I truly hate leaving a negative review because we've had such great experiences here in the past. The previous nurse practitioner we saw was phenomenal--kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. We've seen her multiple times without incident, and she always made well-informed recommendations after a complete assessment. Unfortunately, this time we were seen by a new nurse practitioner, Tiffany C. Laffoon (License #95032168). We only learned her name after calling the Minute Clinic because she refused to identify herself during the visit, despite providing medical recommendations. Tiffany did not examine my 5-year-old son, who had a fever and was complaining of ear pain. She didn't take his temperature, didn't look in his ears, and didn't review his chart. Instead, she told us to give him Motrin and "wait it out," and shamed us for using antibiotics in the past (if it were my son I wouldn't do that she said) --despite them being prescribed by healthcare professionals. When I asked for her name and credentials, she confirmed she was an NP but refused to provide any further information. She had no visible badge, and when I pressed further for her name and license number, she threatened to call the police and accused me of being rude. The visit ended without any assessment, documentation, or after-visit summary. As a licensed healthcare provider myself, I was shocked by the lack of basic triage. Her demeanor was combative, and she made comments about wanting to go home while angrily changing the trash. After she shut herself in the office, I even slid a note on my phone under the door explaining I'm autistic and sometimes communicate directly, but that my son still needed care. She ignored it. The CVS store manager attempted to help, but even they couldn't get her to share her name or license information. Nearly a week later, I've still received no follow-up from Minute Clinic management. My son kept asking, "Mommy, why did her cancel my appointment?" and "Why was her going to call the police?" I had no answer. We were seen by his pediatrician the next day, who confirmed he had a severe ear infection. She immediately prescribed antibiotics and referred us to an ENT--something that could have been caught earlier with even a basic exam. This entire experience was confusing and traumatizing for my son, and we will not be returning. read more

My husband needed a doctor's note for work. As a contractor, he doesn't have medical insurance through his employer. The provider he spoke with through the virtual appt was friendly and professional. It took 13 minutes to diagnose him with sinusitis, no Rx needed at this time. We were charged $119 for 13 minutes and no actual doctor's note. We used a printout of the receipt for his employer. $119 FOR 13 MINUTES!!! read more

So they're very weird here and I usually go to a minute clinic because I feel like they usually care more. The tech was kind of ghetto. She told me that she used to fight a lot in high school which was random information while we were chatting. Then to both her and the doctor would ask me a question and then would literally cut me off before I answered it and start talking to each other or say some thing else and walk out of the room. Then they would ask me the same damn question which I had just been cut off and response to it. I ended up testing positive for Covid and I appreciate the follow up phone call but I was accused of not quarantine and driving around the whole time. She called me on the last day of quarantine and I was driving to a different town to get my mail. I had just been in the house for the last five days. Honestly that all is fine miscommunications happen the doctor seem to be very thorough and pointed out a lot and practical relation that was on my file. It was more or less the initial treatment from the tech who asked me a bunch of questions and then would cut me off or act like I was giving her unsolicited information even though she was asking me the damn question to put it into the system. It was just a very weird experience so I would have to agree that if it's the same tech that they might consider somebody else. Definitely not a professional environment or experience. read more

Much easier than having to make an appointment with my primary and having to wait for days. This is a quick stop office. The wait is about 15 minutes per patient waiting. I went to this minute clinic on Saturday morning, I arrived 15 minutes after it opened... already 5 patients waiting. I did sign in and waited almost 1 hour. The time went by fast because you can read, shop or look around while you wait. When it was my turn... I was told by the NP that they didn't take my insurance. The consultation with no insurance is about $120 or so. I would pay more/wait longer if I went somewhere else. The NP, I believe her name is Lorna or Lorra... she was great. She was very thorough with the consultation, gave me lots of information and walked me to the exact over the counter medications I should be taking. She also gave me some coupons to use for those meds. read more

I needed a TB Risk Assessment filled out and my doctor wouldn't do it for weeks, so I went to MinuteClinic. There were no appointments for the day, and I came in around 6:45 PM and they did their best and were able to fit me in. Both the provider I saw and the other one who helped me get seen were fantastic! Not only that, but they were caring and understanding of the urgency of getting the form signed. Bad experience! Don't know why they closed the Temecula parkway location. I've been gonna go minute clinic for years with my same insurance but paid cash and never had an issue. Nice ppl but wow. I drove to this location which took me about 25 minutes because I was told it was $35 for a TB test, and I could make an appointment so I figured they would be on time. My appointment was at 3 o'clock I was seen at 3:40. When I arrived to get it checked today they told me it's another $39 Are you serious it cost $74 to place a TB test. Save yourself money and go to an urgent care it was only $40 at urgent care when I called to ask and that was the total price. I'm glad I got lied to just take it in the door. DO NOT GO HERE FOR COVID PCR TESTING!! You will not get your test results within 72 hours of your flight time. The kicker you have no one to follow up with other than some representative putting in a ticket. Unless you are willing to be out of $$$ for the rest and airline tickets do not do pcr testing here. read more

So I just had the worst experience I've ever had at a check up. First of all I got there at 1:05 for my 1:10 appointment and got seen at 2. This is fine except there is a big sign in their waiting room that says "lunch from 1-2" so as I look at the other 3 people waiting to be seen I can't help but wonder why are they booking all these appointments at a time when doctors aren't even there, is this CVS or SouthWest? But that's seems like a forgivable simple management issue, no big deal. After I get seen I get prescribed some amoxicillin for the sinus infection I was just diagnosed with. Great! I get to their pharmacy and they tell me they don't have it in stock and won't, their solution is that I go to the supermarket in the same parking lot and attempt to fill it there... okay, so I do that and upon arrival I am told the same thing by the Vons pharmacist. Now I'm annoyed. I return to this location visibly irritated and in pain. I return to the CVS pharmacy and see what my options are. Now they tell me to just go ask the physician to change the dosage to one they have in stock. Okay great, lots of leg work for a customer but whatever I'm just trying to get my meds and get out of there. I go and knock on the door in the screening area because they are all closed and I did not have anymore disposable time to wait for a session to end. Upon knocking a different physician comes to answer me named Fatimah Harvey, who was not seeing a patient. I told her what my issue was and what the pharmacist said to do. She could see I was annoyed and in pin and before ever offering or attempted to help me she decided it would be best to aggressively tell me that I shouldn't be irritated. That it was an accident made by human error and that until I wasn't frustrated I wouldn't be helped. I said repeatedly I'm in pain and you have just wasted 2 hours of my time running me around the entire strip mall to try to get some antibiotics. I apologized for not being a peachy ray of sunshine but asked her multiple times to please stop enhancing or trying to provoke me, fix the mistake that this establishment made, and send me on my way. She then proved to yell at me. Embarrass me and overall treat me like a drug addict trying to score? Over amoxicillin? She then hit an alarm! Saying i had gotten to loud and out of control. Over all this experience sucked. It was embarrassing. And clear it Fatimah Harvey had a bad day, or PTSD with previous patients she decided to take out on me. As a manager of restaurants for over 15 years, and someone with mental health issues I could not understand why she felt so necessary to engage, provoke and treat me or any customer with such hostility. Maybe Fatimah should be a bouncer or something because she decently was looking for conflict and after the events I was put thru I was more than willing to accommodate. HUGE SHOUT OUT to the CVS Minute Clinic & Pharmacy Team @ 29610 Rancho California! My 5 year old has a very painful ear infection and the last thing we wanted to do was wait hours at Urgent Care today. I opted to take him to the CVS Minute Clinic and 17 minutes later (as a walk-in) we had an official diagnosis, a prescription and a lollipop! The Dr. team was efficient, knowledgeable and very sweet to my son. Unfortunately with our insurance the medication (ear drops) came to $184!! The CVS Pharmacist (wish I would have gotten her name) said, oh no no no and asked if I could give her a few minutes to work with her team. I overhear her working diligently with her team... promo codes, coupons, what about this..what about that....I hear $153....$130.....$101..... and then it got quiet. The Pharmacist finally returns with a huge smile and a $9.71 bill, I couldn't believe it! They did not have to go the extra mile to help us but they did and we are SO GRATEFUL to the CVS team. Do not go here if you want a compassionate person taking care of you. Sitting in the chair I was scolded and treated with great disrespect. I wouldn't talk to my dog that way. Seriously, she claimed to be a physician assistant but I could swear it was more like a 2nd grade education. Sitting there in her chair she's googling what to prescribe. Seriously it's not rocket science. When an informed person comes in for an antibiotic, has had it before, and knows what works best, there's no need to try to pick a fight with a sick person. They already don't feel good all she did was add to the stress. Every year I get the same set of symptoms. Family doctor treats with a course of antibiotics and I'm good to go. She said maybe I should go to Urgent care. Well why do they advertise their minute clinic as an Urgent Care? So if you're not an Urgent care what are you? Change a bandaid?? At the very least, be kind and if you can't treat someone with a lung infection tell them up front so they don't waste time. read more

I've been to 2 CVS Minute Clinics, the one over on Temecula Parkway and this Minute Clinic. The first time, I went in for a sinus infection. They checked me in, I skyped with a doctor, and was prescribed some antibiotics. While I was there I mentioned I needed a refill on one of my prescriptions. Well, they had already checked me out, so they checked me back in to refill the prescription. At the time, no big deal. Well, when I got my bill they charged me for two visits! When I tried to call the number listed on my bill to discuss the error, I was unable to get ahold of a person. I had to push 1, then push 5, etc. etc. I sat on hold for 20+ minutes listening to music before finally giving up. Next, I went online to find an address I could send my dispute to. I wrote them a nice letter explaining the error. I was never contacted about the dispute. In the meantime I sent in a check for the first office visit, with another letter indicating why I was not paying the entire bill (I was overcharged). Next thing I know, I got a letter indicating I was sent to collections for my remaining balance. I paid the collections bill and never heard from CVS Minute Clinic. I went to Minute Clinic a second time about a month ago, I recently received the bill. I was double charged again! I've been on hold for 15 minutes now and still haven't been able to talk to a person. To add to my frustration both times I went in, I was told it "looks like your insurance will cover everything". Knowing my insurance, I expect to owe something, but I do not expect to be double charged every time I visit. I'll admit it is nice being able to check in and be seen fairly quickly, but dealing with billing errors everytime I go is not worth it!! read more

There is only one person manning this clinic and she is also the nurse. Long wait. And if you are a walk in, you will get bumped by online appointmemts. There was no receptionist and the clinic door was always closed. After waiting for 45 minutes, the door opened and the nurse told me that I would be seen after 90 more minutes to give way to arriving online appointments. After reviewing a less-than-spectacular urgent care facility I had been to, I thought of this CVS Minute Clinic. I have been here twice for minor illnesses - the first time over a year ago when I had just moved to the area and didn't have a doctor or insurance, the second time more recently. I already knew what the issue was, just needed antibiotics prescription. Both times I was seen quickly, within 15-20 minutes. There was just one Nurse Practitioner on staff, she did the workup, the lab test, and wrote the prescription. Super easy. Plus it's right inside the pharmacy so very convenient to pick up the prescription. I also liked the check-in kiosk, with the text-notification option. Could browse through the store while waiting vs just sitting there. (Great marketing strategy on CVS's part) It's not the prettiest setup, just an exam room set in the back of the store, and if you have to do urinalysis you will need to walk through the store to the restroom and back again. (All your supplies are given to you in a plain bag so it's not like you have to walk through the store with your cup of pee) Other than that it wasn't bad at all. Quick, painless, convenient. I will definitely go here again should the need arise. read more

I took my daughter with a severe cough, the nurse practitioner diagnostic my daughter as a allergy and I spent $100 dollars in medicines, the nurse was more interested in selling medicines than doing a good diagnostic on my child, even when a mention to her that the almost every child in her classroom was having the same symptoms. I bought he medicines and It didn't worked at all, actually I have to spend more money on other doctors and medicines ( one overseas) and other here in the country. Today I got a bill form them asking for more money , we have insurance and our co pay is $20 dollars for regular doctors and $50 for specialist. They are charging me as a specialist, I don't get it, there is not even a doctor there so why do I have to pay for a specialist? this is just a BIG BUSINESS. BE AWARE!! read more

We checked in at 3:00 and received a return to the clinic text around 3:20. We were seen by 3:30. He was seen by two Nurse practitioners and they were both great. I came here as a quick solution to get my daughters required whooping cough vaccination in order to be registered for the school year. Her doctors office couldn't get her in so I needed to do something. I came here to get a price on how much it would be to just get her shot there. I asked the doctor to please run my insurance to see if the visit and vaccination was covered and how much out of pocket I was looking at. She ran my insurance and told me "you have great insurance, everything is covered 100% not even a co-pay". Wow! I was shocked and so exited. She then said that my daughter also needed a meningitis vaccination and since it was "covered 100%" I of course gave my consent. I now have a bill for over $200 for vaccination from CVS Minute Clinic. Turns out my insurance doesn't cover CVS Minute Clinic and I am now responsible for all the costs. The doctor was deceitful and a liar all in order to line her pocketbook. read more
