The spot is in the cut so if you're not actively looking you'll completely miss it. One of my girlfriends, Brittani, is a new nail tech here so that's how I was made aware of it. Once she confirmed that they're safe and accepting appointments it was a no brainer. I heard Brittani mention how lavish and luxurious the salon is and my sis wasn't lying. The decor is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the ambiance is just IT and the cherry on top for me....THEY'RE BLACKED OWNED! LET'S GO! Upon entry my temperature was take and I was asked to wash my hands in the bathroom. Love to see it. I then sat on their beautiful baby blue couch while my tech prepared my station. During the small wait the staff checked on me to see if I needed or wanted anything & allowed me to select my color. I noticed that each station has a clear plexiglass that separates the tech from the customer. Again, we love to see it. Once my station was ready the gel pedicure began. Courtney was my sis and she was just derailed, thorough, efficient and on point. Everything I need honestly. And it's like a full blown pedicure. The cuticles, the cutting, the massage, every single step was perfect. An employee walked around to check on everyone and offered water. I humbly accepted. Then the owner walked around and offered wine. YES MISS MAMAS! I will loudly accept! She poured all of us a plastic cup of red wine with the cutestttttt About Your Skin coasters. It truly is the little things for me.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO…read moreTHIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIFIC experience. My coworker and I booked this appointment over a week in advance which was a bad experience to begin w/. To book this I had to call repeatedly, there was no voice mail box or any indication that I was even calling the correct # and I had to email the website to get a reply for an appointment. We arrived for our appointments 5 mins early. My coworkers was at 1, mine at 1:30. At 1:50, the aesthitician came out to say she now didn't have time for my appointment and I'd need to reschedule. My coworker said to absolutely NOT reschedule as she actually stopped the wax midway b/c the aesthetician did not know what she was doing, used multiple types of wax, and didn't know how to finish the waxing. I called to get my money back from the site I booked from, which I was able to do. When I called the salon to let them know I wouldn't be back, the aesthetician gave me EXTREMELY personal details regarding my coworker private areas and told me I had a terrible attitude and she was GLAD I would not be coming back in, then hung up on me. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wax I got was thorough and the technician did not double dip. However, there is nothing, and I mean nothing, else to recommend this place. Points against it: Difficult to make an appointment. First they were booked up, then they only take Lifebooker a few days a week. Then Doris said an appointment I made was made "too far in advance." Took me three times to get an appointment. Decor. This does not put you at ease, it's in a dingy office building, there is a gross looking pink couch in the check-in area, the front desk was not manned by anyone and they share the space with a variety of other businesses. Space (More On Decor): I spent my entire wax staring at an awful water stain (an entire panel of the drop ceiling). This is not comforting. The room was dingy, tiny, and my leg actually hit the wall when I had to bend it for the wax. Painful: I would say this was one of the more painful waxes I've received. The technician (not Doris) never chit chatted. She also never introduced herself. She wore gloves that felt latexy and vaguely sticky, so if she touched a part of skin she'd already been over, it was more painful than necessary. One plus side on the lady who did my waxing: I will say, she did do a great job of asking me about the pain level, asking if I wanted to take a break, being reassuring. But overall, I'd rather it be less painful, your bedside manner won't make up for that. I have had less painful waxes, for sure.
