Tony and his crew did a great job. He made the process easy and worry free. If I have another like project, I know who to call.

I received a few bids but I leaned towards Tony because of his positive reviews on several review sites.

Extremely frustrating experience. This group does not have the experience or aptitude for higher…read moreend work. This was not a small project - about 4-6 weeks of work. Owner is a nice guy but.... The work was very inconsistent. The mortar varies in color throughout the work, which was on three sides of the home. The joint lines in the first phase look like the work of inexperience. The mortar lines are very sloppy - they missed many. Less than a year later, there are many areas that the mortar has failed. We have stone wall caps, that were to be reset, per the quote. They were not...perhaps two small pieces were. These top caps were loose within a week after they left. This spring the mortar is literally falling out of the joints. With the multiple issues of the mortar color - some of the worse are these bluestone caps. They used a white mortar that looks ridiculous. They didn't lift the caps to replace the failed mortar under them. They just re-pointed them from the sides.....not even taking the time to straighten them. These guys need to use levels, tap measures and have better eyes. Lastly was the overall worksite management. They maybe cleaned up 70% of the way. Left a mess around the work areas. They need to sue tarps to protectbthe area. We are still picking up pieces of mortar on the ground. Parked on our lawn, after I asked them not to. Used a path in the lawn, that was just reseeded and that had to be redone. We trimmed some shrubs near the work for them. I asked them to let me know if they needed more space. No word about it from them....they just broke off the limbs of our mature shrubs bothering them. Warranty? Apparently not. Nick stopped returning texts and messages. I expect he is embarrassed and doesn't want to deal with the re-work needed. He should be embarrassed, but he should also step up and be responsible for these issues. Again....nice guy but

Great communicator and quality workmanship. I will definitely work with him again. There were…read moreseveral points during the construction where they had questions and at those points, they presented options.

Not all negative but really trend that way. So we rate on other platforms generally...saw the 1-star/1-review and had to put this here this time to help the rating. Having said that Verrette was great for us. We needed a quote for basement supports on two walls due to bowing. $1000 to $3000 less than others. Didnt try to sell us on the other two walls. Lined up timely date since we needed to close soon. Did great job. Buyer asked weird questions about some legacy supports asked by overzealous inspector. They came out no charge, analyzed and gave letterhead explanation of why these were not part of house support...mis-understood by buyers inspector. Not part of their original work but no charge....and also done very timely. So straight with us...and good work.

**Verette Construction Review**…read more On Thursday, May 7, 2026, I met with Verette Construction at my home to obtain a quote for drain tile installation. The initial meeting went well, so on July 7, 2026, at 8:08 a.m., I called to request a quote for some additional work. An appointment was scheduled for July 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. When no one arrived, I called the office at 11:28 a.m. and was told there had been an emergency call and that no one would be coming out that day. While emergencies happen, no one contacted me to let me know that no one would be showing up. We rescheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the second appointment went much the same way. At 3:11 p.m., after no one had arrived, I called the office and was told he was likely on his way from another job site. By 3:38 p.m., I called again because no one had shown up, and the office said they would check on his whereabouts. At 3:41 p.m., I received a return call informing me that he "thought it was tomorrow." At that point, I decided to move forward with another contractor. What disappointed me most wasn't that appointments had to be rescheduled or that someone was running late--it was the complete lack of communication. A phone call or text to let me know about the delay or scheduling issue would have gone a long way and would have demonstrated respect for my time. On a positive note, Verette Construction does offer a veteran discount. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean much if they can't consistently show up for scheduled appointments or communicate with their customers. I've decided to try Badger Basement Systems instead and hope the experience is more professional.
