Maine lobster roll (cold), captains lobster roll (warm)
    Susan L.

this is the first lobster shack u see once you get off the ferry at peaks island (right by the golf cart rental) so we saw a lot of ppl stopping by here grabbing a bite while killing time waiting for their rentals. the lobster roll was fine, nothing bad about them but nothing amazing either. we tried the original maine style (cold and fresh) and the captains style (warm with butter). i think i enjoyed the captains style more just because the ingredients seemed to blend well but they were both just regular lobster rolls to me. i'd rather spend the money at other spots just bc each roll is $30

Spent an hour or two biking around Peaks Island and ended up at the Ferry Terminal minutes after the ferry left. Grumbling bellies, I searched Yelp and 3 sub-par food options came up. Milly's wasn't one of them (wtf Yelp!?). So happy we stumbled upon this little food truck gem! The menu has everything from blueberry smoothies to burgers, lobster rolls, and tacos. They even have a veggie burger. We got two orders of the blackened fish tacos (they come 2 tacos per order) and they were perfect and delicious and pretty damn spicy! Plenty of blackened tuna and covered in shredded cabbage with siracha aioli. There's a great selection of tables and chairs. It's casual and it's good!! If you're in Peaks Island and hungry, definitely stop by Milly's Skillet. I hope it starts showing up in Yelp searches real soon.

The lobster taco was great, but the cookie sandwich was not. I've never had one before I didn't finish, but my cookies were very undercooked and pretty bland, I had about half. The 7 yr old I was with didn't like hers either - only had a couple bites, that should tell you something. The lemonade isn't theirs and the cups were pretty small. I guess just come for the tacos :)

Nom nom nom. Visited Peaks Island and made a stop at Milly's for lunch. It was so good. I was there with 3 friends and we all enjoyed everything that was ordered. I had a burger and fries. The burger was perfect and the fries were fresh. This place is close to the ferry so it was very easy to find.

Food truck conveniently located next to the Peaks ferry terminal. The "Captain's" lobster roll transcends the usual mayo-and-lettuce with a batter of hot butter and black pepper. Just perfect. The lobster roll and the fries came hot and fresh. The outdoor setting and view back over downtown Portland can't be beat. The Captain's roll is worth the ferry ride over just by itself.

Since you're on a small island with limited food options, you don't know what to expect. But this lobster roll was refreshing, buttery and packed with well seasoned lobster. Super friendly staff and a cute little spot to sit at while you wait for your ferry.

Out of all my food experience in Portland, Milly's had to be the most average of them all. The wait is quite long because it's right by mikes cart and the closest to the ferry. We got the Brussel sprouts, lobster roll and two sandwiches. I've had better lobster rolls in the area and the sandwich wasn't bad - just a little bland for my taste and could have used more seasoning. The brussel sprouts were too salty and we couldn't fully enjoy them but the presentation is very nice. It's a good option if you're hungry in the island but downtown Portland has much better food options. The staff is wonderful though and the sitting area is charming.

We got the lobster roll, Cajun chicken sandwich and a small fry. A $17 lobster roll from a food truck had me curious but when i got it i was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't on a tiny hotdog roll nor was it what i refer to as lobster salad (a few small pieces of lobster with a LOT of shredded meat filler). The flavor was delicious, the size was great and it was overflowing with giant pieces of lobster. The fries were good. The Cajun chicken sandwich was a little dry but good flavor.

Unkept unsanitary and extremely slow. If you have a ferry to catch do yourself a favor and walk a block up for a delicious sandwich.

I have strong opinions and I know what I'm used to eating when it comes to the "food of the Gods" as I call Greek cuisine. For that reason, I have waited a long time to eat at the Greeks of Peaks. I just did not want to be disappointed. Well, to be honest, I was NOT disappointed!!! The Greeks of Peaks serves up some really good Greek food with the requisite amount of lemon, oregano and familiar Greek deliciousness!!! Bravo to the other Greeks of Peaks!!! I will be back and I give it a strong recommendation indeed without any native Greek reservation! The customer service was friendly and good as well. Those women keep a smile on their faces while turning out some very good food! And all in a truck too! It is mind boggling to me that only 3 people can cook up such good food, serve it up in a friendly and fast way and create a happy dining experience, all while working in a small truck in an outside dining room. Okay okay since I am reviewing this establishment AND since I am Greek, I will have some thoughts on some things. The serving containers are too flimsy. They should be sturdier and, I think, larger. For the prices, I did want more food. But the cardboard containers soaked up too much of the dressing and the delicious oils - I was worried they wouldn't last through my meal. Also I did not like the forks at all. Please - parakalo - give me better utensils for my next meal with you! I look forward to many more great Greek meals with the Greeks of Peaks!!! And I encourage you to visit this very special place too!

So when I found out that Black Salt was out on national fried chicken day and they were parked out in front of one of my favorite breweries in Portland, my attendance was mandatory. I'd heard of Black Salt before and was excited to see what the fuss was about. Apparently the fuss about how good their food is 100% on the money. My entire experience was pleasant. The staff communicated upfront that it was going to take a bit longer than normal because they had just replenished their oil and it needed to get back to the desired temp. This issue was compounded by a few orders coming in at the same time. All is said, I appreciated the heads up and in fairness, the wait was still less than 15 minutes (enough time for a refreshment). In the end, the sandwiches were delicious, the buns had integrity (deliciously soft but strong enough to hold up while eating), and the toppings/sauces were out of this world! I will be back time and time again with friends and family and my fried chicken sandwich squad when they come to visit Portland! On a follow up trip to Black Salt, I got the chance to visit my wife while she was at class at UNE to enjoy some DELICIOUS fried chicken!

This is the absolute opposite of that. The owner of this food truck is incredible. He is passionate about what he does, and he wants to make his customers truly happy with his product. And he sure does. Vegan? Vegetarian? Gluten-free? Meat-eater? He's got you. And you aren't an after-thought. Cashew cheese? Homemade mushroom pate? Ghost pepper cheese? Carefully and perfectly selected vegetables to go with it all? It's unreal. It's affordable, delicious, and so thoughtfully put together. I hope this food truck truly succeeds and that everyone can enjoy what it has to offer. Portland's best.

In a chapter of our local food scene's history when everything is getting dramatically more expensive while contrarily portions are getting dramatically smaller and smaller -- The Portland Board delivers. I got the Vegan Vibes board: 1. *standing ovation to The Portland Board for having a plant-based option without having to be asked or reminded that we like to eat too* It's nice not to feel like an afterthought. Also, if you're gluten-free they can accommodate you too! 2. The price was super reasonable: $18, and (segue)... 3. The "board" (because I got mine to go) had SO MUCH GOING ON. I was actually delightfully overwhelmed by the generosity. My board had pickles and olives, homemade beet hummus, a homemade mushroom paté, a homemade wedge of cashew cheese, loads of berries and grapes and peppers and cucumbers and carrots, and a mound of crackers and bread. And, no, I didn't share. Because I like to feel full after eating something I spent money on (c'mon, new restaurants and other charcuterie board businesses: in the words of our freed girl Britney "give me, give me more, give more, give me, give me more"). Also that cashew cheese was *impressive*; I've been making my own nut-based cheeses for a decade and they're good, but this? This was exceptional. I hope that The Portland Board is able to keep their current prices and their portions in this ever-changing, ever-demanding, ever-weird chapter in our food and beverage's history.
