I am out of state, and dependent upon others, which is important to this review. I requested a contractor for roof repair via yelp, and received 3 contractor inquiries in a short period of time. I am fully on board with the contractor trope of "GOOD-FAST-CHEAP, You Pick 2", and this was going to have to be a FAST and GOOD job, so I was anticipating that it wasn't going to be CHEAP. I eventually settled on Buck Remodeling as they could get out to the location quickly- as in day or days, instead or weeks or month. The price was $1,000 to patch the roof in an emergency fashion and I was more than happy with the results. Most importantly, the real estate agent was able to tell prospective buyers that the roof was going to be repaired and we were under contract to have it completed. Thanks Buck Remodeling! The same day I asked for a written contract. The next day Sergio Bate and Switched me and increased his price more than 35% inexplicably demanding $3500. The day before he asked for $2000 in writing and the very next day he demanded $3500 for simple repairs. Eventually, I pointed out his "BATE AND SWITCH TECHNIQUE" and I told him that he should go out to the site and review the scope of work. Sergio continued to tell me about how people have ripped him off (inapplicable to me), he kept referring to me as a "RED FLAG". His unbusiness-like demeanor was offensive, rude, hostile, aggressive and disrespectful argumentative. I questioned why the price point changed & he couldn't explain talking about how he has to pay his workers. I told him that's something that you consider before giving a quote, not afterwards. He was abusive and greedy! I told him if you misquoted that's on you. He as a business entrepreneur must honor his mistakes. I had to explain that I was going to pay his "Bate & Switch" pricing techniques and pay $2,000 today 10/21/2026 & because of the profound discrepancy I asked for $1,500 for next month due November 15th. He point blank declined based on his misquoted pricing. In summary, since I finished first in the Nation (4) times his behavior has been rude, erratic, dishonest, greedy, offensive and repeated "Red Flag" directed to a potential customer. I do not recommend GDL Remodeling as he doesn't know what he is doing, and is very offensive, dishonest, greedy and dishonest!

He instantly knew what was done wrong, what would be needed to fix it and how long it would take, which was significantly less time than the original work we had done by someone far less experienced. Christopher and his team are clearly experts with older homes like ours and they do a phenomenal job, very detail oriented and focused on perfection. Their services are well worth it if you want the job done right! Our dining room was originally natural wood with a deep red color, which we wanted painted white to brighten up the space. The person who we hired to paint it white previously did not use the proper materials, which ended in many layers of unnecessary paint and he didn't fill in all the gaps and holes that show up when painting natural wood white, so it looked very poorly done. The original painter also didn't know what to do with the radiator that was also dark red, so it turned out completely blotchy. Christopher's team came in and had the botched paint job sanded down, the holes/cracks filled and the space prepared for spraying in just a half day. It was remarkable how much better it looked after just a few hours. When they were done after two days, it was impeccable. They came back a week later to get all the hardware reinstalled and put it all back in working order. Some additional adjustments had to be made for the built in, which they made sure were done well for proper use. They also were able to squeeze us in as quickly as possible during rain days that they couldn't do their outside jobs, which we were very grateful for given the lost time of the original job. Cannot recommend Painting by Christopher enough!
