Doug, the owner is very knowledgeable and professional. When Doug came to inspect the roof and gutter installation and collect the balance, I signed another contract with his company! The roof and gutter experience was so great we've hired Evansen Builders to replace all the window trim and fascia. Since his roof and gutter bid was so great, we didn't even get a second estimate for this work. That settled in a few months, they came back and did it again and it settled again so I just ignored it. 5 years later our basement flooded so we decided to try level headed mudjackers. Sam is a true professional and I'm really upset we didn't use them the first time! The poly jacking actually caused the patio to seize up and sam couldn't get them to raise. Instead of just leave it he can out, jackhammered 20' of concrete and repoured new slabs and holy crap does it look great. He did this for a VERY reasonable amount more than the original amount and put a ton more work into it to make it right. I couldn't be happier and so glad I found these guys!! Not many contractors care like Sam did, couldn't recommend these guys enough!

Steve quoted $1,000. His crew showed up and barely ground out the old mortar (going only a 1/2 inch deep before coating the seams with new mortar). I climbed on the roof and noted the shotty work. I called and texted Steve to discuss. He himself said mortar should be no less than 3/4" to 1". FYI, web says 2 to 3 times the width of a joint. Then Steve scolded his staff for telling me that they only did 1/2" (see photo of receipt). Steve was more upset that I knew the truth about the work they completed then he was about rectifying the job. He wanted me to call Champion (another local biz to confirm his story - i certainly wouldn't trust them either). He refused to adjust the bill and threatened to pull his team without them finishing. Don't trust this company! His team was also very condescending. I am very knowledgeable about construction. They lied to my face and were quite smug while doing so.

I get trying to upsell, but don't add things to the quote a customer actually doesn't need right at that moment if that's not what they're asking for! Bring it to their attention & let them know it's something that needs to be watched & eventually addressed, but not at this time. And give the quote for what 'is' needed instead of trying to scam them out of more money for whatever reason you may have; no moral, no values, need the work/money, etc.!?! The masonrys that I had come look over my place, I questioned them re: all these additionals & said 'both' companies were so honest & said the 'exact same things'; "the majority I didn't need & the rest could just be watched & done if/when the problem ever gets worse"! The one I ultimately chose for various reasons, went above and beyond what they were hired to do & my home looks beautiful again! So the moral of the story is, please get multiple quotes from companies, no matter how small of businesses you are choosing to go with! It's worth it in the end...!

No apologies, no effort to correct the problems with craftsmanship. There's a reason this guy has a list of people suing him-- the circuit court search results say more than I ever could-- he's a con artist, and is pretty darn rude himself!

Unfortunately this has been an issue for several years. I found out the hard way in 2007. I didn't receive payment for a curbless shower project i completed for 5-1/2 months. I sympathize with you on your son's needs but most companies don't have the capital to wait 6 months to receive payment

They completely rebuilt our 2nd-level deck and stairway and covered it in "English Walnut" Azek composite decking with hidden fasteners. They replaced flashing around the edges, installed new cable railing, and installed under-decking with new gutters to make the patio and hot tub below usable even when raining. The deck and patio are amazing. We couldn't have asked for better results or more friendly, professional employees. They cleaned up after themselves every day, completed the project on time and the pricing was competitive. We'd highly recommend Brillo to anyone that values high quality work.

Quality of some work is questionable on siding, flashing and back porch rebuild. Gaps, caulking not…read moredone where there are gaps, house wrap exposed, new flashing not put around attic windows, uneven edges of jpanels in areas, bathroom exhaust is under the soffit not coming out like it use to and should be, new electrical outlets installed were never inspected and sounds like not to code, back porch has numerous issues, posts not in contact with cement, nails sticking out, joists not touching the support underneath, cracks in materials, some posts are movable on posts for steps, gaps between spindles are inconsistent, screws were not counter sunk leaving jagged edges. Awning or roofing over back porch was not done. We were told to deal with the awning ourselves. This was work due to hail damage, so insurance coverage. Continually told there were upgrades and they were free. We opted not to have some things repaired due to minor damage and not replacing the shutters. Told by Zach that he never trusted us, said he would put a lean on our house when we questioned the billing. We never said we wouldn't pay. He would not provide us with invoices with breakdown of materials and labor. Said he recorded some of our conversations although we believe this to be a lie, very intimidating and fear tactics used. He used all the money on so called upgrades that he continued to say were free, we don't know what they are. We did do some add ons and were pressured to replace the flashing and wrap around windows and doors after I confirmed we did not want to replace it earlier in the process. He continued to repeatedly talk about siding the entire garage when we told him right away we did not have the funding to do so at this time. He used the rest of the money for garage repairs on these supposed upgrades that again we were told were 'free'. So we have no insurance money not toward garage repairs. Another contractor says he cannot give us an estimate for roofing the back porch because the porch will not pass inspection. When questioned a few times about minor issues he immediately pulled the crew off the job. I am the main contact and doer which he seemed to not like because I am a woman. We didn't say a lot of things because we were concerned he would delay work which he did then blamed us for his crew being behind. Zach said the crew was behind schedule due to our many changes. He said they would do three sides of the house and finish the last side once the bow window was replaced. Instead he waited until late November when the window was installed. We didn't change things. He decided not do do several things he originally said he woukd do that were included in the insurance quote. He actually didn't physicalky do any of the construction work, he subcontracts. I could go on and on. The bottom line is we were taken advantage of and made the mistake of paying in full. We were told we would receive a warranty for the roofing and the certication that they are certified to do that work. We have yet to receive these items and he has not responded to our request. The only thing we got was here is your warranty without any information. ZP Construction submitted one invoice to our insurance and a different invoice to us. Our insurance adjuster has told us this is INSURANCE FRAUD. We are investigating how we should proceed with not having things done properly or not at all based on the insurance quote. Buyer beware! Thoroughly check on licenses, certifications, references, etc before employing a company.
