Here, however, is why we are happy we chose Evansen: Doug answered the phone; no answering machine or voice mail.

Elite Exteriors did two jobs for us, and I can't say enough good things about them…read more The first was a residing job on our house. First off, they were very reasonably priced. The team at Elite was awesome -- Ryan walked us through the whole process, answered all our questions, and was a huge help during the planning stages. Jeremie was our project manager and kept us in the loop on everything. Whenever we had questions, he was quick to get answers and help us out. We even ran into a couple of unexpected issues along the way, and Jeremie was on top of those too. The crew, led by Rudy, did a great job -- professional and a well-oiled machine. They completed the job in just 2.5 days, and our house looks wonderful. The second job was a re-roof on our cottage, which came out of a conversation with Ryan. Even though the cottage wasn't in their immediate service area, Elite gave us a proposal that was right in our price range. The team, led by Jake, Manuel, and Eric, was awesome -- efficient and professional, and they finished the job in one day. Our neighbor's contractor was watching the crew work and even commented on how efficient they were. The roof looks great. I'd highly recommend Elite Exteriors to anyone.

The crew was efficient yet thorough. They worked very well as a team. As with any project, there was one unexpected repair that was needed. Elite made sure that repair was done at their expense and the repair was done with expertise. Project two - a roof at our cottage. Karl communicated with us multiple times to coordinate this project and ensure all plans were accurate. This crew was also very efficient and the contractors working next door even commented that they worked like a well-oiled machine. Both projects were completed quickly, yet with high quality craftsmanship. Elite was great to work with for both projects. We have recommended them to multiple neighbors and friends.

I needed a very small siding repair. I was NOT interested in a two step process with an estimate…read morefrom a salseperson followed by a visit from the actual workers. I made that very clear to the scheduler. The scheduler confirmed that that could be done. I subsequently received an email confirming the appointment. I replied, repeating my insistence that I simply wanted the repair made in a single visit without a separate visit from an estimator. Sure enough, an estimator arrived 20 minutes late without any equipment. He was downright rude when I complained, saying "no one does business that way." I told him that Guardian was put on notice at least twice that I was not interested in a two step process. I would not have bothered taking time off from work had they simply told me they required a two step process. At my request, the manager called me, and I explained the situation. She was pleasant on the phone and said that she would she she could find someone in the organization to address the issue. I forwarded the earlier email for her records. She promptly acknowledged receipt. That was all two weeks ago. I never heard from her again. She did not respond to three follow-up emails of increasing urgency. The repair still have not been made, and I am back to square one. I DID receive a robotext asking me to rate my experience. (eyeroll). Stay away from these people. They are arrogant and beyond worthless unless you have a major project, and even then you have to worry about how they respond to a problem. Dear Guardian: am sorry I am not worth your precious time. It will not happen again.

Have had a LOT of communication with Guardian over the past few years. They did a sealant on our…read moreroof, but due to the age of the roof that plan did not hold up - they did explain to us that we really should have a new roof, which we agreed with and they subsequently gave us a credit off of the original quote. Workers were very diligent and hard-working. The project managers had to deal with extra problems that were uncovered when the old roof was taken off - many layers and uneven spots, for which we did pay extra. Our problem is with the follow up. While our manager/site boss - not exactly sure what his title is -was communicative during the process and did come back to follow up with some debris that was left in the gutter, etc. we told him that our large front bush got damaged. He assured us that they have a company that they work with, and that he would have them get in touch with us. That was three months ago, and I have sent him five texts, none of which were answered. While the roof itself seems fine, the lack of follow-up communication does not bode well for potential future problems.

Infinity Roofing. Recommended to us by a friend, Infinity has become our go to for those projects…read morethat I just won't be doing myself. I'm an electrician by trade, there are many things I will do, roofs and doors aren't on that list. Our first project was quoted by a salesperson named Aaron and it was a rip and replace of our roof. He was a good guy and came in and gave us a solid deal with all the service and upgrades I was looking for. Financed this venture through Enerbank USA and paid it off interest free in the years' time allotted. Our latest venture happened through a simple phone call. We had just dealt with the seriously cold Polar Vortex and noticed some issues with our doors. Infinity happened to call us to check on our roof and during this conversation, I had requested anyone with experience with doors. Well guess what, they do doors! About a week later a salesperson named Mark came out and gave us, the Provia doors booklet and a bit of homework. He then came back and we proceeded to build some doors, three to be exact. Again, we will be going with the 12-month interest free financing. We are excited as can be to get these new doors installed and seal this house up. In the business of home remodeling, there are many fast wheelers and dealers out there. We personally have found Infinity to be more of a partner than just a contractor in our home ventures. You really get what you pay for these days and pay for what you get, so why not deal with a company that has your back? I'll throw some pics up once our doors are installed. It was a little pricier than we initially expected but I am expecting the quality of the goods to be second to none. Another plus is not only did we get a deal for the time of year we are purchasing but we also received a nice loyalty discount of an additional 5% since we are on our second project with Infinity. That's what's up as every penny counts!

AVOID INFINITY EXTERIORS AT ALL COSTS…read more They did not fulfill multiple aspects of the contract, our roof has been leaking all week just shortly after installation, and the company has failed to acknowledge or remedy this. They also chipped paint all over the exterior of the house and damaged our brand new windows. In addition, they reused extremely rusted materials despite the contract specifying they would be replaced. When told of these, the quality manager came out -- he papered over some issues, said he would get back to me on others (and didn't), and told me the area with ripped metal where water was getting in was "fine" (that night, we had even more water coming in). Our package also included a "50 point inspection" afterwards to ensure everything was installed properly. Not only did this not happen, but when the Quality Manager came out in response to my complaints he admitted multiple things were missed on initial installation. These were only caught by me having to go up on my roof and check, instead of the 50 point inspection. I am more than happy to update this review should the company decide to fulfill the contract and fix the failing roof. For now, I am forced to spend my time and energy calling, consulting lawyers, and contacting NARI.
