I came to Mini World after owning my car for 11 years and enduring a lot of not-so-good repairs that had me worrying it was not possible to keep my beloved 2005 Mini. Edmond is the mechanic I had been waiting for! Honest, quick, great at explaining and prioritizing repairs, he's restored my faith and kept my little car humming along! I needed my engine mount (completely collapsed) replaced, the housing on my theromstat (an ongoing issue) replaced, and the radiator hose replaced, the latter 2 the result of inferior parts from previous mechanics. I was notified within an hour of dropping off what was needed, the projected costs, and the order in which he'd advise getting the work done. His prices made it possible to do it all at once, and I'm so glad for that! He had all the work done in time for me to pick it up the next morning. My car has been running well since then, but just to make sure, Edmond gave me a call to check in and see how the work was holding up. MUCH appreciated. Will surely be back!! read more

If you own a Mini, you MUST bring it to Mini World for any repair work! We own a 2008 that was in dire need of a new transmission. The car would kick/jump extremely hard when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. I called four mechanics, plus a Mini Dealer and received quotes up to $9k to replace it. One of them said that it would take 12 days to repair! Edmund and his team replaced the transmission with a fraction of what the others charged and we had our Mini back to us within two days! There is a considerable difference on how the car drives, it feels like a brand new car! We live about an hour away and will only have Mini World service our car. Before you do any work on your Mini, give him a call. You will not be disappointed. They had me go twice for a leak detection pump that they said they had but then sold. The second time around when it came time to pay I was asked how much I was quoted over the phone and the guy pretended like that was not the right price but that he would let it go for that amount. When it came time to pay they only accepted cash so I left. I shopped around another location nearby and they gave me the same part (original) for twenty dollars less! read more

Best find after getting ripped off by Southbay Mini. I paid $900 there to get a problem fixed that didn't get fixed at all - my engine wasn't firing up properly. These guys charged me $75 for new spark plugs and voila - the car runs like its brand new! read more

We visited Mini World when the radio on our Mini stopped working. The dealer wanted over $1500 to replace it. We went to Mini World, and were blown away by the kindness and help we received. The man helped us troubleshoot which part we needed to replace, and even let my husband plug several parts in to see if each one solved the problem. After trying out three different parts, we finally found the one which fixed the radio! Without his troubleshooting ability and help, we could have easily spent hundreds more dollars to find the problem. Women beware; they will definitely take advantage of you. No communication. No respect. I had to call them every day, for 3 days, just to find out what was going on and they still never gave me a solid answer. Best answer I was told on day 3 was they were waiting for a part and would call me back within the hour to let me know if they could get it. Never called me back. Put in a "new" part that I told them I wasn't interested in (my car is Old and I did not want anything new going into it, they knew this). They didn't even call me to give me the courtesy of making the decision to put in the new part, when they couldn't get the part I was quoted for. Charged me $200 more than I was originally quoted for. The whole reason I took it to this shop was due to the price, and the fact that they deal with used parts, they knew this. They also wait until you get there to tell you that unless you are paying in cash they will have to charge you 10% tax. I guess they expect people to just randomly carry hundreds of dollars around on them. It would've cost me the same price to go to the dealership, except the dealership would've done more for my car's maintenance overall. Even if you don't want to go to the dealership, there are thousands of better shops out there. It also took an additional 3 days to get a receipt from them, which was shady. I regret taking a chance on this place. Don't make my same mistake. read more

Edmund and his crew at Mini World are the best there is!! They made our little mini better than ever after an accident. When we got our car back and it was like new..better than new. The time, effort and care that they put into their work is superb. Now, we unfortunately have had to deal with a lot of shady dealers/mechanics in the past and I must say I was a little weary at first, but they really proved me wrong!! I will NEVER take my mini any where else ever again! Prices are extremely reasonable and can't compare with any dealer out there. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and very helpful, even if you just have a question over the phone. Offers great and affordable service! We had to replace the oxygen sensor and the dealer missed diagnosed the problem. They told us we needed to fix everything else, but the O2 sensor. The estimate was thousands of dollars. Edmund knew it was just the O2 sensor under warranty and he recommended we go back to another dealer, rather than paying him for the O2 sensor!! He was right. I've been taking my base 2007 Mini Cooper to Mini World for over 5 years and have never had an issue with either the car repair or cost. Edmond is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to explain in detail any mechanical or technical issue while more importantly showing me the work that is going to be done to my car. Some replacements and repairs include, vacuum pump, water hose leak, valve cover gasket, engine seal, oxygen sensor, drive belt, front and rear brakes and of course, an oil change. I can't praise their staff enough. Most Mini mechanics in Los Angeles don't give the high level of customer service and attention that they do. Great work to the team over there.
