One of the best Chinese restaurants around! Wonderful and personalized service, delicious food, generous portions, and very inexpensive prices. Wendy, the lady you often see working the front counter, is super nice and memorized our orders early on. She has an amazing memory, and still remembers our complicated order even though we now live in Peterborough and don't get over there more than every couple months. She noticed that we're always thirsty, so takes it upon herself to get us an entire pitcher of water. The service is top-notch, and the food is just as good. Highly recommended. We love it so much that we drive all the way from Peterborough to eat there. Nice atmosphere, clean, and well taken care of. It's always hopping, which is a great sign for a restaurant. There is usually ample parking as most people get take-out. [UPDATE]: we've noticed the experience varies depending on the cook. Lowered by two stars since initial review in 2015. This is because the quality has gone down and you never really know when it'll be good or bad. Stopped going here for this reason. If you like the taste of caked on grease, never cleaned kitchen, and food that sits out in the open for long periods of time; this is the place for you! They recently (less than a year) moved locations and most people complained after the move that the food just didn't taste the same... This is funny, because the difference wasn't the way it was cooked, the difference was that they were finally in a clean kitchen and the great flavors I mentioned above needed time to develop, by not cleaning and letting their woks grow layers of grease. I did not like this place unfortunately. We drove a half hour to get there because it appeared to be the best in the area, so we were expecting big things. They don't have any beer or wine either, which would've helped. We got an appetizer combo - the boneless spareribs were ok, but pretty fatty, limp and bland. The crab rangoon was smaller than usual, sort of rolled up, and had a much different taste than I'm used to. Beef teriyaki, chewy and different tasting. I liked the chicken wings best and even those were a little different than I'm used to. And I've been around Chinese-food-wise. The pork fried rice was pretty good, a little bland but good with duck sauce. But the worst part of the whole meal was the hot and sour soup. It's been one of my favorites for over 25 years at many different restaurants, but I couldn't even eat this one, way too salty and again tasted (say it with me) totally different than I'm used to. If I could give less than one star I would. I have been a long time customer until last night. They made a simple mistake on my order and I didn't realize it until I got home. I called back and spoke to the owner about it. He was rude and basically went so far as to accuse me of lying. Completely unwilling to do anything to make it right. As a regular customer I couldn't have gotten past the mistake, but I can't forgive the rudeness of the owner. I will never be back and suggest you don't go at all! read more

As take-out places with seating go, this one has lots of room and a pleasant and roomy atmosphere. Check the photos. It's on the north side of the road and comes up rather suddenly if you are coming from the west. I ordered a luncheon special of chicken with green beans and a Coke. An egg roll was included at no extra charge. The total with taxes came to just over $10. I thought that was a little high for a luncheon special until it arrived. It was HUGE! OK, it 60% rice, but there was still plenty of the main dish, and they did not skimp on the meat. Usually the main seasoning for chicken with green beans is ginger root. It can be used lightly as a flavoring or almost as a second vegetable to create a pretty hot dish. In this case I detected only a trace of ginger in one bite. Back in ancient times, when Chinese restaurants were a novelty around here, I liked the fact that you got crunchy vegetables. In addition to interesting texture, the veggies were often at their flavor peak when lightly cooked. My green beans here were not buffet-limp, but they were well past their flavor peak. That and the lack of ginger made for a very bland main dish. The rice and egg roll were in the same vein. I wonder why more non-buffet Chinese restaurants don't go back to crunchy veggies as a selling point over buffets. Maybe there is no buffet in Hillsboro. Maybe the chef figures everything will be limp by the time you get your take-out home so that it's not worth the trouble. Anyway, my dish was big enough to feed two, which gets the tab down to $5, which is really cheap. It's an option if you are more interested in not having to cook than in a tasty meal. read more

Best local Chinese food! The portions are generous and the food is always fresh. The Egg Drop Soup is a terrific recipe, quite different from what you normally get. Singapore noodles are my favorite, just the right amount of curry. All the apps are spot on and good quality. Not really the place to stay and eat, set up like a fast food joint, but I don't go there to eat, just take out. For a small town, you can't miss. read more

Good food for a good price. It would be nice to have "real" utensils and plates though. One time I asked for ice to put in my drink and they seemed perplexed, like no one had ever asked for ice before. They went into the kitchen and came back after some time with a cup of ice, like they had to go to a neighbor's house to "borrow" some. Our absolute favorite Chinese restaurant ever. The food is always perfect... Great combination of moist, crispy and, oh so fresh... These chefs know their business. The cherry on top though has to be Wendy... She took the time to remember my name... Makes me feel like family when i call. She patient also... I always ask for extra bean sprouts and red sauce (sweet & sour) and she's never once called me the pain in the butt i am ;-) The prices are competitive and the wait time averages 10 to 15 minutes. I only ordered fried dumplings and pork won ton soup. The dumplings were okay, just very ordinary. But the soup was awful. It was loaded with vegetables, but the broth had no flavor except for a tinny after taste, so two sips was enough for me. And there were no won tons, only two dumplings instead. read more
