I called Semper Fi HVAC 1st when my AC went out & the technician told me it would cost $2700 + whatever parts he needed costed. I told him I was getting a second opinion & called EPS & they sent a technician out the very next day who was able to fix my AC for $750. That's over a $2000 difference! Since that experience I have used them many times for all the services they provide. They have a wonderful staff who actually care & when you call the office Amanda, Natalie, or Anna will take care of you (They even answered the phone at 9PM once when my AC went out at nighttime, incredible service!). From the Electric team I have dealt with Anthony & he is very knowledgeable, professional, & polite. He also installed some electrical outlets for my TV's for me & they came out great! They have had to crawl through my attic to install my camera system & my attic is crawl space only so it wasn't an easy job but they did it all the same. Last but not least the owners of the company are terrific people. I'm so glad I have had the blessing of getting to know them & they have made me a customer for life. If you are worried about the bad companies who will over charge you just because they can & you are looking to get things done for a fair price you should give them a call.

My home warranty assigned this company to come look at my AC unit and Advantage actually turned…read moredown the assignment claiming that it's outside their work zone even though it only takes 36 minutes to get from their business address to my house in Ahwatukee. 36 minutes. If they are all booked up and have no time then say so, the lady who called to schedule actually told me she would call back if she can squeeze us in bc there was a cancellation and the technician should be able to come but then she must've changed her mind bc the dispatch was then cancelled and we got assigned to another company that was 17(!) days out to get my AC looked at. This is unprofessional behavior to reject an assignment just bc they think it's too far. This is Phoenix valley people, driving 30 minutes anywhere is standard and 45 min- 1 hour is super common to get somewhere. So if you're looking for a reliable company, this probably isn't it if they're too good to take jobs for a home warranty company, then stop contracting with AHS. Otherwise, take the assignments you're given like a professional HVAC company. All the good reviews below maybe true, but at this point I'll never know since they won't even work their assignment on my AC.

I called Chas Roberts first, because they were listed on both of my thermostats and I knew they installed everything when the home was being built. The earliest they would arrive would be 7 AM tomorrow/the next morning. Sure, I could've slept in the part of the house that still had air conditioning, but, the main area of the house was just going to heat up more in the August-Excessive-Heat-Warning temperatures! I also called a few other places, but, I just got voicemail even though their websites claimed 24/7 service. When I called April Air Conditioning, Mike answered and said he could be out within the hour as he was finishing up another job. Within the hour? Absolutely! Mike arrived within the hour and went right to work, determining what the issues was (the capacitor had gone out) and fixing it. Within 2.5 hours of arriving home from work I had went from shocked to annoyed to concerned to relieved to a cool house. I would highly recommend April Air Conditioning - and will whenever the subject comes up with family and friends!

We called at 9am and Teresa said she would have a technician out by noon the same day. To our benefit, Nathan and his colleague arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule. They diagnosed our model of thermostat and knew exactly what needed to be done. Immediately they began the work and let me know it shouldn't take them long, and it didn't. After a couple of hours they had everything installed and working properly. Nathan only charged me the service visit plus a small amount for their couple hours of work. We were very pleased!! One minor issue was an hour after they left I noticed our upstairs unit had stopped turning on and no air was being forced through the system. I called back to Teresa and explained what had happened and she said she would have the technician back out in 30min, 15min later Nathan was back. Had the issue fixed in 10min and was back on his way; he did not charge us for the second visit. We were very pleased with the prices and level of service from Nathan, Teresa, and the April AC team!

I had to have I.C.E. come out on 2 separate occassions (one in July and one in August), but neither…read moretime was their fault. I previously had Parker & Sons service my a/c in March as part of my annual service maintenance agreement. Since I'm very vigilant about having my unit serviced every 6 months to keep it in good running condition for the coming season, I expected Parker to catch any potential "red flags" so I can avoid a HUGE expense. Apparently my blower motor, circuit board, run capacitor and low level fuse (?) was on it's last leg, but Parker failed to let me know that in March that those could be problematic later on if I let it go. Instead they told me about another minor problem that needed attention. That cost me $400, and it wasn't the motor, circuit board, capacitor or low level fuse. So here I thought I'm set for the summer heat. In July, my a/c crapped out. I called Parker & Sons around 10:30 pm, and the tech arrives at my house around 12:15 am (and I have to get up for work @ 5 am). He goes into my attic and 5 minutes later he says I need a new blower motor. He didn't bother to check the outside unit (I have a split system). Cost of a blower? $1099 because I'm a member of the Parker family plan. He'd have to order one because he didn't have one on the truck, then come back later in the morning to install it. Morning came, and I decided to called I.C.E. who originally installed my ac unit 8 years ago. I told Mark from ICE what Parker told me, and ICE told me they'd have to inspect it, but if it's the blower motor, they can replace it for less. Mark came by about 2 hours later and found out yes, the motor is shot, so he replaced it, but still no cool air. He went outside to check the outdoor unit and everything seemed fine. Then he went back into the attic where the new blower was, and later determined I also needed a new circuit board because the unit in my attic and the outdoor unit weren't communicating with each other. He had to order it because he didn't have it on the truck and that's not a very common part they regularly have in stock. He came back the very next morning and replaced the circuit board, leaving me with only 1 day without ac (I spent the night at a friend's place in the meantime). My friend thought I should consider getting a new ac unit, but Mark didn't think I needed one. I wonder how much Parker would have charged for the circuit board if they bothered to check. About a month later (right after the first big monsoon storm) my a/c went out again. I called ICE around 8 pm, not expecting them to answer because it was after hours. I was surprised when Mark DID answer. He put me on his schedule for the next day at 1 pm. I called him several times that morning that I probably drove him crazy. He showed up at 3, but at least he had the courtesy to let me know when he could show up. This time it was the run capacitor in the outdoor unit and a low level fuse (I'm not sure of the term...sorry) in the attic blew, which he fixed promptly. He felt that Parker & Sons sold me a bunch of unnecessary add-ons because in locating the fuse, he told me Parker installed a lot of other wires and he didn't have time trying to figure out where EACH wire Parker installed goes to. He knew he had to figure out where the fuse was because on the outside unit, that's where the problem was pointing to. I think if Parker noticed a potential problem with the motor and run capacitor (at least) back in March and warned me ahead of time, I could have possibly avoided having my ac breaking down in the summer heat. Bottom line, ICE is efficient. They're honest, and they show up when they say they will, even if they happen to be running a bit behind schedule. They'll call & let you know they're running late. They say they don't know how much time they'll spend at people's homes diagnosing a problem until they actually get there. They're not interested in selling you a bunch of add-ons that really aren't necessary, just to make a quick buck, or try to sell you something that makes your a/c unit look spiffy. As of this morning I called Parker to cancel & refund the unused portion of my plan. I feel Parker betrayed a family member.
