In the time between making the appt and having the appt I ended up with COVID symptoms. I was unable to modify the appt online so decided to just go and let the PA know when I got there that I needed a COVID test and most importantly, a note for work. The appt was for 5:00. They were supposed to be open until 7:30. When I got in there, I told the PA what happened and I have never felt more humiliated and like a waste of space in my entire dealings with minute clinic. She spoke to me like I was wasting her time, like I was a 2yr old, and told me that I had "booked a 10 min appt, there are still 2 other patients" that she needed to see and that she was closing early that evening. Meanwhile I had just waited 20min in COVID agony in the waiting room. She refused to give me the COVID test because "it takes 15 min and you booked a 10 min appt". She then told me to go buy a COVID test in the store. Online, it doesn't tell you how long the appt being booked is for. It also doesn't let you modify the appt. How was I supposed to know that I booked a 10 min appt? In the amount of time it took her to berate me for the 10 min vs 15 min appt that COVID test could have been started. Absolutely horrible experience. Humiliating and what a way to kick a sick person when they're down.

When I arrived the provider took me in immediately and tested to confirm I had strep throat. I was able to pick up a prescription for an antibiotic right there at the same time. This was so much more reliable than the local urgent care options. Its also great they are open on the weekends as needing attention on Sat. or Sun. can be a nightmare. I would definitely recommend the Minute Clinic for simple ailments like strep or a sinus infection.

I haven't been feeling well for a while and yesterday I hit a new low. I hadn't thought about going anywhere until I stopped by CVS to pickup some prescriptions. I noticed there was next to no wait at the MinuteClinic and decided to sign in. The sign in process was easy and it was great to see that you can now schedule your appointment and save your place in line without waiting. I was greeted by the nurse practitioner named Danielle. She listened to all of my concerns and was super friendly with a great bedside manner. Within about 10 minutes (would have been less if I wasn't so talkative) she figured out the problem and sent the prescription right away to the pharmacy onsite. It was an easy transaction and I am grateful for the convenience during a time where I truly felt terrible and would not have wanted to wait hours to be seen. I highly recommend it. This CVS is the first retailer in this shopping plaza. It is very well stocked. They even have fresh roses by the register. Most of the new releases are already on the shelves, no special displays. I was very surprised to find Pat McGrath Makeup at this CVS. Pat McGrath is a high end brand I typically find at Sephora. Additionally they also have some high end skincare here. I haven't used their pharmacy or their photo department. This is a nice CVS I would be sure to return to in the future.
