e hired Reality Construction to remodel our 1960 era kitchen. we wanted a complete overhaul with walls being removed, all new cabinets, new flooring, new counter tops, new appliances, and a new laundry/mud room. we had 6 contractors come in and give us estimates. 2 of the companies made us go to their showrooms and sit through their sales pitch. they gave us estimates without ever even coming to our house. we eliminated those 2 right away. from the start Mike and Gina impressed us with their knowledge of this type of project. Mike was the only proposal that included compete removal of all existing walls so that the new electric and plumbing would go in without issue and to make sure any old issues in the walls would be addressed. he provided all new insulation and vapor barrier. Mike has been using the same tradesmen for years, and they were all friendly, prompt, and skilled. these guys obviously knew and worked with each other before, making the work a lot smoother. another good thing about Reality Construction is that you sign a contract for a set price and after that there are no surprises or added costs. they were the only contractor that offered that. the job was scheduled for 12 weeks and even with the large scale of the work and with the coronavirus we were done on time. the final product was exactly as we wanted it and equally important the quality of the work was first rate. we worried about sloppy drywall or bad trim work or bad messy tile work but none of that happened. having those skilled guys doing the work paid off. what REALITY CONTRUCTION PROMISED THEY DELIVERED. if you want quality work at a fair price we highly recommend them. if it's one thing we learned after 3 months of construction it's hire a company that does quality work, doesn't cut corners, doesn't spring surprises on you and that you feel comfortable working with. read more

We had a ~1700 sq ft. basement that was partially finished. Mike's team demolished it to the concrete walls/floor, added a full bath, egress window, wet bar w/ island, bedroom w/ walk-in closet, hallway closet, storage room, utility room, natural gas generator, replaced electrical panel, and moved two sewer stacks in to the walls to open the floor plan. We had low ceilings to begin with and Mike took it upon himself to have his team raise our duct work as close as we good to the ceiling to give us a couple more inches. He continually pointed out a lot of things (questions for us to answer - w/ recommendations) as we went through the process. We heard from him or his team very frequently - providing us updates along the way. He wasn't the cheapest bid we got, nor was he the most expensive. We did appreciate that they walked us through the options to choose, and would provide recommendations (cabinets, door/trim type/color, counter-tops, bathroom/kitchen fixtures, etc). That process could have been overwhelming but they made it a breeze. Mike kept the project moving really fast until we asked to pause for a potential water issue. Once we resolved that, Mike's team finished quickly. We were very satisfied and would choose them again. read more

Reality Construction LLC did a wonderful job finishing our entire basement. The process went way better than expected and my husband and I were blown away with how everything turned out! Mike and Gina were extremely easy to work with and they were both very responsive. When Gina came out for the initial consultation, she took measurements and gave us a rough estimate of the job. Mike and Gina both came out a second time and after looking at the basement and the layout, Mike gave us a few suggestions about changing the layout and we couldn't have been happier with the final layout and project. We chose Mike & Gina and team at Reality Construction for extensive home renovations. They finished our basement including a wet bar, fireplace, shelving and powder room, renovated our master bath, an upstairs full bath, and completely redid our kitchen/powder room/laundry room area on our main level. We did it in sequence and it basically took a year almost to the day. Mike & Gina were professional, personable, flexible and a pleasure to deal with throughout these projects. As one should expect, they were hands on and available in an instant anytime questions arose. I can't tell you how much we valued the communication aspect! It was important to us from the start and they knocked it out of the park. Scheduling of work was prompt and accurate and the labor they use is top notch! Inevitably things came up that needed to be addressed and they were: promptly and appropriately. Finally, the estimates were firm and there was no nickel and diming. I had gotten three bids for my basement remodel job and Mike was the one rooted in "reality" with his bid. He gave me the price and that's what I paid except for a couple of change orders which we were expecting. I have heard so many horror stories about remodel jobs gone wrong because of a bad general contractor. I was prepared to have similar issues with mine, but found just the opposite. Mike knows the business, knows how much things are going to cost, and knows how things all fit together. If he doesn't, he calls in other professionals and presents the facts back. While my basement wasn't how I had envisioned it with a curved staircase, the end result gave me the feeling I wanted without the engineering nightmare and significant added cost. Mike addressed my queries promptly and if things didn't look right, Mike came out and addressed the issues. We initially contacted Mike and Gina to remodel three bathrooms (master, kids, and powder room). After experiencing their wonderful work, which included constant communication, trusted advice, creative design ideas, and "as promised" finished results, we asked them to also finish our basement, which included adding another bathroom. True to form, Mike and Gina created our vision on time, to standard and at the initially quoted price. While we had not planned on continuing the remodeling adventure so soon, we were so pleased with the bathrooms and the basement that we requested them to also remodel our kitchen. This included removing walls, shifting plumbing, etc. Again, we were thrilled with results. We are only sad there is nothing left for them to work on!!! I had the pleasure of working with Reality Construction to finish my basement. I added a full bathroom, bar area, and my must have fireplace. I also remodeled a bathroom on the main level. The owners met with me on several occasions before the start of the projects to make sure we had all the main details covered.
