I work in Murfreesboro and love to come here to eat. I have always had good service but there is one particular server who always goes above and beyond. Kobe always recognizes myself and my family and always gives us a tremendous experience! The food is very good but the service we receive keeps us coming back! If you eat here make sure to ask for Kobe Bryant! You will not be disappointed!! read more

I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard mixed reviews. Glad I went to check it out! I had crepes they were Delicious!! Welcoming atmosphere the wait staff was very knowledgable and friendly! read more

When mimi's first opened it was great and it has slowly been declining over the years and now I can say that I will probably never come back. The only thing that kept me going back was the food. The service has been bad for a few years now but my last visit pushed me over the edge. My boyfriend and I went to mimi's for an early dinner, around 5:30 or 6, they were not busy. We were standing at the front for about 5 minutes, probably 5 or 6 servers passed by us, some of them looking at us, some not. No one said hello or that someone would be with us shortly. We felt ignored and were tempted to leave right then but I had a bogo entree coupon that I was determined to use. Finally a young man walked up and instead of saying hello or how are you he just grabbed 2 menus and started walking and said to follow him. I had to stop him and say that we wanted to sit outside. So he showed us to the patio there was one other older couple out there. I think sitting outside was a mistake because it seemed we were forgotten about many times. It took a while for someone to come get our drink order and took another long while for them to bring them. We both ordered entrées and I asked for a salad to start (as an add on) so we waited a long time for the food, no one coming to check on us for refills. Finally the entrees come out but I had never received my salad, so I mention it. The waitress asks if I still want it.. obviously not now just cancel it. Anyway, our entrees were good but then comes the check. She didn't apply our bogo coupon, still had the charge for my salad that I never got, and there was a charge for peppers and mushrooms that were added to my boyfriend's french dip that he never asked for and actually had picked them all off. So we point that out to her, and she comes back with the check that still had the extra charge for the peppers and mushrooms. At this point we just paid for it because we wanted to leave and didn't feel like arguing with our waitress over a few dollars, but to me still was not right for them to do. We also over heard the other couple outside with us arguing with their server, they also had a bogo coupon and had asked why the coupon wasn't applied. The server said the coupon only works when you purchase 2 beverages. They had ordered a 20$ bottle of wine! Spending much more money than ordering 2 cokes but they still couldn't use the coupon? Overall I just think mimi's needs to get it together. Hire better servers or maybe up your standards on what you think is acceptable behavior from your staff. read more

I'm giving this place a 5 start because of my server Haley Gordon. Our food was good but our service was amazing!! I don't usually leave reviews but I just had to. Haley was great and was so sweet to my nephew who was acting up the whole time and even got him to calm down by talking to him!!! Hard to find good workers these days and Haley is one of them! read more

I don't really see the appeal of this place. I've driven past this restaurant many times but never really thought about going. Some co-workers planned a meeting here, so I had to go for the meeting. I will say one thing, the complimentary bread is delicious! But, everything else was simply mediocre. I ordered the orange crepes and thought "meh." It just wasn't very memorable. Also, how can a restaurant claim to be "Louisiana style" without a Muffuletta? read more

Friend and I went for brunch around 10am and there wasn't many people having lunch so it was nice not having to wait. Looked like they added more options on the menu for breakfast. I had the Ham and Swiss Crepes with roasted potatoes. Lots of diced ham in the crepes and seemed to be like it was tipped with white gravy sauce which added the flavor since the ham or crepe didn't. Could have serve more roasted potatoes with the dish since it was $13 for a plate. Overall the service and food was mediocre. read more

My family and I have tried to go to here two separate times and both times we had a horrible experience trying to get sat. The first time we came in asking for a table of 4 and they refused to sit us until the other couple walked in the door. We finally decided we needed to be sat because I was getting too close to the time that I had to leave for work so I changed the table reservation to 2 and they immediately sat us at a table for 6 PEOPLE and my sister in law and her husband has plenty of room when they finally arrived. Then today when we came in with a group of 11 we were quoted a 25 minute wait time, after 50 minutes of waiting we went to the host and questioned how much longer and even offered to sit separately since there were so many open tables and we were told they promised to have us sat in 10 minutes and 10 minutes later they still had done nothing to get us sat so we walked out. There was a manager/chef up at the host stand the whole time manipulating everything the entire time and not once ever came to update us on a time or apologize for so poorly managing the time they quoted us. I honestly felt bad for the host because the manager was taking all the control but not communicating with any of the guests. It was nothing but a terrible experience and we will NEVER be going back. read more

Took my daughter for breakfast and was warmly greeted by the staff. Our ordered was taken quickly. The restaurant seems very clean. I ordered the salmon omelet and a side of vegetables. The salmon was not small pieces mixed into the eggs but a nice thin slice of salmon inside the egg wrap. My daughter ordered the egg white veggie omelet with roasted potatoes-she said it was yummy. The serving size is very generous. Each order also comes with a muffin or various toast selections. The blueberry muffin smothered in butter is out of this world. Our entrees were delicious and the coffee was hot and tasty. The wait staff kept our coffee filled. The atmosphere is moderately quite. The restaurant is super easy to find and access. Mimi's is a great place to enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the Boro! read more

Really disappointing. Poor service. Average food at best. Two stars is generous. Last time I go there.

The food here was excellent and well priced, but our server Mandy truly made the difference, she is the best waitress, attentive, helpful, and friendly. Thank you! read more

2nd time this week I made it for their breakfast. I worked 3rd shift so getting off at 630am I wanted a breakfast to treat myself to with out the greasy mess. Today I went in at 9 and it was pretty busy but it's also a Friday. I had a very amazing server,Jenna, who made sure I was waited to right away. The food was fresh and amazing. The only thing I can complained about was those muffins! They were so good that I ended up buying 2 dozen and those were $18 a dozen. Lol but that was my fault. The staff was very friendly and I recommend this place if you want a fresh meal that won't leave you feeling bloated. Be cautious when you have those muffins though. Oh! And the fruit bowl was so fresh and sweet. Ask for Jenna she was really amazing. read more

Brunch at Mimi's was great. Our waitress MEL was awesome and very attentive. Fast service even though it was a busy day.

It's alright... If you enjoy the place, don't look at the calorie count on ANYTHING ... You can get a flight of wine. That's nice. read more

Our server Miel did a great job. She was very pleasant and provided our party of 4 with excellent and timely customer service. Thanks a bunch! Live the muffins and very good coffee! read more

Always ask for Mandy! She's been so good to my family!!! She provided excellent service on both occasions!!

Yes, Mimi's is a chain. It has a definite corporate feel, with the heavy-handed New Orleans theme and well-trained servers who have been apparently selected for their easy-going nature. When you go, certain things will always be a given: If it is your first time, you will be guided through the menu. Service will be attentive, but you will not feel rushed. Even if you put in the simplest of orders, you will be given time to relax and enjoy your company. When you are finished, the dishes won't be cleared, and you'll be asked if you need anything else. If the answer is "no," you will get the check and a promise that there's no rush, take your time. If it was your first time, after you meal you might be bribed to come back with free muffins to go. All these things sound so simple, but one of the benefits of a chain is consistency. How often do you go out and the service hits the mark every time? Oh, yes, and the brunch is delicious. Fills the niche for people who are looking for a nicer option than the typical bacon-and-eggs/biscuit/waffle/pancake place but less fancy than some of the weekend-only brunch spots in town. Chill with a girlfriend and a mimosa. They won't rush you out. read more

Meh. Mimi's isn't bad but I don't love their food. Been there 4 or 5 times. The muffins are awesome but all else on the menu is average at best. I brought friends from our of town recently and our food was very salty. One of us ordered a medium stake which was so overcooked it was rubbery :/ Go for the muffins and mimosas. Can't recommend anything else based on my experience. read more

Brought my husband here for his birthday bc he has never been here. They wouldnt do the crepe cake for him. So call if u want the bday freebie. Hopefully the food is decent. Its hella loud in here and smells a bit like urine. The waitress and great food saved this review. We were too full for desserts but maybe next time. Their chicken and waffles is perfectly prepared to a juicy crisp. read more

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the area.... My best friend and I drive from Lebanon and Mount Juliet to have your bottomless mimosas and the drive is so well worth it. Our server/bartender Amy today was delightful and the manager this morning kept us entertained as well. The entire visit today was awesome! Thanks!!! read more

Andy was a great server that I had in awhile one of the best experiences in the restaurant.

I haven't ate there in 2 years but the past few times I've went; the food is okay, the drinks are okay...everything was just okay. Not like "WOW" I need to come here once a week thing..just ehhh. read more

Highly recommend had Mel and she was great! The whole family went and we all loved it great service and an amazing atmosphere. If your looking for a good sit down breakfast with the family or a significant other while your here I would recommend stopping by! read more

We did a bit of shopping at the World Market and afterwards we decided to grab some breakfast. Since Mimi's was right there, we decided to go in and give it a try. It was about 10:30 AM and we were seated quickly. The place was moderately busy. We were seated at a booth and the table was supposed to be clean. It was sticky and did not feel or look very clean. That should have been the first clue. All they were serving was breakfast and the menu was not too exciting. Our server was, well, just OK. My wife had an omlette with a blueberry muffin and I ordered two eggs over easy with sausage and dark toast. My wife said the omlette was OK, the muffin was good too. My eggs were grilled on a flat top and overcooked. My toast had to be asked for (again) halfway through our meal. Sorry, I don't like establishments that aren't clean. Looking around it was obvious that glass doors and windows were dirty and even the front door glass was dingy and funky looking. We should have left right when they showed us to the sticky table. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place. Good management strives for a clean environment. I wonder what the kitchen looks like. read more

The service is awful... currently been sitting for almost an hour with one drink. The manager here is a joke, just keeps shouting at servers in front of customers. Just had brunch with a group at this place and I have to say that it was pretty good. However, there are some things that are severely lacking when it comes to service and perception. I enjoyed my breakfast meal, so I don't have many complaints about the food. it was cooked well and I got a substitution for the potatoes quite easily. The substitution was also cooked very well and I enjoyed it. Strangely though, when the server asked if I enjoyed it she didn't wait for my answer. She followed the question up immediately with saying that she enjoyed it. That seemed really weird. Now, where the service is concerned I do have to take into consideration that our server was one server for a very large group. We had about 13 people, and honestly, there should have been more service for group that large. She did a great job handling the group given that she was just one person. However, there were mistakes made that also weren't made by her, and weren't her fault. For instance, I ordered a specialty coffee drink that someone else was making. The drink took FOREVER to get to me. Everyone else at the table had their drinks, we had already ordered food, and I was still waiting for about 15 minutes to get my drink...and it still wasn't there. When it did finally arrived it was made incorrectly. I was told that the server rang it in incorrectly and that's why it was made wrong, so they "remade" it. When I got the second drink, it was still not right though, but it wasn't made in such a way that it would cause a problem so I went ahead and accepted it because I wanted a coffee sometime before the meal ended. But I ordered a cafe au lait made with heavy cream instead of milk. That is still not what I received. The issue I have with that is that when I got the bill I was stunned at how expensive it was. They don't have drink prices on their menu. If you look at the menu their prices for everything are listed...except for the drinks. Well, I should say except for the mimosas. They do list prices for $5 mimosas on the weekends. But strangely, they don't list any prices for any of the other drinks. So if you want a soft drink, iced tea, or a coffee - even one of the specialty coffees - you're kind of ordering blind. Yes, I suppose I could have asked specifically about the price of that drink, but I suppose I didn't expect for it to be as expensive as it was either. It really was sticker shock. I certainly wouldn't have expected to pay as much as I did given that I still received the incorrect drink, or at least I didn't receive what I actually ordered. If I had wanted a coffee with plain milk I could have ordered a cheaper regular coffee and put a bunch of creamers into it. But no, I wanted something specific. So this is why I'm a bit unhappy with my overall experience. It wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't a great one in terms of the service and the overall quality. I did have a fun time there though. I'd probably be open to giving this place another chance sometime. read more

Horribly long wait for our food. Approximately 30 min and we had to ask 3 times for part of our meal. We ended up taking the muffin to go. After another long wait we received the wrong check. We were unable to get our waitress attention so I ended up walking to another table to exchange the check. She was clearly busy and new but no one was helping her. Lunch was over 2 hours long and shouldn't have been. I doubt we will go back read more

Not bad, not great. Received ok service but the waitress was of course super friendly at the time of delivering the check. Had an issue with my order that was somewhat resolved. Parts of my meal were amazing, balanced with less than exciting sides. Great potential here but I will likely not return. read more

This morning I attended brunch with two of my close friends at Mimi's. Our server was very inattentive and very sarcastic and rude. Initially she took about 5+ minutes to great us after being seated, and as someone who also serves in the Avenue, I understand Sunday brunches get busy but it's important to acknowledge your customers. When we were greeted she seemed nice and brought us waters, and due to my lifestyle choice of living a plastic free life, I asked her to not give me a plastic straw with my drink by saying, "No straw please". She gave me a paper wrapped straw anyway which isn't a big deal as I assumed she just didn't understand what I had said, but I used my own reusable straw still. She came back and immediately was very sarcastic to me asking me why her straw wasn't good enough for me and started being rude to me and commenting on millennials. As I tried to explain to her why I didn't want one and that I had asked for no straw she tried to make me feel bad for my lifestyle choice by pointing out all of the trash that was around us like the paper napkins she had laid down when she greeted us and told me she was going to throw all of it away anyway regardless of if it hadn't been touched. Then when ordering, I ordered a veggie omelet and she sarcastically said, "how did I know" and rolled her eyes. The whole experience was extremely uncomfortable to not only myself but my friends. It was as if she thought she was being funny by being rude to me. I didn't appreciate it. Also my vegetarian friend's veggie quiche came out with bacon and after asking for the brunch mimosas which are cheaper she gave us the 'split' ones which we didn't know the difference of and charged us for those because they were more expensive. I understand my lifestyle choice isn't conventional, but making me feel bad about it and causing a scene because I don't want a plastic straw is completely uncalled for. read more

This was our first visit to Mimi's Cafe in several years. We sat at bar and service was very slowly. It appeared they were short on servers as people were waiting and we saw several tables open.
