I love this place! People are constantly asking me where I do my nails. Unlike many nail salons they stay open late even after hours! Mindy is the best at fill ins/ tips. She shapes my coffin nails perfectly every time. They also have a wide variety of gel colors displayed beautifully and seamlessly. And my pedicures always come out perfect no matter who does them: but Flo is especially good and favored by regulars. They are also very clean as they place a plastic bag in the pedicure bath and open up new supplies. Mindy is also very nice she has given me a complimentary face cleaning before & it was amazing! Very dishonest. I bought a groupon for $16 for a mani/pedi (which needed to be used before 4pm mon to fri...and its not stated anywhere other than the wall of the place) but no problem since I went on my day off & at noon anyway. I told the girl (not Mindy) i had a groupon & wanted a basic mani/pedi. Everything was fine until I went to pay...I pulled out my phone to show my voucher & she said that I couldnt use it because they did a spa pedicure. I said I wanted a basic..never asked for anything else. She said u didnt tell me you had a groupon...I said you're right I told your employee...we went back and forth for a while. It wasnt worth any more aggravation so I paid the $7 & will be calling groupon to voice my complaint & advise them NOT to do business with this shady place. read more

I purchased a groupon for a mani pedi and was surprised to learn that they close at 8:30pm which is definitely a plus. Street parking is available for all those who drive. Service was phenomenal. Ping did my nails and she was absolutely awesome and very friendly. She took her time with my pedicure and didnt go overboard with the cuticle cutting. On my way out of the salon I met the owner Ming who was extremely friendly and even provided me with some coupons for my friends to come during the week. This is the 2nd time I've came to this nail place. The first time it was great; the 2nd time, not so much. First, I made an appt for 9:45pm on a Friday night. They close at 11:30pm. I got there at 9:37 to be exact and wasn't helped till 10 which isnt not a big deal. I'm of Asian decent and I can 100% understand and speak mandarin but I didn't because they were speaking A LOT of smack about the customers. i came in for a gel extensions and a spa pedicure. first of all, ive never been to a place to get gel extensions and they use REGULAR nail polish. then when i said something, the owner said " you needed to tell me you wanted gel nail polish" wtf. i told her i wanted GEL EXTENSIONS. why would i spend the money to get gel extensions then want REGULAR nail polish. that was my number 1 issue with them. 2. the spa pedicure includes a foot scrub that normally costs $7 extra but the worker didnt know what the hell she was doing and they were in a rush to close that she "forgot" to use the foot scrub. when the worker realized, the boss lady spoke in Chinese and said, "forget it, doesnt matter". VERY dishonest way to conduct business. and she needs to hire people who actually know what theyre doing because the women who did a french pedicure on me, the lines were def NOT straight. i went there once prior based on a groupon but i will def not be back. they need to watch what they say to customers. read more

I've been looking for a great nail salon to go to after recently getting disappointed with my former nail salon. My friend told me she went to Mindys and they did a great job, I'm so glad I listened to her. I had such an amazing experience at Mindys. Lisa was the one to do both my tips and pedicure and she did such an amazing job on both that I will never go to anyone else again. I got a French tip design and I normally don't get French because everyone always messes it up for me and doesn't do it the way I like. Lisa however did my nails perfectly, she made the line for the French perfectly straight and all the same size and shape on each nail, the same goes for my toes. There pedicures are my favorite they take their time always and give 3 minute foot massages included in the basic pedicure. Love it! There prices are very reasonable and it is a clean place. LOVE this place. I just moved back to Queens and was worried it was going to take me a while to find the right place to get my pedi and acrylics done. This place is amazing. For only fifteen bucks I got an amazing pedi and wasn't rushed at all. The acrylics are done precisely how I want them and Mindy doesn't even hesitate to make it the way I want them. They have an amazing color selection too. I may live pretty far but this place is definitely worth going out of my way for. After waiting almost an hour to be seen (even though my friends and I had an appointment) one of the technicians started my pedicure AND THEN WALKED AWAY!! I think her friends walked in or something. I don't know. But I sat in the pedicure chair for over 30 minutes with no explanation. Finally my friends and I said something and they did my manicure. This WAS my go-to for nails. I went to one lady constantly, she would cut my ingrown nails just a bit but then she started digging as I kept returning. The last time she was just ripping off so much skin. I don't think she knew how to properly cut an ingrown, anyone else can do it. She cut me so bad that I wouldn't stop bleeding. Then on top of it my toe got infected. I will never come back here again. I'm sorry but that was too much. She could've just said oh I rather now do this sorry I don't want to hurt you. I have been coming here for about 5 years. Every single worker here is very friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure that you are satisfied with every job they complete. Mindy, nail technician and salon owner, is one of the nicest people i have ever met. Every single time i come in, with or without an appointment, she gives me the biggest greeting! The owner is here 7 days a week to make sure everything is running smoothly and her customers are satisfied! Flor, nail technician, usually foes my pedicures, shes very gentle and precise. She makes sure to communicate with all of her clients as well! Another perk about being a customer here, is the late hours! Mindy Nail and Spa is open till about midnight, sometimes even later on her busy evenings! I suggest making an appointment before you visit because she sometimes get very busy unexpectedly. Lucy is the best nail tech ever! I am so happy I found her. I have always get ingrown toe nails on my big toes and she has completely gotten rid of them and my toe nails are completely normal. It sounds way more dramatic (and gross) than it is lol, but she really takes her time and if you have any issues with your toes she will take care of them! read more

This place is great. All tools sterilized and even tub is clean. This is a roomy nail salon and they are even open late for u party gals. I never have a bad experience here. U get a shoulder rub after and a sugar rub on calves during pedi. Totally worth the price. $18/ a pedi. Mani is $10. I don't get why ppl go to Heart Nails. There is a long wait and i don't particularly understand what is so special about them, other than they open late on weekends. I love Mindy's. This rating is based on the pedicure I just received from Flor. I'm sick of getting horrible 10 minute pedicures with no effort into them. I was looking for a new place to try and decided to give this one a shot since I've never been here and it's in the neighborhood. I was taken immediately considering it was a quiet Monday evening. This pedicure lasted about half hour and she was AMAZING. When she asked if I wanted to cut them short and I told her yes, she actually cut them short!!!! I had a pedicure August 6 and two of my toe nails were still bleeding two hours later. The cuticles were trimmed way too close and this morning it was quite painful as well as pretty disgusting to look at. I will be making sure I put hydrogen peroxide on them to ensure I do not get an infection. Will not go back. read more

Honestly the only reason I come to this salon is for one lady. How is it possible that an owner can screw up time and time again. I called at about 3 in the afternoon to make an appointment with my girl and the owner told me she was booked all the way till 9:15pm, so I told her that was ok and I would come in at that time. I get to the salon at 9 and I see my lady is still giving a pedicure to another customer so I told her I would be back at 9:15. She proceeds to tell me that she still has about another hour with the customer who she is with now because she is doing a spa pedicure. You would think, the owner Mindy, would try and fix the problem but of course ignored the issue at hand and let me walk out even after telling her that she just lost a frequent customer. If she doesn't care about her customers, what the heck would make her think her customers would care about giving her salon the business when there are another god knows how many salons in the Whitestone area. Got the mani-pedi deal from Groupon and decided to check out this place with my sister and few other people. Saw the great reviews, but was extremely disappointed. The one thing I agree with others is that the place is clean. However, they did not give any kind of massage. It was a very quick mani-pedi. Anyhow, it was the lady in charge who irked me when I was paying. She stated to give her the tip and she would give it out. After giving it, she told me it was not enough (first time someone is telling me that) so I gave more. I had to rush out and my sister was going leave separately. Apparently when my sister was leaving, she told her that I never gave any tip and told her to give more. Completely messed up. And the rudest thing is when you start talking in Chinese and say crap about your customer and it's obvious. Also tip...try not to make faces like you're annoyed in front of your customer. My husband and I have been coming here for pedicures and massages for over a year now back when it was a different staff under different management. We continued to come here, after Mindy and staff took over but now I've had issues. First, I came in and sat waiting to be seen for 55 minutes they were busy, I understood, but a girl came in who THEY KNEW and they skipped me and took her right in. I walked out immediately. Secondly my husband asked for 20 min. massage. NO MORE THAN 20 MIN! that's what he always gets. I told the staff over and over again to make sure it's only 20, they ignored my requests, he was taken advantage at the fact that he fell asleep and was forced to pay for a 1 hour massage instead. Of course, they had no interest in me waking him, not even common curtesy to let him know the 20 min. finished. We are not going back. read more

Great service! MINDY (the owner) is the best! My job requires 40+ per week! I get off so late. I barely and rarely have the time for my nails. Which I love to get them done every two weeks. But she always waits for me, and I get off at 10pm. She takes her time with me dosnt Rush even if it's very late. I'm always satisfied with her service. Her spa has 5+ customer service. She's neat, she's clean, most importantly she takes her time. I honestly think the service here is fairly cheap. I love their pedicure.
