Initially, a same day photo order of two days past was not on site, even after notifications it was ready for pickup. Extremely apologetic, the front end clerk suggested I redo the order. Time was of essence. I followed her suggestion, the order was ready and there within three hours and I was gifted it for my inconvenience! Seems smaller than most CVS's, and there is always a line no matter what time of day or day of the week you shop. They don't seem to get the same amount of holiday items that other CVS locations in the area. The staff is nice, but I find the customers are usually pretty cranky because they are frustrated about the wait. I recommend you don't sign up for phone/text messages from the pharmacy, they will stalk you! read more

Cashiers working at 6:00pm Saturday, March 5th were very rude when I questioned why a coupon I had didn't come off. They redid the coupons and it came out much more. They tried to say it was because of the extra $4.00 coupon lowering the price that the percentage coupon took off. While I understand this, it was not mathematically adding up. It wasn't even close. As I questioned it and pointed out that wouldn't make the cost go up they started talking to each other on Spanish so I wouldn't know what they were saying. They finally fixed the problem and as the older woman walked away she said, "this is why no one wants to work retail". I was flabbergasted and told her she was being rude. They both proceeded to tell me I was rude, because I questioned the coupons. I have been coming to this CVS since it opened and have never been treated so badly. Purchased 1 nicotine gum 15.97 went to checkout debit machine declined first attempt used the same card it went thru the 2nd time i checked my bank account cvs double charged me for the gum so i go back in with recept and show the manager my bank statement with the double charge and she says it will go back in bank account the next day well it never went back in my account. I walked in to a line of 12 people and one lady at the front cash register . Back at Pharmacy there was a female pharmacist talking non-stop to her fellow pharmacist . The young girl literally took 15 minutes to input my insurance company information . I guess I could forgive it if I didn't have flu symptoms and bad sinus headache . At the end of the 15 minutes I ask " how long" and she says " about a hour" . A hour??? Maybe if the pharmacist would shut her mouth for 3 minutes she could get some work done . I decide to shop and see CVS prices are double of any other pharmacy in area . So.... bad service AND high prices??? Next time Walgreens, Walmart or Suburban Pharmacy . Why spend your hard earned cash at a place that has management that really doesn't care about its customers ?? Doesn't make sense . read more

Pretty typical CVS experience, the store has a nice layout and its pretty easy to find everything, the associates are friendly and will gladly help if you need it, and the pharmacy has never given me problems. I will never return to the minute clinic there after a horrible experience, but I don't hold CVS responsible for that. The only things I wish is they didn't stop selling cigarettes because it was so much more convenient to grab them while I was there, (and it is a drug store, its almost funny they stopped selling cigarettes because they are a bad drug in a sense, when some if the stuff you can get in the pharmacy will destroy your body and life much faster...but I digress) and I wish this was a 24 hour location. But other than that, its what you'd expect from a typical CVS store. read more

If you need Covid-19 testing, I would not use CVS' MinuteClinics. The local staff are friendly and professional, but CVS' overall system is not well organized enough to handle the basic communication and customer service needed for this type of work. In my case, I was told that I would need to register on the CVS system to get my test results. They were to send two e-mails, one with an activation code and a second, which is used to collect your personal information and requires the activation code. So they send me the second e-mail with the registration form but not the first with the required activation code. All my attempts to resolve this have been a frustrating waste of time. E-mails go unanswered, calls to their customer care line lead to no solution. I've had experiences like this with other services at CVS but thought they would take something as important as medical testing more seriously. I was wrong. I'll be going somewhere else to get this testing redone by a competent organization that takes this type of testing seriously, I would suggest that you do the same. read more

I shop at this CVS at least twice per week and love the non-pharmacy staff. They are always extremely helpful. As far as the pharmacy staff, they are completely a chaos; unprofessional and do not take emergency situations seriously. I speak of the staff working on 1/12/2017 who closed the pharmacy prior to 9:00pm. I sat in drive through window for about five minutes watching them fooling around and completely ignored me even while beeping my horn. Had to go to the Vernon store which is out of my way. This is the second time in less than 3 weeks. I don't trust CVS filling any future prescriptions my immediate family, extended family or friends. read more

The pharmacy service at this location is terrible. They ran out of medication I have been on for years despite being on an automatic refill plan. They cannot tell me when it will be in. I told them I am totally out. They told me to call around and see if I can find it elsewhere. At Walgreens they used to provide me with enough pills to tide me over until their supply came back in. Walgreens is now a participant under my current insurance plan and I will be taking our family's business there despite it being a greater distance to travel. This pharmacy has major management issues. Go elsewhere. Most recently, I ordered a maintenance drug online. After 6 days, it was not filled. I called and spoke with a pharmacy staff on Monday am, and ordered again. She promised the script in a couple of days. Went that weekend, and there was no trace of my order. Spoke with the pharmacist in person, who said she would personally order it. Went in the next weekend. No indication my script existed. The same pharmacist said the fax number must be wrong. (No way. It's been working for the past 7 years...). A week later, you guessed it. Nothing. Yesterday, my Doctor called it in for me personally. I get to the store... No indication of my script. The same pharmacist said they had no fax or phone message. I called my doctor from the counter. My Doctor had to physically call back, while I was there, speak to the same pharmacist, and order my script. I had to literally coordinate a phone call between my doctor and the pharmacist to get the meds filled. If there are breakdowns like this for filling simple regular scripts, imagine how your complex, life dependent prescriptions are handled. Stay away. read more

I usually have a good experience when I enter into this CVS. But tonight it was not so good. I walked into the store to two associates having a conversation. Both failed to acknowledge me entering the store. I went to pick up a prescription but as I headed to the pharmacy in saw that the gate was down. I turned walked back to the front of the store to the two associates who were still talking about something not store related. I asked about the pharmacy hours and was told that they think it was 9 but if I walked back there I xould see the hours were posted. Customer service was horrible tonight. NOT PLEASED! read more

Went to the MinuteClinic with a sinus infection, and needed some treatment before boarding an international flight. I can't say enough about how great it was! The practitioner was friendly, knowledgable and courteous. She asked me all the questions and then electronically set my prescriptions to the pharmacy, which were ready in less than 10 minutes! Every time I visit this place I promise myself I won't go to this CVS anymore, and then I break my promise and end up here again to fill a prescription or some other nonsense and end up super angry. This time I mean it, I'm never going back! And I'm writing this review, because this place is consistently bad. It a small, kind of run down CVS and it's the only free-standing pharmacy in the very busy commercial part of Buckland Hills (note there is a pharmacy in the Target, which is where I'm going to try to go from now on). This place simply can't handle the volume it gets. It's normal to walk in and see a full line from the back of the store at the pharmacy to the front of the store waiting to pick up prescriptions. It's also typical to see a huge line at the front counter as well, and 4 or 5 people waiting at the minute clinic. Why people go to the minute clinic here when there are at least 3 urgent care places in the immediate vicinity, I don't know (because you won't be in and out of this CVS in a minute, trust me). I give this place 2 stars instead of 1 because I very occasionally had an "OK" experience at the pharmacy -- like, my RX was ready and I paid for it and was able to leave in under 10 minutes (very rare). The last time I was there went like this: I went to pick up my refill, which I had called in a day before for pickup that day at that time, it wasn't ready, I waited 40 minutes, it still wasn't ready and I stormed out and had to come back the next day (when it was FINALLY ready). The time before that went like this: I went into buy two items (one of which was ice cream), there were 7 people in line at the front ,the first lady took 10 minutes with coupons, the second lady paid cash and they ran out of change, and 20 minutes later I abandoned my items, including the melted ice cream, on the front counter and stormed out. Unless you like getting into an uncontrollable rage, do not shop here. read more

I was so disappointed, the Pharmacy filled my prescription one month ahead of time. I called and the employee was not helpful at all. She kept talking around my question and interrupting me. I finally came out and asked her if she was going to let me finish my sentence. After thinking about it, I called the pharmacy today to let the supervisor know what the "customer service" was like the day before. Honestly, he never apologized and did not seem concerned at all. On Friday, March 9, 2018 at noon, the CVS clerk told me the price for 1 NB VIT D 1000IU was $18.79 each; however, the store had only one; then John, the clerk at CVS told me, I only paid for the price 1/2 of $18.79; however; I don't have any idea why he came up with the price total $28.18 for only "one bottle of Nature's Bounty Vitamin D Dietary Supplement Softgels". I told him, it was wrong and don't want to buy and refused to SIGN. Unfortunately, he already charged $28.18 into my credit card, he processed the refund and gave me a refund of $14.09. I argue with him, why he took $28.18 out of my credit card and gave me back only $14.09. I refused to go home, finally, he realized his error, gave me back another $14.09. I hope CVS will have to do something before other pharmacies take South Windsor customers away from CVS. My family & I have been going here for years. Up until recently we were pleased with past experiences, however as of lately the customer service at the pharmacy counter itself has been terrible. The pharmacists come off as superior and cold, not welcoming or even remotely helpful. Hopefully they can rectify this issue soon, as I'm getting tired of their condescending attitude every time I pick up my medication and (god forbid) have a question on the matter. read more

Took over an hour to get my daughters prescription 3 hours after it was called in. The little brat doing the registration wouldn't even get up off her butt to look at anything, and also was making comments that I find to be very unsatisfactory. Well to top it off my daughter may have received the correct prescription however all the wrong doses. completely different from what was called in. she wasn't given enough of then meds and 2 weeks later still had pneumonia. Totally unacceptable and I will NEVER go here again. This was my first and will be my last. read more

I thought I was a valued CVS customer, doing business with CVS in S. Windsor, CT for over 15 years. I received a 30% off birthday coupon in the mail saying I was a frequent flier with your program. I went to CVS on 6/9/19 at 2:00pm to purchase an ankle brace, cosmetics, shampoo, toiletries, paper goods and Father's Day cards. I did not have my CVS card with me and I automatically provided the cashier with my cell number, then recalled it was under my home number. He put in the number himself and said I am sorry our data base is not registering your rewards account, you will not be able to use the coupon. He took it and threw it out. He did not give me any recourse. My birthday is in June and it was a birthday coupon with my name on it but CVS did not honor it. Every time you go in you get a myriad of coupons....what good are they if you can't use it. This is not professional and I WILL NOT EVER shop at CVS again. Walgreens here I come. read more

I love this pharmacy. They're quick and reliable in the pharmacy. However, I HIGHLY DO NOT suggest visiting this minute clinic. I went in with extremely swollen tonsils. The nurse was very rude and clearly ill trained. She tested for strep and when it came back negative, sent me away without any further help. "Take Motrin" was all she said. Two days later, I went to the ER with a bleeding throat, body aches, and fever. Turns out I had pharyngitis that was unresponsive to her "over the counter" treatment. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
