Used this group for a few months. The cleaners that show up were kind and professional, though sometimes the level of depth was inconsistent between groups of cleaners. Nevertheless, a good service though hard to have expectations met depending who shows up. Recently we had to cancel an apt a day before through listed phone number on their site (technically late by an hour or so, I'm fine with that), but their group still showed up the next day. Since then, we received to back last minute email cancelations from Minted Maids. Not sure if we were put on the S list or not, but with no reattempt at calling to reschedule is a bummer. read more

Day of, not 1, not 2, not even 3 people....but 4 people showed up to clean!! They did a fantastic job and had it done quickly!!! I'm super happy with Minted Maids. I say they are the DoorDash of cleaning services because you can order a customized cleaning on their app and pay for it through the app, including tip, so no more digging around for my checkbook! It's surprisingly affordable, especially considering inflation right now. The prices are standardized, so no waiting for a quote. The cleaning teams are very nice ladies. They do a good job and are fast. They did some extras like cleaning a few dishes in the sink, which I was not expecting. The best part is the extra, personal communication from the owner. They text you a reminder the morning of your cleaning. They also text once the team arrives. And they text you later to see if you are happy with your cleaning. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP! So I have been using minted Maids for the past 6 months - I have a toddler and a full time job, so I hired them to come and clean my house on a biweekly basis. 1) they are never ever on time - if the cleaning window is 10 am to 12 pm, they will almost always arrive after 12 pm, I relied on time as I have a child and back to back meetings, so if they arrived late, I had to move over a lot of things to accommodate the cleaning! I have requested multiple times to have them come on time but it has never happened 2) ONE TIME ( just one time) when they arrived at 12 pm, I had stepped right out of my house to take my dog for his bio break! I have a ring camera and this cleaning team was only waiting for 5 mins ( I have proof) - when I walk over to my door (just 5 mins late), I profusely apologize for being late and this cleaning lady has the audacity to pass a comment in Spanish and give me a smirk and they all laugh; I politely ask them to leave and did not want this group to clean my home with this attitude. They also lied that they were waiting for 20 mins (I have a camera that records time with video) 3) one time ; just one time again I was dealing with a family emergency, and called minted maids at 9 am on a scheduled cleaning day, and told them I have to reschedule -they argued that the "the team has almost reached my place, and that they have to charge me a cancellation fee of 90 dollars; mind you they are never ever ever on time - so this was a BIG FAT LIE! I let it go, and I see my invoice, they have charged me for a full cleaning services (169 dollars) instead of just the cancellation fee This is one of the shadiest services I have used. They are all about the money; the work itself is shabby! They were cribbing about wearing a mask in the middle of the pandemic - and they are also not good at what they do. I got a deep clean and both times they forgot to do the all base boards and clean my main closet door when you first walk in the house. They were also over a hour late. The second time they stole or misplaced, can't get a hold of them of course my dogs antibiotics. His antibiotics for his uti that cost $80. They stole this time my all trash bags under my sink. They took out my trash and didn't replace any bags. The bathroom the kitchen all were left with no bags. Than they didn't take out the recycling. Than they left the trash bag outside in front of my house. We called, text, no answer. My husband even tipped them $40 each the first time for them to steal from home and don't do the job they are being paid for. This cleaning we told them don't worry about a whole entire room, my husbands office because he was working and they still did all that. Stay far away from them! Also they never once did a finally walk through with my husband. Edit: I have called and called to speak with a manager and they refuse. Than they leave a comment on Yelp about their shady business. Stay far away Like others have mentioned. We told you we do not want you back in our home because of these things happening and the refuse to let us talk to a manager or offer a refund they just want to come back and half clean my house again. I was Yelp elite for 5 years and have wrote 100s of 5 star reviews for many things but your terrible service deserves a minus 1 star. My cleaner was so prompt she was actually a little early! When customer service contacted me to let me know she was there but was willing to wait in her car until I was ready, I was really impressed with their constant communication and flexibility to my needs. The cleaner herself was amazing! Really friendly and very thorough. She actually gave me some great advice on some issues and also reorganized things on my countertops that made the space looks so much better and aesthetically pleasing. It's a shame because Minted Maids started as a pretty good cleaning service. We requested a deep cleaning and they did okay. It was really just a very basic cleaning, they mopped the floors and cleaned the bathrooms and just general tidiness. I would expect they would've dusted and cleaned out the cabinets but you get what you pay for and they were very reasonable. We started using them for biweekly cleaning and one team worked pretty well. In fact they did a better job than the deep cleaning. However, when we couldn't get a specific team the others were less then to be desired. We currently live in an average size home and one time a cleaning service said they completed all their cleaning in under an hour. With only 2 people. Of course this means they didn't mop or clean the bathrooms or really do anything except make the beds and pick some things off the floor. They didn't even sweep or vacuum. This was probably the worst cleaning I experienced with them. Another issue was getting a cleaning crew from start to finish. They would constantly have to reschedule and in one instance a cleaning crew started and couldn't finish the job after a hour. They wanted to call in a secondary crew to continue the work but that would've required us to be at home all day waiting for the next crew to appear. Oh and buyer beware about their refund policy. They will not offer any refunds for botched jobs. They will offer discounted services but then with our experience good luck getting a crew to clean your house at all. Eventually they just admitted they didn't have the staff for our area to continue cleaning in San Jose and told us to find another service. Had a great interaction with them via Yelp but everything quickly went downhill after that. They were late but that's totally fine. We don't care at all. But the cleaning was AWFUL. We requested a move in/move out and the cleaning was a joke. They didn't seem to try and half assed everything. The baseboards were dirty. They didn't wipe counters, the backsplash, didn't clean the shower, didn't dust, I mean the list goes on. Then I reached out and she asked me to send pics, of which I did. But then when they got back here I had to show them everything again. While showing all the issues, she stated that's because it's dirty and you can't clean it. But I literally cleaned portions of it before they came... I'm not a professional cleaner but I clean all the time and if I am able to do it... shouldn't they? Not only that but they made it very uncomfortable and it was very obvious that they were unhappy. This is actually a negative one star.. I cannot/will not recommend this company. They made a commitment to clean my home then suddenly they had problems wanted me to change my date which I could not do. Finally they agreed they would come on the day I requested and yet one more time before the day they were due to arrive, they contacted me to get me to change my day because the crew wanted the day off. I reminded them that was not an option for me as I was leaving this area. Cleaning day arrived and three people showed up. They didn't clean behind the doors, they didn't clean in the closets, they Didn't sweep cobwebs, Left the bottom drawer of the oven with a pan filled with dirty water, along with the dirty water in the drawer. My hardwood floors were so wet that I was unable to actually view the condition of the house when it was time for them to leave. They left their equipment at my house and then expected me to take care of it until they returned for it. I had to stay an extra day, which was a hotel fee and kennel fee to make arrangements for them to come back and redo their work, which they couldn't do until, five days later. Since I had to leave town, I had to have my realtor monitor the crew. I asked them to send a different crew. They did agree to send a new crew when they returned to properly clean but they did not honor their agreement. My advice is never use them. Not even in moments of shit desperation. They didn't want to give me a parting gift so they offered me a discount on a future cleaning. They even offered to let me give it to somebody. I asked around and everyone laughed. read more

I looked through several quotes from various companies before deciding on Minted Maids. They were very responsive and were very clear about what was covered and what was not. The first service was a deep clean and the last couple have been standard cleanings, and so far so good! I really appreciated being able to go online for scheduling and to choose from their services menu. For example, I have pets and can choose to include those services. If I need the windows cleaned or something else, they show all of that pricing online. They have a 2-hour arrival window, which is something I hadn't seen before. However, the communication has been great. They send me a reminder for my service, and then also text me with an expectation of when in the window the team will be arriving. The team arrives and gets right to work, and the next thing I know my house is beautiful again! They're also really good with my special requests. I have a cat who likes to bolt so they keep all the doors closed as they move in and out of the house. I'm usually home and working while they clean, and they let me know how they're progressing and when they're ready for my office. Once they're ready to leave, they ask me to come check everything. They give a range of time for the cleaners to arrive. Which is good so you both have some flexibility. Most of the times they send the same person, but if that person can't make it they keep close communication with you and they send someone else trying to stay within the original schedule. Wow! What a difference their deep cleaning made in our apartment. They even went above and beyond and scrubbed the walls beside our baby's highchair and folded our baby's blanket in a beautiful way that reminded me of origami! Before they came over the deep cleaning wasn't getting done because we are busy parents. Then after two hours the place was sparkling clean and became a sanctuary. We are hiring them quarterly. Love them and highly recommend! I scheduled my appointment online and, less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment, MM asked me to reschedule for a different window two hours later. The cleaning team did not show up at the rescheduled time and, when I texted MM to ask if they were on their way, MM said the team was running behind schedule and would be there near the end of the window. They didn't show up near the end of the window either and, when I texted again, said they would be 30 minutes after the end of the scheduled window. It honestly felt like Comcast's customer service... While the cleaning team did a decent job , I won't be using this service again due to the bad experience with scheduling. The customer service of this business is UNREAL. So on top of it and easy communication . I had two women in and out quickly. It was a mediocre clean . My bathtub still has a ring so I'll be having to get in there still. I also heard one of the ladies in Spanish say my bathroom was " really" dirty . I am sure they didn't know I understand Spanish. On the good side, the communication was excellent. They responded promptly with questions about scheduling. Our place is only 1200 sq ft and was cleaned by us before the cleaners showed up. It took almost 2.5 hours to clean and honestly it wasn't as good as other local cleaning services. They used Pinesol on our hardwood floors which left a soapy film. Most cleaning services know to use products geared towards the flooring. And they did not vacuum our front rug. When I arrived there were still footprints all over the front rug. We had our first cleaning service from Minted Maids this week. We have just completed a construction project and needed a deep clean (plus we have pets). Two ladies arrived within the window stated (wearing masks) and worked for a solid 3+ hours. I am so pleased with the results. The floors and countertops look so good. That fine powder of construction dust is gone! I like that the company has an online portal on which you can schedule appointments and adjust cleaning needs. You can add on services like fan blade, window or inside cabinet cleaning. We price compared a couple of different cleaning services and Minted Maids was very reasonable with their pricing. The first few service appointments were fine. After that, they cancelled my next couple of appointments the day of service. I had an appointment scheduled for a Tuesday afternoon. They texted the morning of and said that there was a mix up with the schedule and would need to reschedule for another day. I rescheduled for Friday morning at 10am. Friday comes and at 10:30am I messaged them to get an ETA. I heard back around 11am and they said that they were running behind, which was no problem at all for me. Then at around 12pm they messaged me saying that they could not make it because the first appointment took longer than expected. Yes I did some cleans for Minted Maids. It was easy to get hired by them so I was good until it came to me to get paid? For some reason my wait tiles were always different. But I dealt with it until I got tired and told them I'm good. I don't need to work for people that can't walk a straight arrow. The cleaners before didn't do much and missed important places that were in need of a clean desperately! So after I brought it all I. And after a long 2 hour drive I began to set up to clean. I went to start in bathrooms and water wouldn't go on. Well I went to every place where water runs and nothing! I thought ok let me check under sinks so I did turned knobs on and off nothing I called the office and the girl asked me can you just clean without the water I said sure but what needs to be cleaned won't get cleaned !? Bottom line I drove out here to do a job with Minted. But there was no water? Unless I'm just going to dust I needed water. I waited 2 hours til they decided what I should do? Turns out the owner turned off the water because no one was occupied the house and the tenant that moved out knew this before I got there! So Minted finally said go home the job is cancelled! I drove two hours to get home when I got home my car gas went to yellow light! I had 30 miles before I run out. I wasn't worried when I loaded the tank with gas because I had a job that was going to pay me 200$ so it must have cost the client much more than that but I never got to do the job. I went home because Minted cancelled the job. When something like this happens the worker will get a cancellation fee.Aautomatic and it's usually half of what the job paid. Two weeks later I still have no money from Minted so if course I have to get on top of this because they are always shady when it comes to getting paid. I have had these problems with them and yes I went back again because I needed the money and what happens? I waited nearly two weeks I was told that it was all taken care of? But I never received a dime I asked the girl to please double check to make sure all my info is correct so nothing tragic happens but she never did! Today I finally got a text from the same payroll lady that lags. After two weeks she asked me fur all my info again and my direct deposit info so I had to re-email everything g which meant all this time nothing was done. By this time I was drained and broke and this place cared less! Then she told me I was waiting for the cancellation fee right the 37$? Right. Well I must have fallen off my chair! Most cancellation fees are the price of half the job! I spent 100 just to get up there and supplies to get the job done! When I got there no water so I couldn't work they finally after two hours in that freezing house by the ocean I was told I can go home and I did! Today this person and Mr jumping thru hoopsfir things she already had access to. But when she told me I was getting 37$ and the client paid 75 I was devastated. I should have got the whole 75. She just kinda laughed at me I told her to keep the change because she didn't want to pay that. The bottom line is Minted is a shady place to work.i told her just to keep it it I was so upset after everything I did to get there and show up on time etc! My cleaners hasn't even started cleaning yet and I am already regretting choosing this company. I booked 2 people for a deep cleaning at window 8am to 10am. They arrive at 10:32am and literally sat outside and would not even come in. When u went out to get them they said they would need a walk through. Based on footwear. I'm not sure what to expect, slippers and socks. (Definitely not safe footwear) After finish the walk through she tells me it will take 4 hours to do the cleaning because even though I booked 2 people , only 1 is doing the cleaning and the other is only gonna mop the floor. So, it will take longer (they charge by the hour) my place is fairly small so I don't understand this estimate. Then she proceeds to ask me if I have tools for her (they didn't have any cleaning tools or supplies with them) in which case I told them I don't have certain tools they need. She tells me she will go to the car and check, only to drive off without a word. Until the company calls me and tells me they need to go to the store and get supplies. Their online booking is horribIe, and their customer service and communication is horrible too. I originally contacted them online and had scheduled monthly bookings for $200 ish. Then some one texted me and asked for the size of my house. I told them it was less than 2500 sq ft which is completely true. After this, I just happened to check the booking and they were going to charge me close to 380. When I asked what happened, they said they checked my house on Google, decided on their own that it was 4000 sq feet. This is the lot size, which they misunderstood to be the house size. (If you are playing detective on your own, atleast make sure your findings are right). No one bothered to inform me, so I would have got charged the extra amount if I had not noticed. I told them I didn't appreciate this sneaky behavior, and I didn't want my house cleaned by them. I thought that was the end of it. Today I got another email that they will be coming and cleaning my house, and I can't cancel this service w/o a $75 charge. When I called, the lady agreed to cancel, but said basically its my fault because I had booked monthly.
