Sadly the worst miniso experience I have had and mainly with the customer service. I walked in and barely made it in a few steps before I decided to ask a simple question. My question was clearly being misunderstood so I asked again but instead of letting me finish my sentence or simply listening to what I was asking for, the lady at the front would repeatedly interrupt and over-talk on what I was trying to ask by shutting me down. The whole thing was rude and made me uncomfortable and I left right away. I still had the decent to say "thank you" which she did not acknowledge at all. HR please come down here because it looks like other reviews are about the same worker(s). Would never come back actually.

Before heading to a Yelp Elite event nearby, I decided to pop into Miniso to kill some time and honestly, it was a pretty solid stop overall. This location is a bit smaller than some of the other Miniso stores I've visited, but they still had a good variety of products, and it was fun browsing through everything and checking out how the store was laid out. I even came across some blind boxes I hadn't seen at other locations, which was a nice surprise. Of course I had to grab one especially since I finally got to use my 20% off birthday reward for the first time! I'll admit, I was a little bummed because I had just missed out on their previous birthday freebie (a blind box up to $25!), but I still appreciated having a discount to use. Checkout is where things felt a little off. After giving my phone number for rewards, I asked if I could use my birthday coupon. The cashier asked, "Which one?" which confused me since I thought there was only one available promo at the moment. She then asked to see the barcode, and while I pulled it up pretty quickly, she started helping another customer and asked me to step aside. I didn't mind doing that at all, but it did leave me standing there ready to go for a minute. Once she saw I was set, she helped me at another register and finished the transaction without any issues. Overall, I wouldn't say the service was bad just a little awkward in that moment. I'd definitely still come back, especially if I'm in the Pasadena area again. It's a great spot to browse, find cute items, and pick up something fun when you've got time to spare.

I love shopping at Miniso wherever I go. I am fond of this chain. I was shopping in the area and I came across Miniso. Pasadena branch was very clean and organized. They carry Harry potter merchandise which I look for them in every store. They have many cute merchandise of Hello Kitty, Winnie -the - Pooh, and Lilo & stitch. They have a wide variety of snacks, beauty products, hair accessories, toys, cute tiny totes, stationary and more. The prices are fair enough. The staff were nice. I enjoyed shopping there.

Crazy . These people are insane. I sent my two daughters in there to shop tonight. We got there at 8:30 and I was parked outside waiting for them to shop. at 8:45 PM 15 minutes before they close I noticed that the lady on the register at Miniso had them locked inside. I tried to go in, they wouldn't open the door . The lady ignored me while I was asking her to open the door and she didn't open it until my daughters paid for the transaction. I had to slide my debit card through the crack of the door in order for my daughter to pay that's crazy. The lady ignored me the entire time. Can't believe I spent $167 there. They're lucky I didn't call the cops on them. They're insane. I should sue them to be honest. Wow

Ahh miniso! If you want to get lost in This in very cute shop and see what's new in anime + blind box toy + "kawaii" + plushie culture, this is definitely the place to go!! Before you even walk in, you get to see what the store offers, with ther huge display of plushies showing to the outside on the side of the store, and with figures, etc right on the front hear the entrance. They have so many ip's to shop from! Toys/figures/various other goods from western fandoms (Harry Potter, Disney, etc) to pretty much any Asian fandom you can think of (Sanrio, anime like JJK and Naruto)! I think there's something for everyone here. They also have a variety of snacks, Asian skincare, and more! Workers are very fun to talk to and are always there to provide a fast and smooth shopping experience! I got a few anime blind box toys, and will definitely come back to try some snacks and buy other goods!

i think this is my favorite miniso location i pop in here whenever i am in the area i was wandering around old pasadena to let time pass before heading to my next commitment it was sunday, so the shops did not open til 11am i was looking for the sanrio characters afternoon tea blind boxes i did not see any on the sales floor so i decided to ask even tho the answer would be no i asked the employee and he thought about it and said i think we do but it is upstairs whaatttt???? i am never this lucky!! he brought down the entire box, i wanted to set all 6 but no no i just couldnt i grabbed two, for my friend and i to open together the price was $29.99/each service was cool bc he was able to bring down the entire box parking: there is metered street ($1.25/hr) or parking garage starts at $1.00/2hrs

Sales Tax of July 2026 in Pasadena is 10.5% NOT 14.5%

SCAM! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! This review is only for the overcharge in sales tax.. current sales tax in Pasadena is 10.5% not 14.5%.. Their store phone number doesn't even work.. now I have to waste more time to figure out how to get a refund.. Unacceptable. I just read a previous review and the same thing happened to another customer.. wonder how long it's been going on for.. As for my in store experience, store was clean and organized. Customer service was good.

It's a small accessory and toy store located in the corner spot on Colorado blvd. The store is narrow and deep, racks are so packed inside. I found it's barely enough room to walk in between shelves, and mostly it gets jammed easily with other shoppers.

This is the worst one. Stay away from this store. I came into the store. And was not greeted by anyone. I was looking for a team member to ask about the wireless mouse. I was unable to find one and looked to see if the mouse had a USB input. The worker rudely came up to me and my partner and said if we open the package we have to buy it. And she said it with a very sassy attitude. I told her why I was doing it and she showed no interest and didn't want to hear me out. The packaging did not even say it was battery powered. When I told this to the worker. She said "it's on the box. Now put it back". I did intend on buying the mouse but decided against it because of how uncomfortable the interaction made me feel. She did not even say goodbye or tell us to have a nice day. I will not be coming back to this location and advise no one else go due to this very rude employee Turns out there have been previous issues with this employee. There's a picture of her below but I've also grabbed it to keep it circulating . If the Miniso Brand is complicit with hiring employees like this and keeping them regardless of the years of complaints. MINISO will be a brand I can no longer support.

I would give this place zero stars. I spent $200 on Sunday, I even received a few free gifts. I came to buy some gifts and some blind boxes for my daughter. The first one she opened was disgustingly dirty & used I cannot believe this happened. I live far and do not have time to go back.. Do not come here. FYI everything was sealed.

After Chef Tony's Dim Sum, Hello Gelato, and YiFang Fruit Tea (I know... what didn't we cover LOL), I wanted to bring my daughters to Miniso. Wow... what a lovely store, but hot as heck! I was expecting to walk into a very cool store... it was cool seeing, but not cool feeling LOL. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was out of commission. Bummer! It must have been torture for the employees to be in here their entire shift. At least for the customers, we can leave whenever LOL. They had 3-4 fans running, but that's just a waste of energy. You're not going to cool down such a big space with fans. Hopefully, they have fixed the AC issue by now. Anyway, we walked around the store. Saw some very cute and adorable stuffies. They have other things, too. But we were mostly interested in the plush toys. Well, my youngest daughter found some sort of chicken mushroom. So we bought the portobello mushroom chicken and the white pokey dot pink mushroom chicken. I called the portobello one "sargent" because it has that in charge look LOL. I don't resonate much with the white pokey dot one so no name for it. I used to collect TY beanie babies for myself many blue moons ago, but nowadays, whenever I buy plush toys, they are gifts primarily for my daughters or other family and friends. My girls have plenty of them plushies LOL. Staff was okay. Prices are as good as they get. Ambiance is just lovely... I love my pinks and lavenders. We'll definitely pay Miniso another visit the next time we're in Pasadena... just love their plush toy selections! Thank you Miniso for creating fun and soft stuffies. Happy Miniso'ing!

Rude employee who wouldn't let my 3yr old daughter give my phone number. Incorrectly redeems points and doesn't listen. Do better Miniso.

The most rude employee experience I have had. This employee asked for my phone number and when my 3 yr old daughter wanted to tell her, she rolled her eyes at me and stated "I asked you". I told her I wanted to redeem my points for a blind box card and instead of listening to me, rudely stated that I needed to spend over $10 (which I bought two snacks to reach) and redeemed my points for money off instead of the blind box card. When I told her she redeemed the wrong thing, she blamed me for it and said I didn't tell her about it, when I clearly told her several times and even showed her what I was talking about to explain the situation. This review though isn't even about the blind box. It is about the incompetence, ignorance and unhelpful behavior of this employee. What a poor representation of the company. What a failure to properly hire and train employees. I then asked to speak to her manager and the associate told me that the manager was gone for the day. But when my husband went back in to talk to the associate, who wouldn't give us her name btw, a shift leader, Marylin, magically appeared. As I was walking back in to talk to the shift lead, I could see the rude employee and the shift lead likely making fun of the situation as she has her arms up in the air and they were laughing. I went back in to talk to this shift lead, who was not responsive, wouldn't give me the contact information for any upper management, and wouldn't give me the associate's name either. I took a picture of this associate after her rude interaction with me and my daughter. I hope someone trains this employee better or writes her up and hopefully she gets some remediation in customer service. This is so unacceptable. Do better miniso.

The jewelry is handcrafted, and many pieces include the artist's name and a short bio, which adds such a personal touch. They also carry candles, bags, greeting cards, and products for men, women, and children. The variety is impressive, and I especially appreciated the large selection of handcrafted items. The associates are friendly, welcoming, and genuine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I noticed they recognized and acknowledged repeat customers. That's impressive, especially considering the number of tourists who visit the store. Another thing I appreciated is that they don't overwhelm you with emails. Their emails are event-focused and purposeful, which is refreshing. You're paying for quality, craftsmanship, and unique items you won't find just anywhere. The prices reflect the specialty merchandise they carry and the care that goes into selecting it. Parking... well, it's Pasadena! It can be challenging, with mostly metered street parking and paid parking garages nearby, but it's a pleasant walk to the store. I highly recommend Homage! The store was completely picked over--bare shelves, no stuffed animals, but a plethora of overpriced leotards and dance-like costumes. I guess somewhat understandable, but still disappointing. My daughter left extremely saddened. The second time we came (and also *paid* for parking), we walked to the entrance to find it--CLOSED (6/9/26)! I had to whip out my phone because why would a store be closed on a Tuesday at a day and time of normal operating hours? Another family with a little girl asked if we came to see the store and I said yes. She said they posted on their Instagram they were closed and were also saddened they couldn't go inside. I get that things happen but we live 1.5 hours away and made a dr specialist appt nearby and made sure to stop here specifically since we were finally close. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is. I don't go on social media to make sure a business is open that day. I *did* check their website and they were supposed to be open. From what we saw the first time around (picked over items) and what we could see through the glass the second time, we won't ever be coming back for a third time. The store is small, not a huge selection, but a higher price point for the same items found elsewhere. I told my daughter if she saw anything through the glass then I would just google it and buy it online for her. I would much rather support small businesses but it makes it hard when they don't really seem to value their customers. As I said, this store is quite small and doesn't have anything we wanted that we couldn't buy elsewhere. I wish they were better stocked the first time and had more employees to actually run the business during their supposed operating hours, but this just left my daughter devastated and me frustrated and angry the second time. We won't be back to be fooled again. Shame on us.

Many people who shop in Old Town Pasadena focus on the stores easily accessible from the main street, Colorado. However, some of the shops off the main drag, such as the ones on Holly Street, are unique and fascinating. The two Retreats do share merchandise in common. You will find a bevy of delightful greeting cards, jewelry and candles at both. However, I would strongly encourage you to visit both shops, because each has some items that you won't find at the other location. It was at this shop that I first saw the owner's, Diane, artwork on display. She's made a significant collection of gorgeous, shimmering mandalas. Since then, you will see more of her mandalas at both Retreat locations, as well as some of the pieces that evolved from her work with these pieces of sacred geometry.
