I hate leaving bad reviews on anyone, but seriously get your head out of the clouds, I have another word. Ordered on a call, 1920. X-Large Pepperoni. Was told 20 minutes fine I'm there and normally even tip. So I get there at 1940, waited as one person was in line and another walked in front of me, fine. My turn and was asked if I had ordered, I said I called mine in X-large and my name. No we have a "Tom," No my name is so and so and here is my number. Well, it says it is "Tom" and ordered an extra-large cheese. At that point "Tony" kind of was frustrated and the young lady/employee stood there and I said anything? And nothing...no apology, no we will get that for you.....nothing. This just leaves me speechless. And this is not something I enjoy and btw a few more minutes from past experience leave the pie in the oven.... that baby needs color and more bite on the bottom.!! read more

I walked in Friday night to pick up an order. A new (to me) woman was working the register. She had a nose ring and a scowl. I stood there with nobody else present, except for a man sitting on a bench waiting for his food. I waited while the cashier ignored me, doing nothing other than looking down at a writing pad. Since moving back to PGH, I've ordered from here about 10 times, and bought pizza dough from them about 15 times. It's a pick-up only place, but I always throw a five in the tip jar, and I've recommended their dough to every friend who has their own pizza oven. It's a good dough if you don't feel like making your own. When she deigned to take my money, there was a brief disagreement about overcharging me a minimal amount. As soon as I said something about being overcharged, the cashier began upping the attitude and raising her voice. She acted like I was beneath her contempt, and her self-involved life was too meaningful to be interrupted. (At this point, I still don't think she had looked at me.) What galls me is that someone from the back came out and began taking her side before I even spoke. I walked out with the cashier yelling what she must have thought were scathing insults to my back, all over a minor dispute about being overcharged by less than $3. And all to a customer who paid the entire amount anyway! Without any exaggeration, the disagreement lasted about 90 seconds before I realized it wasn't worth it. When she yelled at my back while I was leaving, I didn't turn around, but I did respond with her own words and kept walking. I feel foolish for allowing her to bring me down to her level. I don't mind curt people, especially if they are busy, like the "real" Mineos in Squirrel Hill. What is irritating is that this small, locally-owned store has a too-cool, angry narcissist who will treat you poorly, and they will defend her when she's clearly acting like she owns the world. The location may attract aggressive individuals who don't want to pay, and this is how they cope. However, this can't be good for business, and it's unfortunate to see. I did not throw a five in the tip jar. ** Caveat: I won't go back, but she and the person who enabled her have been the exception to my experience there. Anyway, if I change my mind, they won't know who I am because I don't think she ever actually looked at me. There are too many pizza places in Pittsburgh; go to a place where they treat you properly. read more

In a city that is not particularly famous for its pizza, Mineo's on Noblestown road is far superior to the others pizzerias. A place where a large pizza can be ordered and that's exactly what you get is a large pizza. The pizza was outstanding it was the best I have ever had in the Pittsburgh area. In fact, it held its own against the pizza world's D&Gs and Breezes including pizzas we have had while visiting New York and they were awesome. Pittsburgh's best pizza, hands down. Additionally, I thought the cost-value ratio was more than fair in an era where greed reigns supreme. Additionally, the service was second to none just think about the last time you visited a pizza shop and the staff held the door open upon exiting thanking you and welcoming you back in the future. The bottom line is we found the sausage pizza to be excellent and look forward to becoming a regular. Highly recommend this gem you won't regret the trip it was worth it. We are looking forward to diving into other food items on the menu in the future. read more

This place is my go to when I want pizza and I can't think of anywhere else to go. They are always quick and efficient. I've had pretty much their whole menu and my favorite thing is definitely the cheesy breadsticks, however this week I wanted to try something new and I was not disappointed. I got the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and it was the best I've ever had. Wanted to show this place some love because they don't have the best rating and I'm not sure why. read more

The food from this place cracks me up lol; Mineo's is a hot mess. I added broccoli to a pizza for $2.99 but apparently they only had enough to cover half the pie; thats kinda funny considering how much an entire head of broccoli costs at the grocery store. Lame. I also bought the Caesar salad for $7.99 and assumed it had tomato, onion, black olive, etc. I guess I made and ASS of U & ME bc its just lettuce, 2 cups of croutons and a teaspoon of cheese. This place is horrible, I do not know why I keep giving them chance after chance. Ordered a gyro wedgie tonight to fulfill my gyro craving because I was too lazy to head out to Olympos Gyros and rather stay in watching football. BIG MISTAKE. Their frozen shredded gyro meat actually didn't taste too bad. The amount was minimal though. You couldn't of filled a $4-5 gyro with the amount of meat in this huge $11.99 wedgie. The lettuce on it looked outdated, a lot of brown, and slimy. All I picked off and ate was the gyro meat & feta. A good $2.00 worth. Not sure where my other $9.99 went to. I made a New Years Resolution, never to order from this garbage overpriced place again. Come on they put Marzetti ranch dressing in containers so you think they made it. LOL. More classy than the packets they used to give out though. I walked in the person that was in there was talking with somebody at the front desk he saw me clear as day walk in she left he went in the back and nobody helped me and nobody cared. So now I don't care I would never go to this place on its best day I'd rather go to Pizza hut , or dog food than ever give a place like this my money. I've ordered from the other locations many times and never had such a terrible experience. I ordered online for a pizza and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders came completely RAW.. i didn't even notice until after swallowing the first bite. And apparently since I ordered online I can't get my card credited for the amount of the chicken tenders so I can only get credit on my next order. But I dont plan on ordering ever again so that's not helpful at all. Hope I dont get sick read more

Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and cheese (mozzarella) fries. The pizza had a disgusting amount of cheese. It was a layer of cheese, pepperoni then an additional layer of cheese making for a thick bite of straight cheese. I could not even eat the pizza because of this. The fries however were not at all layered. The mozzarella cheese was just thrown on top and resulted in one layer that just peeled off of the fries. The cheese was not at all incorporated. We were most irritated in waiting an hour and a half for this quality of food. We will not be ordering from here again, not sure what happened. It's funny how this place has a neon light that reads Pizza/Gyros and the gyro was bone DRY! It had a massive amount of lettuce to the point where you couldn't see the meat. We never received our gyro sauce and tried to charge us an extra $1 for it. They're prices are ridiculous and the food is horrible. They're pizza has entirely too much cheese to the point where you can't chew it. Never go here people save your money and cook at home, matter of fact go to Chic Fil-A! read more

Ordered well done with pepperoni. Pizza was not done, let alone was it "well done". Recurrent issue with this place, that's why I ask for well done. Haven't had issues up until now, I call and then they keep explaining how I am lieing to them ( to make it short ) and that this is the person that "personally" saw my pizza come out of the oven. It was RAW DOE. Offered to give to the driver and physically show him under the half melted cheese.. didn't matter.. Not ordering there again, they probably should have stayed closed when that minivan ran through the front of it, as they apparently can't tell when a pizza is cooked or not.. avoid this place. Raw pizza doe EQUALS salmonella or ECOLi. The pizza wasn't even warm when it got to my house, which is five minutes away.. that was a none issue at that point though, I didn't even mention it. Staying at the Radisson, we arrived a tad late to do anything but order in. The front desk handed us several menus and we chose Mineo's. We ordered Italian Wedding soup, a mini Pepperoni pizza, and an Italian Calzone. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was given the honor of treking down to the front desk to get my order. The pizza truly was a mini and had a mediocre taste. The crust, sauce and toppings were fairly flavorless. I went over to get some of the soup but I think there must have been a divorce before arriving since there appeared to be some missing items (meatballs) from the bowl. The broth and noodles had a decent flavor and were not overly salty. The calzone was burnt on top and so I abstained from eating any of it. My friend didn't have a smile. Thanks Radisson! Good greasy pizza great for munchies, meatball sub was fire....

My wife and I arrived to our hotel around 11:00 pm. We were hungry so we called Mineo's Pizza and ordered a Hawaiian pizza. It was delivered in 35-40 minutes and was warm. The pizza was in between thick and thin. There was a decent amount of toppings, but I always welcome more. Their delivered pizza was okay. I would guess that it is a little better when you dine in. read more

This is a Pizza Milano. I have no idea why it markets itself as Mineo's. The pizza was predictable. Starchy crust, bland sauce, stiff cheese. One of the only redeemable qualities was that they tried to make sure that you knew you were not calling the actual Mineo's. I have been getting your products delivered to my place for three years because it is of delicious quality. That being said: you lost my business after last night. I'm not sure why the delivery driver didn't knock on my door, and instead chose to try to reach me by phone (which was in another room), and resigned to honking the horn. I order a great deat of food from milano's on noblestown road. Their food is descent but one of their dwlivery drivers is the worst. He rings the doorbell and leaves my food on the porch and drives away. He doesn't even wait to see if anyone heard the door bell. My food is left outside to get cold. If he is so afraid to delivery food then maybe he should get a different job. All their other drivers are professional and give good delivery service. We ordered out from here recently, and it wasn't a bad pizza at all. We got a "works" or "supreme" pizza (I can't recall the exact name, but it had everything on it), and it was decent. Giving this food a one this evening is EXTREMELY GENEROUS! To say the least! I just don't understand how one waits for a single item for over an hour and it's cold. We ordered a white pizza with black olives and tomato how hard can that be you ask? Apparently it's a challenge! The pizza was so dry one could choke on it. The tomato's were not ripe and something was missing. The pizza had no garlic on it! One large white pizza was over $18 plus delivery. I'm not quite sure how most people tip the pizza delivery person but we always tip 30% due to the fact that if we like it we will be ordering from the place again and we always want them to remember that we tip well! Their food is decent and expensive but not the reason for my rating . I have been a loyal customer there for 35 years and at estimated 20.00 a week that's around 35000.00? I have had very few problems other than an impatient delivery driver or two. Here is the reason I will never spend another cent at any Mineo's or cafe Milano..... I ordered an family special and they forgot my 2 liter of pepsi , no big deal right . Call down and let them know. She says she forgot to add it to bill (which she did and I have receipt) so In order to bring something I already paid for it was going to cost me 3.00.. asked for manager and in so many words ... too bad. Asked when the owner was in ... "don't know " and hung up on me .. called cafe Milano (their flagship store) and asked for owner to contact me . Never did .
