Well, I wanted to love this place. So many of my favorite Chinese restaurants are gone. First - they did not pack some items I ordered & paid for online. Second - and this is a good one - when I opened the chow mien I ordered, it was just a pile of soggy translucent vegetables. No noodles, no sauce, no flavor! Nothing. I called them to say my order was missing items and asked them what happened to the chow mien. Their answer, " Chow Mien doesn't come with noodles or sauce flavoring! Just Bok Choi, onions & cabbage!" Holy cow. That is absolutely not true. Oh well - my search for a good Chinese restaurant continues. read more

Unfortunately, this was the WORST Chinese food I've ever eaten. The service was rude. We were finishing up our meal at 9:07 and they said, "Uh, we closed at 9." Needed a quick lunch and decided to stop by here after the place next door didn't take credit card. This is your typical Chinese restaurant with fairly cheap lunch specials, well under $10. You get white/brown/pork fried rice/, a soup, and an entree. It is quite filling and taste like typical take out Chinese food. I got the shrimp with garlic sauce. Only had four shrimps, but cooked well and a lot of veggies. It is nice that they had brown rice for a healthier option. The egg drop soup was pretty gloopy, so I didn't eat much of that, but overall a good experience. I think something is wrong with the address since the place didn't let me check in but the food was cheap good and etc. The fried dumplings had thick skin, moo shu had more cabbage than i wanted it to, the fried rice was good. A quick go to place for chinese food. They have introduced Seafood boil with 3 different seasoning. The seafood is fresh and seasonings are awesome. My choice is trio seasoning which makes the boil very flavorful. Its a non nonsense, straightforward place with touch less pickup. read more

Decent enough takeot for Princeton although if you're looking for a sit-down place, I would definitely head 3 stores down to Sushi Palace instead. I was ready to bash this place with a 1-star review - due to the fact that it took over 2 hours and 20 minutes to receive the small delivery. I gave them a call at the 2-hr mark and was told the delivery guy is on the way. It was a Sunday night therefore the "it's busy" excuse was not a good one. Once arrived, I made sure to check that food is hot and does not look re-heated. Delivery guy apologized and quickly accepted my request for a discount, and gave me $2 off of $16. (don't hate me, I did give him a 25% tip :)) Since the food was fresh and the delivery guy was nice, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and rate the food objectively. Ming's Garden did exceed my expectations, as the Princeton area lacks decent Chinese food for the most part. Though not good enough to warrant 4-stars, the price was right and the food is solid. The cold sesame noodles - a simple dish, was pre-mixed, with above-average noodles. Chinese Curry Chicken generally tends to be quite bland, but Ming's version of it had a pleasant kick to it, with properly sauteed crisp vegetables. Heavy on the onion, but still superior to many places around here. Finally the Beef Chow Mein was an interesting experience, as it lacked noodles. My significant other had mentioned this is sometimes the case, but I made sure that the description contained [white rice + fried noodles] before ordering. Though it was borderline mushy, the rest of the dish did beat my expectations while missing the noodle part. If I were able to, I'd rate Ming's Garden 3 and 1/2 stars -- the food was solid and I've paid too much for far worse Chinese in the area. Worthy of a re-visit if I am in the mood. read more

Food is decent. However there's been times I've called in an order only to have the forget, most likely due to the lunch rush.

Recently moved just outside of Princeton from northern NJ and have been trying several Chinese deliveries...by far this has be the worst. Delivery time was so long we had to call to check on our order which took well over 1 1/2 hrs. Ordered the basics for our first time: BBQ ribs: horrible loaded with some kind of red dye stained our fingers, fatty, under-cooked. Chicken w/ eggplant - the chicken was questionable for real chicken, chewy, stringy twisted pieces something. And a special shrimp dish that was mediocre at best. Also got Fried Rice that was bright yellow? Pre-paid with credit card and gave $7 tip - mistake for crappy delivery, spent over $50. Not sure why this place is getting such good reviews??? read more

They had too much onions which I actually enjoyed because I love onions. They can put a touch more chicken, but they give enough. Id go back again and try another entree. read more

My company bought us lunch. I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken and they did not give me the Sweet and Sour sauce which makes it very hard to eat because it is so bland. I went down to the place to pick up the sauce and they would not give it to me claiming I ordered from another resteraunt. My boss called in and the lady says she was confused. I guess she thought I was trying to get free sweet and sour sauce without purchacing anything. Unaware, my company went down and got the sauce because they felt bad.
