Mini Price Storage on Sewells Point Road was my first experience with storage units. After downsizing to a smaller home, I needed a storage unit. I called around to a lot of places and chose Mini Price because of their location, price, temperature-controlled units, and their friendly, helpful staff! Shanisha and Crystal are very nice and polite whenever I go in. The facility is well-maintained and well-lit. Even the other customers I see when I go to my units are very nice and helpful if they notice you need help lifting something heavy from your car! I'm very pleased with Mini Price Storage. read more

No hard sells, very clean spaces, and no hidden fees. Best of all, the gals (Nicole helped me and she was fab!) here are sweet and professional! What's also great is that I don't have any Internet at my place. No point as I will be deploying soon... but here, as a tenant you have FREE access to the business center...need to fax something...FREE!.. lock and key come with your rental and if you need a truck to move your stuff... that comes free too...ok. not exactly free. You got to take care of the gas. Temperature controlled! read more

Not only is the staff polite and professional but the location is clean and in operational order. This has to be one of the nicest storage facilities we have been to and we even recieved a tour of the location. This way we knew the storage we wanted was of the right size. This storage place was convenient for the location but poor on customer service. They usually have one representative doing walk-arounds and trying to run the front desk. Just be warned when they do the walk-around rain, snow, or shine you have to step outside. Multitasking is not there specialty. But, if you want a quality unit, this is the place to go. read more

This place was great in the beginning. Today they changed my opinion. My account is past due and I called to make the payment today using my dads credit card number since he is helping me out until I get paid but they would not accept the card and insists that he bring the card in with his ID. Well, he lives over 200 miles away and cannot do that. I understand the whole protection of card theft, etc. but I have used my brothers card before and my girlfriends card before and never had to do this. If you are going to abide by the protection law or procedure do it across the board not when I am trying to bring my account current and start to get my belongings out of the unit. I am beyond livid and want to make everyone aware of this. read more

The unit they first rented me was so clean you could have eaten off the floor. I quickly outgrew that unit as I was slowly moving out of my house and the process to move from one unit to the next was very smooth, again... very clean unit. The staff of Brittini, Desmond, Tasha, and Kirsten are wonderful and made you feel like family when you came in the office. The one things I really liked about the rental units is in each unit there is a steal brace wall and every unit has a wire type ceiling in it for security. Having rented before from outside units it was nice to know that in all corners of the unit were pest packages to prevent pugs or rodents and I can say I never saw one bug or mouse in the 2 years I rented there. The staff is constantly walking the property and picking up anything a tenant my have left behind. My favorite part is that the units are temperature controlled and even have music so I belongings don't feel lonely sitting in there. Mini Price Storage... you have a wonderful staff at the 1117 Valley Drive location in Norfolk and they deserve recognition. I was sad to have to say goodbye when I finally was able to move. In search of a reasonably priced storage unit for my precarious situation, I was connected via phone call to Ms. Rhonda. She did an amazing job at thoroughly explaining all of the available options that would suit my storage needs, and didn't miss a single detail or leave any questions unanswered. Not that after her explanation of everything left many questions in the first place, mind you. She promptly made a reservation for a unit for me at the Sewells Point location, and upon arrival, Ms. Hope did a phenomenal job at guiding me through a tour of the facility and discussing the best options for me to choose. On top of all that, both Ms. Rhonda and Ms. Hope were both wonderfully professional, informative, kind, and genuine. I honestly can't say that I've ever had better service from another storage facility in the Hampton Roads area, and I believe it would be a crime for their work to go unnoticed.
