I've been coming to this salon regularly for about six months, usually twice a month, and up until now my experiences have been great. The staff has always been kind and I've been happy with the service. However, during my most recent visit I was switched mid-appointment without much explanation, and the second tech didn't shape my nails evenly compared to how they were being done at first. That was already a bit frustrating, but what made me truly uncomfortable was when I went to check out. I mistakenly thought the tip was already included in the total (which is my fault, I know), but as I was leaving, the owner chased me outside and confronted me about not tipping. I explained my misunderstanding and immediately offered to tip, but being chased down and made to feel embarrassed in front of others was really upsetting and honestly, very unprofessional (especially since a tip is technically a voluntary gratitude). I hope the staff and management can handle these situations more respectfully in the future. Customers should never feel pressured or shamed, it takes away from what should be a relaxing experience. I will not be returning to this nail salon and providing them my service. read more

On a Saturday afternoon, I was able to find a salon that offered exactly what I was looking for, an acrylic layover on my natural nails. The set is decent, but flawed on details, shaping isn't crisp, and acrylic layover is uneven. The lady was nice, but acted like she couldn't comprehend when I brought up the flaws. Subpar quality for $130. They will never see me again, but I appreciate the last minute availability with no appt. 2 stars. read more

My experience today had to be the worse. I do not recommend you waste your money at this establishment. The lady doing my nails did not listen to anything I was saying she did my pedicure so messy and uneven I canceled my manicure appointment. She gave me 6 layers of gel polish on my toes which made it worse. I asked her repeatedly to file my nails square and she did the absolute opposite. Every time I spoke up she kept saying ok and proceeded to do her own thing. I am highly upset and disappointed in my experience. I haven't done my nails in years so I called short notice to make an appointment and it took me right away. It was nice and empty places nice and quiet. Ambience is great. Chose my color blue chair massage she did my nails very well, but the only thing I didn't like I asked her to do a design on the big toe she said yes, but she didn't do it. She sits me down to get my nails dry, but didn't turn on the fan, so I turned on the fan on myself, realizing it wasn't on. Not sure was was the lady name but I guess she had alot on her mind. I live within walking distance so this should be my go-to nail salon. But it's not. I've been here 3x, and all 3 times the man who works at the main counter has been rude and abrupt. The 3rd (and final) time I went he flat out told me they couldn't take me and instead of suggesting a better time, just wanted me to leave. The vibe in this place is just "off." The employees don't seem happy. I guess the mani/pedi itself I got was fine, but a nail salon is about more than just the manicure. read more

Absolutely love this place! Came in today after 3months for obvious reasons. All was smooth sailing for the most part, the first 2 choices I picked for gel were not stocked(Big bummer). Ended up with an okay gel color but better than the horrible CVS nail polish I had prior. As for Covid precautions, everything was done perfectly; temp check and sanitized before sitting. My biggest concern was the fact that there wasn't a working A/C. Sitting there for an hour in heat, it's like a breeding ground for bacteria. Very clean and the space is big, I don't like when some salons are small and then it feels cramped when they get busy. I will say I recommend making an appointment beforehand as they seem to be very popular and twice when I called to see if they could take me last minute/that same day they were already fully booked with appointments. Where should I begin. My original nail salon was booked so I thought I would try MINT. Bad decision. Esther is extremely rude and when I asked her a few questions about a gel manicure she drew a picture explaining the process. I've been getting my nails done for over 20+ years and have never been treated this way. After my second visit she drilled down my nails down to nothing and put just a gel color which left my nails soft, pliable and easy to break. My suggestion is run away from this place it's awful. I find their prices to be arbitrary. Today, they charged me $42 dollars for a straight pedi--no polish. Last time, they charged me $23. Hmmm. Prices seem a bit greedy. Terrible service, especially the Spanish girls who are just so mean to their customers

I have been going to mint spa nail for about 1 year now. I never had any bad times there although sometimes they could be a bit pushy. But today is the last day I go back. As I was about to leave after getting my nails done the owner approaches me in front of everyone and shows me my bill after I already had paid and tipped. He tells me that my tip is not enough! and that everyone gives 20% so If I liked the way my nails were done then I should give 20%. I was flabbergasted that he would ask me for more money! After raising their prices a couple of month ago by 15 dollars and now he is telling me how much I should be giving in a tip! It was rude and inappropriate to ask someone to give more money especially in the economy that we are in, you don't know the financial circumstances of someone. I will never go back as that was very unprofessional and I left very upset. read more

I just left from having my nails done. I have been here multiple times, this being my least favorite experience. I got a Gel mani and a callus pedicure costing a total of $69. Just over an hour total in time. Sadly it was far from relaxing with the phone ringing off the hook, a young child hitting a bell repeatedly and whining and there just being way too many people. The owner yelling over for customers to seat them at pedi chairs... Just not the experience I was looking for. My nails were rushed and I'm not happy with them. The gel mani is not even and some of the polish is heavier on parts of my nail. The callus remover was brushed off in a very short amount of time. Which is upsetting when I'm paying $10 just for that. I have been to the Grace Spa in Darien which I will continue to go to. I'm in Stamford which is why I wanted to go here, for somewhere closer, but the quality is just not worth it. I do not recommend from today's experience. read more

I came here for a pedicure and loved it! It was cute, clean, and my pedicure was lovely. 25 for a pedi and 35 for a pedi plus a callous scrub. I enjoyed everything about it. My toes came out great and the whole process took about an hour. The one thing that bugged me was that I paid about $45 total for a $35 service (so I tipped ~8-10$) and my pedicurist pointed it out. I said I could give her more if she wanted more, but then she got annoyed, took the bill and the pen out of my hands, and stormed off without another look. I wouldn't ding Mint a full 2 stars just because one person was a little bit abrasive, but I certainly didn't appreciate that. Am I in the wrong- do others tip more than ~8-10 for a $35 job? Anyway, could have just been the day or the person that I had, but if I did not have that unpleasant interaction, I would have given the place a full 5 star review. read more

DO NOT go here for the SNS Powder dip...spent 3 hours there & eventually just told them to take everything off & I walked out. The 1st try was streaky, 2nd attempt left my cuticles cut, powder under my nails & finger prints in the actually color. You don't need to sit under a dryer for this process & they placed fans in front of my hands. 3rd attempt was to clean them up, smooth them out...I couldn't stand it & just had them remove everything! Had the worst pedicure ever. GEMMA took "care" of me. I sat down at 5:43 and she was putting the nail polish on my toes 10 min later. I complained and she got all upset, and started to be sarcastic. My nails weren't cut straight, she cut some cuticles here and there, no file was used. I couldn't believe my eyes! She brought the check, I paid the bill and she came back very bossy asking for tips, but she left when I told her that she don't deserve them. While I was waiting for my nails to dry, 10 min later she was already putting the nail polish to the next customer. The customer wasn't happy neither. Was a bizarre experience.
