Min is the homie. Not sure which lady is Min, but every time were there they greet my bf and I (mostly my bf) with a really warm "Hi Honey, how are you?" We go about once a week, sometimes twice. Mostly take out but occasionally dine in when I want my tom yum fresh. It really is the best Thai in the area, when they are closed on Mondays its a sad day for us. This is my favorite Thai restaurant. It has been my favorite for over 15 years, and I have tried many Thai restaurants in the Northern Los Angeles area. I have made it a habit to eat at Min's once every month. As such, I have also gotten into a habit of eating the same thing every time: the Panang with wheat gluten, over brown rice. God, it's good! The kids usually split a Pad See Ew with tofu, which they love. We often precede the meal with the house salad with tofu that comes with a peanut sauce. Also delicious. Lastly, we all love the Thai Iced Tea here. I have never had it this rich and flavorful at any other Thai restaurant. The place is small, cozy, and very nicely furnished and decorated. The staff is family and they treat you like family as well. The atmosphere, service, and attitude make for a wonderful experience. I don't understand the other comments here about small portions, since we always walk away with another whole meal in to-go bags after filling ourselves on only part of what was served. And I'm a big guy. It is possible that some of the other dishes have smaller portions, but what I've seen them serving to other tables has never struck me as too small. Overall, I can't recommend Min's highly enough. I would give it six stars if I could. Heck, I'd give it seven. read more

This food is absolutely delicious! It really gives you that home cooked feeling! I really love spicy food and I asked if they could make the shrimp pad Thai spicy and they so kindly did that and gave me extra chili sauce on the side! So good, had the most perfect delicious flavor kick to it! My partner got the pork fried rice and the house spicy noodles with beef and he loved them! Big servings as well and the customer service is incredible! I will have to come back and try the sizzling beef soon! read more

Min's has been a consistently solid place to go to get my Thai food fix. The Tom Ka Kai broth is flavorful and well rounded. The spicy beef salad is definitely on par with some of the best places around. All of the curries are legit. The fried rides are good too. They even send crispy wonton skins home with my take out every time. Someone was complaining about that in a review I think? The owner is the sweetest lady and always welcomes me and my family with open arms (I have two small children. If you don't have kids, you can't appreciate this). The only reason I don't like taking food out is that I miss out on her warm service. I noticed people complained about it being a pricy place. This is a family owned business in the heart of La Canada. I am getting made from scratch Thai food and holy crap I almost forgot about the sticky rice desserts. There is a reason she's been around this long. If I have to pay a couple of bucks more to keep this going, I will. If you want to ingest cheap garbage there is a Mickey D's a mile up the street. read more

Food was just okay, and duck skin was soggy. Worst part was that they brought a noodle dish out for my two sons that had bits of aluminum foil in it! Worst pad see ew I've ever had!! It had no flavor, oily, and no bean sprouts or other vegetables except for 3 pieces of broccoli. We got the beef and my mother even asked what kind of meat is this supposed to be? We paid $2 extra for shrimp and got 2 pieces of tough shrimp! The noodles were not fresh..they were all, stuck together and terrible. I accidentally called my order in to Min's when I meant to call it in to Cibo Thai in Montrose. What a terrible mistake. All dishes from Cibo are fresh and popping with flavor. Min's even cost about 25% more than Cibo Thai. I called Min's and complained about the food and they offered me a refund so I drove back and returned the food. I still can't get that taste of old grease out of my mouth. read more

I came for the lunch uncommon takeout which was an exceptionally enormous segment at the cost. I went with the Pad Kee Mao (medium level zest) and it hit the spot. Delightfully zesty noodles, delicate hamburger, and a compelling sauce. I likewise attempted a couple of nibbles of the Red Curry and it was very great also. Tonight my girlfriend brought us shrimp Tom ka soup takeout. It was expensive for the amount of shrimp we got and there were barely any veggies; the mushrooms were the rubbery canned ones and the broth had too much sugar in it. The shrimp had no flavor. Would be acceptable for half the price. Worst of all she threw up and had diarrhea and stomach upset within an hour and a half of the soup. And it was $30 for two soups. Total Bummer. read more

Arrived around 7:30pm, on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. We were sat quickly and efficiently and our orders were taken as soon as we were ready! ::Yellow Curry with Chicken:: Delicious and full of flavor! It was a lot of food for me and I ended up pretty full but the bowl it comes in is pretty small. You are offered white or brown rice with your meal as well so that helped fill me up. The sweet potato and the potato were perfectly cooked. Not overly mushy and not under cooked. The chicken in this dish is white meat so it was very dry. Overall, I enjoyed the dish very much. If you don't to deal with the dryness of the chicken, I would suggest breaking it up and mixing it in with the curry sauce! Although it was empty when we got there, it became busy around 8/8:30pm. We found ourselves wondering if we'd ever pay because we never got the check lol. Sidenote:: The owner seems very outgoing as she was walking up to tables and having conversations with whom I assumed were regulars at the restaurant! That's always heartwarming :) read more

We don't live in the area but anytime we are in town we stop by Min's Kitchen. The ambiance is very comfortable and you feel like you are eating at someone's house. The food is really good, portion size is great and its kid friendly. You also know its a neighborhood favorite because people are always coming in for pickup and they seem to be regulars that frequent the place. read more
