I met the Wax Divah at the Harlem Bazaar and felt led to book a Brazilian. It's one of the most beautiful spaces I've seen. The wax was so thorough and felt great after. I bought the turmeric scrub and ingrown hair serum. The serum is magic. My skin feels so great down there. I use it after every shower. Highly recommend. read more

I visited Tenika today for a Brazilian and underarm was. I was pretty confident that I'd have a good visit based on her reviews. She exceeded my expectations! I was very pleased with her professionalism and thorough work. Before we began, she set expectations and explained her process to make sure I was comfortable. Her suite has a tv playing 90's r&b songs (which I thought was a great touch!) so of course I couldn't help but sing along from time to time. Between that and the good conversation we had, I hardly was focused on the wax. She answered all of my questions and enhanced my knowledge a bit while I was there (which I truly appreciate). I was so pleased and comfortable woth both waxes that I also decided to get my buttocks waxed for the first time. The hard wax she uses isn't painful at all and doesn't pull on your skin, just the hair. I will definitely return. I'm excited to work with her on my skin care regimen for my acne scarring. I'm so happy to have this black woman owned business right in my own neighborhood! read more

You need to run here and get waxed! I had my first session with Tenika today and she was so kind, efficient, she explained in detail every part of the procedure, and it truly didn't even hurt! I've been getting Brazilians for years and this is the best one I've ever had. I was nervous because I hadn't gone in a long time due to moving and I couldn't believe how painless it was. She paid attention to detail and it looks and feels so good. Also her place is SO clean and beautiful. I'm now a regular! Thank you Tenika! read more

Very intimate and relaxing space that she works in. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and cannot wait to return for a vajacial.

This was the BEST waxing experience I had in my entire life! Tenika was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and warm. Her suite was clean, and she even requires that you remove your shoes before entering, after washing your hands in the restroom. I appreciate her checking my temperature, before we started. I received a toe, underarm and Brazilian wax. She shared the steps she was taking, what to expect, when to expect it and why she did everything. Although it was discomfort because of the nature of the service, my pain level during and post servicing was minimal. As a matter of fact I didn't feel any pain, discomfort, throbbing or anything post waxing. That was a first for me. Book her now, you'll be so happy you did. Tip! Book directly with her, she's worth it! read more

I had an AMAZING experience with Tenika. As this was my first Brazilian wax, it was important for me to find the perfect place so that I'd feel comfortable. After reading the reviews, I knew that this was the place to go and I couldn't be happier. She is very professional and personable. When I arrived she was very welcoming and I immediately felt comfortable. She walks you through the entire process and we had great conversation that I forgot I was getting waxed most of the time. She does a thorough job so trust me you won't find A HAIR leftover. I felt more like a friend than a client; I will definitely be back for sure!! read more

Amazing customer service, waxing skills, etc!! Had my first visit and she made sure I literally left with no hair. She took her time and always made sure I was comfortable. Also had a booty facial and it was so relaxing and I left with a super soft butt, lol! read more

Absolutely thrilled I found this place and shocked I didn't find it sooner. Location is very accessible and the actual studio is so clean, well lit, and very comfortable. From my first interaction with Tenika, I was sold. She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and so kind. She made the waxing experience as painless as possible, and that's something not often said about waxing. She creates her own exfoliating products, which I have tried and recommend as well. I am looking forward to booking other services through her. read more

Highly recommend Opulence both for waxing and homeopathic remedies! Tenika transformed my vagina with the vajacials, waxes, and peels. She also helped with my dry/flaky scalp by creating two homemade oil treatments. I've had dry scalp for over 20 years and now, it's all cured!! She's a gem. read more

I've been seeing Tenika for my waxes for nearly two years now, and I followed her to Opulence when she opened it. (I'll follow her anywhere she goes.) Not only does she give me the absolute best wax every time I see her, but she's so kind and makes me feel so comfortable (even through the pain of a Brazilian, which I should also note is actually not NEARLY as painful as it is at other places). She's incredibly skilled at what she does and provides a really fantastic atmosphere for what can be an uncomfortable situation. On top of all that, the actual room is pristine, her prices are low, she takes the time to make sure every hair is gone, and she also gets to know her clients. Go see Tenika ASAP! read more

Such a great waxing experience. Knowledgeable and patient. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a dedicated professional

Go. Here! I received a thorough and relatively painless wax. The owner walked me through each step of the process, showed great care with my skin and even allowed me to try some of her exfoliating and ingrown hair prevention products. 12/10 - I recommend! I'm two weeks out and I've already planned to go back. read more

I went to Tenika for almost 3 years when I first moved to New York I met her at European wax and although they're waxing techniques are basically in out as quickly as possible I always felt like tenika cared about me and my skin and doing the service currently, truly a perfectionist which is so rare to find! I trusted her and her opinion so much and it improved my skin tremendously! read more

I had first Brazilian here! Tenika was really nice, talked me through the entire process in complete detail. She cleaned up before and after, which I super appreciated to see. The place is spotless, nice music in the background, I literally can't ask for more. Definitely coming back. She is great read more

So, after searching for a place to get my Brazilian and not being satisfied with the cleanliness and ambience of a few places, I came across this gem! I'm no newcomer to the wax scene, so this was truly an exceptional experience. The salon is located in the Phenix Salon Suites. Her suite is clean, well lit, comfortable, and cute! My Wax Devah' was amazing! She was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and personable. She answered my questions and offered suggestions of products for my skin. She makes her own scrubs and made my own right in front of me. She was thorough and paid attention to detail. I wasn't left with ridiculous amounts of wax on my skin following. Unfortunately, I don't live in the area and I don't know when I'll be back, but I will be back and will continue to order products from her. BTW: She also does facials/vagacial, eyelash extensions, and has massage therapists on board who have 20 years of experience so, I'm sure they're great also! read more

I've been looking for a new waxing place and stumbled across this one. I was not disappointed! I was scheduled for a brazilian with Tenika and she was great. She was very thorough and walked me through everything she was doing step by step. The space was clean, and the engagement was not awkward at all; I felt very comfortable. This will definitely become a regular spot for me! read more

I found out about this place on Yelp! Like duh! I was searching for a good gel manicure place near me and it popped up among my searches. I'm so glad I chose this place because it's recently opened and owned by a really nice lady. I love supporting small and black owned small businesses. Unfortunately, by the time I got there her manicurist had left early for the day for personal reasons so I ended up getting a wax. Let me tell ya, this was ultimately my best wax experience. She was so kind, nice and considerate. She made sure I was relaxed and comfortable, and she consistently asked if I was okay. To top that off, she engaged me in a good conversation. We chatted like we've known each other from way back. I highly recommend this place! I came back again for my gel manicure but it turned out to be the day of her grand opening. Instead of leaving I was asked to stay, eat, drink and have fun with her other guests. read more
