We were initially so excited about working with Community Roofing, but our new gutters and roof ended up damaging our home and are quickly becoming an eyesore. We expected our roof and gutters to last longer than three years, and unfortunately that is not the case. We invested in seamless gutters that were supposed to be customized and properly secured to our building, but that is not at all what we received. Community Roofing did not properly fasten the gutters to the fascia, so they are falling off of the building. In some sections, Community Roofing sloped the gutters toward our house instead of the downspouts, creating water intrusion problems. The shingles are already starting to look shabby and some have nails starting to protrude. The customer service has been even worse than the workmanship. We reached out to Community Roofing repeatedly and they just blew us off. read more

Wanted to give a huge "shout out" to Community Roofing & Restoration for the absolutely outstanding job they did on my roof! The new dark shingles gave my house a complete face lift, a new look and I couldn't be happier. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Their entire team was professional, competent and continually kept me updated and was a joy to work with. They pointed out areas that needed repair that could have caused issues down the road that other roofers didn't even acknowledge. They also did an extra job that wasn't "roof related" but had the ability to do. This saved me from hiring another contractor. We ran into a little "snafu" (which can happen!) but they addressed it expeditiously and efficiently. I would highly recommend them! Community Roofing used to be a very good, professionally run business. Since the business sold in 2019 the quality of service has gone downhill. I contacted Community Roofing on 7/5/25 about a hole in my garage roof. On 7/7/25 I made a 2nd phone call in the afternoon about this same problem. The receptionist was very pleasant, she stated that she forwarded my info to someone to contact me. On 7/15/25, I called again as I still hadn't heard from them. As of Saturday, 7/19/25, I haven't received a call from them yet. I don't expect them to drop everything to repair my roof, however, I do expect simple business professionalism. A return call and inspection of the problem should not take multiple weeks and multiple phone calls. Community Roofing used to be a good business. The direction they are going is sad. read more

I went with Community Roofing after receiving several quotes from other roofers in the area and after meeting with the sales people. I felt very comfortable with Community Roofing and they very middle of the road as far as quotes went. I'm very pleased with the end product. The roof was completed in one day with one return just to add gutter guards and a piece of trim. Paul came to my home to give me an estimate on icicle prevention. He showed me diagrams and pictures of possibly putting an ice and water shield on my roof. He also discussed having salt socks thrown on my roof. Paul is very professional and thorough. Super nice people - covered some minor issues with our roof (a couple of shingles came loose) under the original warranty when they installed the roof. Also were very helpful - there was a woodpecker hole that was too high for our 20ft ladder to reach and they were nice enough to quickly patch that hold in the siding during the brief visit. In 2020 and 2021, our asphalt-shingled roof leaked and we had it repaired. The repairer said that our roof should have been first covered with 1/2" plywood before the shingles had been attached. That's why it was failing after only 17 years. After the second leak, we decided that we did not want to risk another repair cycle. But who should we hire ? We thought about getting "the best price," but that's how we got our last roofer. This time we decided to rely on an established company, Community Roofing and Restoration. We had seen the company install roofs all around the East Side and, in fact, the founder, Jim Godsil had helped install sky lights on our roof back in 1980. Also, the company was highly rated by many homeowners at Angi. So in December, 2021 we called Community Roofing and Restoration to replace our roofs (now the house and garage) in the spring. We also had the gutters replaced and two skylights installed. All went very well. There were a few minor problems regarding small details but the company was quick to oblige. Indeed, the roofing and gutter crews were quite skilled and their teamwork was impressive. Also, everyone was courteous and helpful. Josh and Jake are great to work with. Jake has taken a lot of classes and is a pro at mold issues within an attic. I am a Realtor and rely on his opinions heavily. He enjoys educating people about mold issues and is concerned about the safety of people relative to mold. He will come and evaluate a situation as a complimentary service. Jake is a great guy. This kind of concern and giving is rarely seen in life today. Most businesses charge a fee of $100+ to do an estimate and expect to get the work. I highly recommend Community Roofing. read more

I hired Community Roofing to wrap the exterior trim on my duplex. I decided to give them 3 stars because the work they did is good. But there have been huge communication problems. I just got the final bill now, 5 months later. Even though I reached out and asked for it in November. The work was done in September and there was a huge lack of communication then too. They started weeks late. I have to warn my tenants about workers being on ladders etc. there was also a fair amount of noise which was disruptive to my tenants. That's to be expected. The problem was that nobody would tell me when they were going to show up or how long it would taKe. I finally heard from Community Roofing and they said the work was done. I called me tenants, apologized for the inconvenience etc. Then the workers showed up the very next day. Making me look foolish and really annoying my tenants. I won't be using them again read more

I have had NO FOLLOW THROUGH from this company after my inital contact with them in June, 2019 for tile roof and chimney repair. I recieved an inital visit that was timely in June ....then NOTHING! I called for follow-up approximatley 5 times to merely inquire where I was on the list , knowing they were busy. I was told each and every time I would be contacted.... but alas that did not happen. During my phone call in very early November 2019 I was told someone would come out to take pictures of my roof on a specific day. That did not happen until the followoing week. The photos were sent to the "proposal writer" and a I was to recieve it shortly. Not recieving it I contacted the office right before Thanksgiving. The staff person was shocked that I did not get the porposal and stated the person responsible was deer hunting and would be back for Thanksgiving. She woudl make sure she'd follow-up with him so I would get a proposal. Christmas and New Years came and went.... NO REPONSE.... from the office or "proposal writer". I finally told them to take me off the list and I was tired of not getting responses . I informed them that I only persisted because they advetised themselves as experienced in dealing with tile roofs, othewise I would have dropped them much earlier. I cannot vouch for their work, but I don't want to take a chance on company that has such poor follow-up/communication with customers. read more

The group of men that spent the week working on our home were extremely pleasant, hard working, and interacted great with our daughter who loved watching them from the window. Awful. They ended up destroying my lawn because they would leave their equipment on it for weeks. They didn't even show up most days and would never tell us when they were showing up.
