When you crave sushi I highly recommend Mint. The crab and jalapeño poppers are a good starter, and you really can't go wrong with any of their rolls. My wife isn't a big sushi fan, so she usually gets the hibachi or Mr. James roll. I guess what I'm trying to say is... Mint has something delicious for everybody. read more

I love their sushi and have been to this location several times. My reason for such a poor review is that their to-go service is absurd. I have never not had to wait for at least 10 minutes to get my order after my scheduled pick up time. Today I was waiting for close to 20 minutes. The first time I went there I would have given it a 5 but the second time only a 3. The service is very slow. I went there for lunch and it slowly became full but not until I was done with my food. Mint is one of the better local spots, yes sometimes they can be a little slow service when busy but the food is spot on. They're nice folks and all....but the sushi just isn't all that great. Most of what they make, while unique creations, are generally heavily sauced and arranged on a plate decorated with light up cubes and other bedazzled knick knacks. The location itself is convenient off of 291, but, it's place in the strip mall works against the atmosphere they're trying to sell. By all means - of you eat there you're not going to have a bad meal. It's just not a place I'd take out of town friends to when sushi gets mentioned. read more

For a older strip center sushi joint off a commercial frontage road. This place is DAMN GOOD! Surprised the heck outa me, but 5 outa 5 times I've been really happy and full. I'll give 5 stars even though I ordered a Diet Pepsi and didn't receive it. It was a busy Friday night and our food was delivered quickly and it was heavenly. I will be going back once a week! We started with the crab stuffed jalapeños app and it was great. Spicy and sweet and creamy. Presentation was beautiful but a I ordered crazy monkey and my friend ordered playboy and they but everything in one plate even though it was separate order. I tried this place today and was pleasantly surprised! I pass by this place frequently and have always wanted to give it a try. Today I was wanting some sushi so I decided to stop in around lunch time. To my surprise, it was packed, and the restaurant itself was really small, REALLY small! The dining space is literally the size of a large living room. There is also absolutely no waiting space. My brother and I were seated at a table close to the door and it felt like the customers waiting for tables and to-go orders were practically breathing down our necks. The restaurant itself just simply doesn't have enough room. The service was fair, there was one lady taking table orders, seating customers, and dealing with the to-go orders; and a few more people delivering food and cleaning tables. It took a while for us to get our order put in; she forgot about us, and they also forgot about our soup until right before our rolls came out. There seemed to be a lot of confusion and disorganization between the kitchen and waiters. They would go to deliver food to a table and it would be the wrong item, so they'd just go table to table to find out who it belonged to. But as far as the food we ordered two rolls, and we absolutely loved the lobster roll! It was probably one of the best rolls I've had! Next time, I think we'll forgo the crowd and unpleasant dining space and opt for take-out. read more

The staff was very nice, the restaurant appeared to be clean, and the food is beautifully presented but man was it disappointing. In my opinion, this was not the best Sushi in the KC Metro area. My husband remarked that he's had better sushi from a grocery store. Many of the rolls we ordered were covered in sauces that to me just looked like unappetizing goop.
