No high chairs here. First time experiencing a restaurant without one and boy was it difficult with a toddler. They were nice and allowed us to sit at a table with our free yelp check in Thai tea while we waited 15-20 minutes for our 4 item order. Onto the food: Price is very reasonable. Portions for fried rice are enough to comfortably feed two people. Portions for their all day specials can only comfortably feed one person. Thai basil--chicken: I like how they let you to modify the spice level without sacrificing taste. We ordered mild and though it felt like they could have added maybe a few more chicken strips it was still pretty delicious: had a good kick to it, and had a ton of bamboo shoots and onion. I also love how it's saucy to the point where you can use any leftover sauce to make another dish with. Cashew nut chicken: love the sauciness of it and how it comes with carrots bell peppers and onions. Did feel like it was missing a few chicken pieces here as well, but both this and the above meal were part of the all day special that comes with rice, salad, and 3 potstickers for 7.95, so it's still a pretty good deal. The portion, price and food quality was very good . I think the owner AJ is still trying to get herself settled into running a restaurant , that is very obvious from my experience . I ordered the pumpkin curry , she brought out the pineapple curry . I didn't make a big fuss but thought she should have written my order down . Next the drunken noodles very very yummy . The Thai basil curry was just ok , I think the bamboo shoots made the dish a bit bitter , no garlic in the entree which I expect in this entree which I order often at other Thai restaurants . I been coming to Mine Eathai for about 4 years. It's a small quaint place that is tucked away in a strip mall. However, they absolutely have the best Thai food I've had in So Cal. We usually order the Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Kra Pao, Pad See Ew, Drunken noodles, Crispy Pork with Broccoli, and the Eggplant stir fry. You will love any of these combinations. The food is very delicious and the portions are generous while packing great quality and taste. I usually call my order in and pick up togo. The staff is always super friendly and genuinely very nice. The owner/cook is superb and always takes the time to come out and greet me. She always goes the extra mile by providing a free drink, mango, or something extra. I am extremely satisfied in the quality of the food and her ability to blend the various spices into a mouth watering explosion of taste. Parking does pose a problem for those who expect to park directly in front of the restaurant however if your ok with walking 30 steps it should pose not problem. Just tried this place today. I ordered the all day special spicy Thai basil with beef. I had a little side salad with ranch dressing as I was told the dressing was ranch was but it didn't taste like regular ranch dressing because it was water down. They have this all day special which also came with rice n fried potsticker. I checked in on yelp and got free Thai tea. The spicy Thai basil was a little spicier than I expected which I asked for medium. Well, it tasted real good but the amount wasn't that much. I got a lot of, I believe bamboo shoots,and a couple of red pepper and a lot of of oil on the bottom of beef. They need to use a little lesser oil. The rice is on the dry side, almost like not fully cooked. They should jasmine rice, it would taste better. A little more not too much water. Potsticker was good with the sweet chili sauce that came with it. I had ordered the pad Thai too, which has paler color to it, I mean it didn't looked orangish like other restaurants. But it tasted like authentic pad Thai. On the picture, you could see one piece of green onion on the bottom left side. I wish they have a little more green onion. Thai tea was on a sweeter side. I just wished they're not too sweet. Updated with new entrees. I went after work yesterday for the second time to try other foods here at Mine Eathai. This time I ordered pad prid king ( green bean dish), and ordered it mild because last week I ordered medium spicy and it's way too spicy for me. The sauce is very flavorful, but I wished they had put the sauce on the rice because the sauce spilled out and was wasted, I would rather have it on my white rice. I'm not particularly happy with wasting the sauce. The sauce could have a little spice to the mild. I wished they cook their rice not on the dry side. I got plentiful of rice compared to the amount of green beans that I got. And if the sauce was on the rice, the rice wouldn't have been wasted because the rice with sauce could be eaten with it like that, instead of eating just plain old dry white rice. Okay, next would be a dish I have first tasted from a Thai restaurant, it's the pad see ew. It tasted and looked like the Chinese beef chow fun with soy sauce. There's a difference in flavor though, with the Chinese chow fun it has a bit of more flavor to it. I think you taste the soy sauce a little more. All in all, I liked the pad prid king more. Would definitely get that again, but wished they put more green bean to it. With regards to pad see ew, I would rather stick with pad Thai. Now on to the salad, the ranch dressing was too watery. Not a classic ranch dressing. I just wished they would use a peanut dressing on the salad. The very first time I've tried Thai food many years ago, the restaurant had a medium thickness of peanut dressing on their salad and I love it. The fried potsticker was good. This would become one of the Thai restaurant I would frequent to more often, if they improved their rice and change their salad dressing to a more Thai peanut dressing. I've now ordered from here twice, and the food arrived early both times! My family really liked the egg rolls here, which they gave us for free :) they have thin glass noodles in them which makes then uniquely tasty compared to other Asian egg rolls. We really enjoyed the crispy catfish and the glass noodle salad here, so if you're looking to try something new that's what I'd recommend. I'm happy we found Mine Eathai. Support local business :) Ordered 4 dishes for delivery today, and they arrived fresh, well-packed, and early! Yelp estimated 50-60 min; we received our food in 30. Our delivery man was quite nice and had no problem finding our tricky address. The food was delicious, and the shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly. The papaya salad was a little smaller than most but still enough for 4 people. I only wish the pad Thai came with an extra wedge of lime. Prices are a few dollars cheaper than most Thai restaurants. I'm quite saddened that Chaba Thai has closed its doors. That being said, I had arrived to the location under the assumption that Chaba was still around. Being greeted by this new restaurant and being ravenous I thought I would give it a shot. Ordered: pad Thai, spicy fried rice and spaghetti Thai basil All items were mediocre. The pad Thai was pale. The rice noodles clumped together into little white balls. There was barely any discernible flavor because there wasn't much sauce to begin with. If you're a thai restaurant the least you can do is make a good pad Thai dish - it's the most ordered off the menu. Spicy fried rice- so dry, and stale. The rice did not feel fresh. Felt like they had it laying around for a couple of days in the fridge. spaghetti Thai basil - once again noodles were pale. No flavor. I will say the spaghetti was perfectly cooked so that's a plus. I won't be back to this location. They're prices are higher than Chaba yet their quality is quite inferior. Service was pleasant. read more

Love this little mom and pop thai place! It used to be called Chaba, but it's still really good even though it looks like management might have changed. Everything I've ordered here has always been really excellent and almost home-cooked quality, and I love that when I asked for really spicy but actually comes out spicy! I highly recommend the green curry or the eggplant dish or the tom yum soup :) The restaurant is teeny tiny with maybe 20 seats inside, but I've never had a problem getting seated at lunch with a small group. This restaurant is a gem! The pineapple rice is life changing (not to be dramatic). The green curry is delicious and creamy. Also the drunken noodles if perfect. I've been craving Thai food for so long and finally decided to give this place a try. It's located in such a small plaza with really little to no parking.. I went on a rainy day so it was so much worse :/ Pad Thai: 3/5 It was really bland. The color was more pale than yellowish-orange like other Thai places. Papaya salad: 4/5 It was a good portion and tasted good but too sweet in my opinion. Thai tea: 4/5 It was free with a check-in so why not!? It was good but this was too sweet as well. I have been going here since this placed open. Unfortunately it has really gone down hill when it comes to pick up service. When you eat there you get a great experience and food is fast and quick. When ordering through GrubHub for pick up and delivery that's a different story, it takes over an hour to get your food. It never used to be like this before. I have also noticed different people working so not sure if it's original owner or not. The last 3 times my order has been incorrect or just not great. I always order the Tom Kha soup and last time I got it they forgot to add the coconut milk. Tonight I got coconut milk but for veggies I only received mushrooms (in the past they used to add carrots and something else). My daughter wanted spring rolls and we got 1 lousy shrimp in each of them and they weren't even rolled correctly (see pic). My son then told me one of his chicken sates was not cooked all the way. While the taste was good on the Yellow curry, I was disappointed that it is about half the size of curry dishes I order from other restaurants. The entire cup didn't even coat the serving of rice, as there wasn't enough sauce in the curry. It's a family-run hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Cheap prices & really good food--I generally go for a less oily & less sweet palate, and they do a good job with making simple flavors that make you want to take a 2nd bite. Aka their dishes don't have too much going on at once, and everything that is going on is good. From the outside, the place looks a little run down though (It really fits the cliche look of a small restaurant next to a laundromat). Inside is well-kept, but maybe not a place to take new friends to if you care about atmosphere? Though you can always do takeout so I guess that's not a problem. This was my first time here. I had the Drunken Noodles with chicken. The dish was perfection in flavor with thinly sliced carrots, easy to chew, and other veggies. The chicken was not over cooked and was very tender and good. I shall return to try a fish dish, probably salmon, for the nutritional aspects of the fish. Don't forget to yelp for a free Thai iced tea. You'll need the sweetness of it to cool the palate, if you order spicy as I did, #3 was HOT, but not overly heated. Space is small and parking is busy from next door laundromat, but bring a load and enjoy a meal price Here again on Easter Sunday. Drove a few extra miles to visit, but it was worth it. Went during lunch on a weekday and the host/waiter looked too overworked. As my first time, I walked up to the register trying to order a bowl of pho and another dish. Before, I got to say what the other dish was, he asked if I was eating here and I sat down. I had to wave him over after he took the orders of another table that came in after me to place my full order. In terms of the dishes, I ordered the beef pho special they have as a dine-in only option and pad see ew. I didn't get to order the pad see ew to be spicy or not and it came out with no spice and too much sauce, so the rice noodles were too wet. Some of the best pad see ew I had were with crusted noodles that didn't have too much sauce. The pho bowl wasn't really pho (Vietnamese background). The broth was not clear light brown at all, it was white with too much particles (fat?). It didn't taste like a bowl of pho and didn't have the appropriate spices including star anise and cinnamon. Lastly, the free thai ice tea through Yelp offer was good, although there was no boba in the drink. I did ask this beforehand whether it was included or not when I ordered, so I knew it didn't come with it. Kept seeing this place on yelp. Went to try it today. It was good... Pad thai Pad see ew Basil chicken Crab fried rice Seafood fried rice Red curry (the togo could have been larger) For a local Thai place closer to home, I would like to frequent more. The fried rice dishes were good, not dried out or greasy. This would be my new local thai spot for now... $66 order and didn't get the egg rolls.
