance. When I went up to an associate named Dennis, he held up his finger and said "one second" without looking up. Once he was ready, I asked if I was in the section for pet-resistant carpet. His response was, "All of our carpets are pet friendly." I clarified that I was specifically asking about carpet that is more resistant to pet wear and accidents. Many manufacturers offer carpets designed for homes with pets, for example carpets made with solution-dyed nylon or triexta fibers, moisture-resistant backing, and stain-repellent treatments that help prevent urine and odors from penetrating the padding. I'm just looking for a more hydrophobic carpet. Dennis immediately told me that what I was describing "doesn't exist" and said, "whoever told you that is lying to you." That response was surprising, considering most major flooring brands openly market pet-resistant and pet-protect carpet systems that are specifically designed to resist stains, moisture penetration, and odor retention. I wasn't asking an unreasonable question, just looking for guidance on which products in their showroom fit that category. Interestingly, most major flooring manufacturers openly market pet-protect carpet systems that use solution-dyed fibers, stain-blocking technology, and moisture-resistant backing designed to prevent pet urine and odors from penetrating the carpet and padding, which is exactly what I was trying to ask about. Dennis came off very misogynistic. ADDITIONALLY, while I was in the showroom, on the phone talking to my fiance, he walked over to one of his co-workers and started to talk about me and make fun of me. I don't think he realized I had walked back in. I was going to try to talk to him again, but overhearing him make fun of me was the last straw. The tone and delivery felt very dismissive and patronizing. As someone walking in ready to spend a significant amount of money replacing flooring throughout my home, the interaction left me feeling unwelcome and talked down to. You all just lost a big sale. I hope someone in management reads this and changes their approach drastically. This is no longer a man's world. Please do not judge your clients. Hopefully management provides better product training and customer service standards in the future, because the experience I had certainly didn't reflect a business that values either.
