Well, turns out they were recently bought out by a private equity firm. Their salesman came out, took a look around the basement, and wrote up a quote for a $16,000 drain tile repair. He was very professional and took time to explain the quote to me. The only problem was that I then had an independent drain tile inspector come out a few days later and tell me there was no sign whatsoever that I had a drain tile issue. He told me it was clear the water came in through the windows, and that I should repair the drainage in the window well and replace the windows for a fraction of the price. It's a good thing I knew better than to drop the $2000 down payment Accurate's salesman requested at the end of his visit, but it is too bad to think other's may fall for their sales pitch. We had previously heard that Accurate was upfront and honest in their dealings with customers, but since they have been bought out, it seems that making the sale has become priority #1.

Lined up timely date since we needed to close soon. Did great job. Buyer asked weird questions about some legacy supports asked by overzealous inspector. They came out no charge, analyzed and gave letterhead explanation of why these were not part of house support...mis-understood by buyers inspector. Not part of their original work but no charge....and also done very timely. So straight with us...and good work.

The initial meeting went well, so on July 7, 2026, at 8:08 a.m., I called to request a quote for some additional work. An appointment was scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. When no one arrived, I called the office at 11:28 a.m. and was told there had been an emergency call and that no one would be coming out that day. While emergencies happen, no one contacted me to let me know that no one would be showing up. We rescheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the second appointment went much the same way. At 3:11 p.m., after no one had arrived, I called the office and was told he was likely on his way from another job site. By 3:38 p.m., I called again because no one had shown up, and the office said they would check on his whereabouts. At 3:41 p.m., I received a return call informing me that he "thought it was tomorrow." At that point, I decided to move forward with another contractor. What disappointed me most wasn't that appointments had to be rescheduled or that someone was running late--it was the complete lack of communication. A phone call or text to let me know about the delay or scheduling issue would have gone a long way and would have demonstrated respect for my time. On a positive note, Verette Construction does offer a veteran discount. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much if they can't consistently show up for scheduled appointments or communicate with their customers. I've decided to try Badger Basement Systems instead and hope the experience is more professional.

One of the best was from Mudjackers but as important was the unsolicited recommendation of the engineer who inspected and wrote up the plans (and secured permits) for our house. It all couldn't have gone any better. These guys were timely, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, etc. From the actual digging and piering that was done to the follow up (the following spring) with adding top soil and grass seed. Easy to deal with, helpful at every turn, etc. If you have to spend $20K-$40K on this painful and otherwise undesired house fix, you want it to be as friendly and professionally done as these guys do their thing. I hope you don't have your foundation repaired and jacked up, but if you do -- these guys are a solid five star choice.
