I ordered 2 ovens and a warming drawer from Millman's. I chose them because I wanted to buy locally. The sales person Rose was helpful. Although I was told the items were in stock when I ordered them it took from the beginning of August when they were ordered until the beginning of November to have them installed. If I hadn't called them numerous times and pushed they still would not have been installed. One of the ovens had a ding when it was unpacked. I had to call an email numerous times to confirm that a new door has been ordered. They only returned my calls an emails when I told them I was going to file a complaint with the BBB. I purchased an on sale item (Lg refrigerator) back in June 2020 it is now mid September and still no refrigerator. I was told in August that it did not clear the New York warehouse, which now I am questioning where these are coming from. I'm aware that covid may affect times, however they have my money already and I have no product. We really feel the need to comment in the continued horrific service at Millman's.... 4 years ago we purchased a set of their highest end kitchen appliances and have multiple issues with not only the appliances but the sad, ignorant and most unhelpful customer service. Again this past week we've had appliance dysfunction and called the Millman's service department. Barely had the time or energy to listen to our complaints, demanded $185 for a service call up front for disrepair of the appliances! Then undisclosed repairs as applied. We cannot express our complete dissatisfaction.... I had Milllman's Appliance do a service call to fix my refrigerator in August. They came out for 5 minutes. They did not open the back of the appliance. They say they needed to order a part for the refrigerator. I called about the ordering the part. They never got back to me about how to get the part. I then did some research on the internet. One site told me cleaning dust off the condenser might fix my problem. I did this myself and the refrigerator has worked well for the last 3 months. If they had bothers to open the appliance, they might have been able to fix my problem. I tried to call them to tell them that I had fixed the problem myself without their help and did not need any parts. They did not answer my call. 3 months later Millman's charged by credit card for a part. They did not contact me about ordering the part or charging me for the part. They never gave me the part. They did not even schedule service with me to install the part. They also do not answer my calls to find out about the charge. I never plan to do any business with this company again. It is sad that a person with no experience with fixing appliance can fix a problem better than their service people. They also do not return calls. They also charged me for a part that they did not provide, I did not order and do not need. read more

I was looking for a replacement and Rose took my measurements over the phone and found a model on their showroom floor. In less than 24 hours, they delivered and installed the new refrigerator. Anyway no big deal they have a guy who can is=nstall but I must pay him separately and Millmans will refund my installation charge. I am being charitable with 2 stars. There is good and bad with this company. I bought my appliances a year before they were needed, due to builder delays. Millman's came very highly suggested by my builder. Rose was fantastic. Pat and the delivery crew were very nice. The person who I will not name that coordinates delivery has no business working with the general public. The day I ordered my appliances it was known that they would be delivered to a beach house on pilings and that the kitchen is on the 2nd floor (2 flights up). We discussed the likelihood I would need to pay for a lift. Different crews were at my home literally 5x. One day it was too windy and the railing was not yet installed on the stairs (I understand the safety condition here), 2nd time crew refused again to go up 2 flights, so I paid for the use of their lift. Lift guy got here and wouldn't even try. 4th time they did carry the stove up so I could get my CO. Then they told me I have to hire a crane for the rest of the appliances. They brought the microwave, and I had my kitchen installers drill appropriate holes per specs. Millman's installers insisted they holes were incorrect and refused to install microwave. My builder's project manager did it himself in the existing holes. I did get a crane for the fridge, dishwasher, and washer. Dryer arrived damaged, so they had to reorder and delivery guys had to hoof it up 3 flights of stairs. I felt bad for them, but Millman's couldn't coordinate delivery of a matching dryer when I had the crane. The office delivery coordinator got so nasty I had to tell the company I would no longer deal with her. I had to escalate to get credit for paying for their lift, when they couldn't deliver the appliances. The crane cost twice what the lift did. This company came highly recommended by my builder - in fact they almost insisted on using them. Aside from Rose's and Pat's professionalism, I wouldn't recommend Millman's Appliances to my worst enemy. read more

Ordered a stackable washer that was compatible for my dryer. I was sold that the washer I ordered was compatible until it was delivered. They offered to tape the dryer to the washer but recommended only if there were no little kids in the house. We felt it was unsafe. We decided not to and had to have the door reset to open out. In the process of delivering the washer they ripped the vinyl floor. I posted a review and was called asking if I would remove it and told they would reimburse me for the vinyl. I removed the first review. After numerous emails and phone calls to see where the check with no return response I received a call from Gary who I am being told is the owner. He was rude from the start and I explained what was happening only to be told I am a liar and that his staff would never sell me a stackable without selling the set. Gary seemed to get involved not knowing what happened from the start. His salesperson sold me the unit assuming it would be stackable when it wasn't. He was "trying" to educate me after the fact. He was one of the most rudest owners of a small business that I have ever spoke to. He even sent rude emails after I ended the phone call with him. I can only imagine how he treats his staff with the way he spoke. His salesperson even called me during his abrasive emails telling me that they did offer a solution. The solution for them was to tape it. We didn't order an appliance to be taped. Rose knew it was sold in error but still back peddled to cover their lies. Only good thing I can say is he send me the check after weeks of reaching out. I never would have posted this review but after Gary calling and emailing me I feel all should be aware. Had to call today about arranging service (which might have lead to a new dishwasher purchase). I dealt with two of the nastiest service reps I've encountered (one said she was a service manager) and they have little interest in assisting customers, nor ability to provide timely services. Would like to have supported local business, but sales dept has been a complete disappointment. Ordered a freezer in April, sales rep Rose said there was delay because of Covid and freezer would not be available until May, although she took my check and deposited it in April. I never received a call to keep me apprised of progress. I called in May and was told it would be there in June. In June, I was told it would be July, in July Rose said "you are at the top of the list" but to wait until August. In August, she "couldn't tell" when the freezer would come in. Yesterday, I got my money back, went on ebay, ordered a new name brand freezer which was less money and larger size, available for local pickup, and have the freezer in my home today. In all fairness, Millman's did replace a burned out heating element in our wall oven last year, and I was satisfied with the technician handling this fairly mundane job. However, if you are ordering a new appliance that you wish to have or use during this century, I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

We are repeat customers of Millman's. I read some pretty bad reviews online. They didn't jive with our prior experience, so we decided to support this locally-owned family business again. I am happy to report that we had another great experience. The microwave Millman's sold us (along with all of our other appliances) 14 years ago needed replaced. When we went back to Millman's on Monday, Rose was there to help us (same as over a decade ago). She had our records and within 15 minutes had found an available match. They don't have a showy showroom, but they have Rose. She found us a replacement and lined us up for installation just three days later. The owner Gary's son Camden (whose other job is the ambulance crew at Rehoboth and sometimes Lewes) came today and did a great job. He removed the old over-range microwave and installed the new, without disturbing our backsplash. Millman's appreciates their customers and we appreciate them. read more

Do not purchase anything at this store- I am waiting since 9/30/20 for a replacement handle for my stove which they damaged along with my countertop when they delivered the stove. The countertop was fixed 2 months later but no word on the handle. Our family has been customers for decades. We will NEVER patronize this business again. They had two appliances delivered to my 70 year old mother's home in Rehoboth in the height of a pandemic with NO MASKS. She told them she was high risk and asked them to put masks on. They went right on doing what they were doing, no masks. When she asked again, they said they don't even HAVE masks. When she called the office, she was told they don't wear masks and clients should wait in another room during install. A. That was never told to her before installation, B. That is NOT an acceptable substitute for masks. Never, never again. That is completely ignorant and disrespectful to the health and well-being of your clients. Goodbye Millman's. read more

Bought a Dryer in July. Was delivered and installed in early August. When it arrived it shut down after a few minutes of heating. They took it back to repair. After a week of hearing nothing i tried calling only to get voicemail which was full so no messages could be received. I ended up going to the store and was told they would check and call me to let me know. A few days later received a call waiting for the part. At the end of August I attempted calling with the same result going to voicemail and it again not able to take messages due to it being full. I finally reached someone and was told the part was in and would be repaired. I called a week later and was told they were still waiting for the part. Finally after several weeks , mid September, I received a call saying the would deliver between 1 and 4. After not receiving a call why I did not receive it I called and finally got their voice mail.I actually threatened to go to the AG since I was so upset with their service. Finally at 7 PM that evening I get a call the are on their way. With nothing but excuses and lack of response their is no way I would ever buy another product from them or recommend them! read more

On September 27, 2019, we arrived to our home in Lewes DE for the weekend to find out the refrigerator had stopped working. We called Millman's to request a service call. The refrigerator was not purchased at their store. They were extremely booked, however throughout the day kept me informed and finally around 4:30 a technician arrived to our home. He was wonderful and worked quickly to assess the problem and fix the frig. Great service and when we replace the appliances in our home we will be heading to Millman's. read more

Last December the motor on our clothes washer burned out. We had guests staying with us for the holidays so we needed to get a replacement right away. We went to Millman's where we had been a customer for over 30 years, to see what they had in stock and would deliver quickly. We liked the Samsung washer and dryer they had on the floor. They told us that was the only one they had. I noticed the dryer had 2 dents on the top panel and mentioned it to the sales person and was told the top would be replaced at no expense to us. She placed the request with the service department while we were there and noted it on our invoice. The service guy told us the replacement top would be in and installed in a few days. We bought the units and they were delivered in a couple of days....we were happy! Well, it's been over 7 months and the top has not, and probably will not be replaced. As a matter of fact Millman's told me Samsung will not permit them to replace it. So, I called Samsung, told them the story and the rep said it was Millman's responsibility to replace it and there was no restriction imposed by Samsung. The rep also mentioned that Samsung would do the replacement but it would void the dryer warranty since it was considered damaged.....we were not going to do that. I contacted Millman's, gave them the info from the Samsung rep. and was told the owner would be in touch with me.....that was months ago. So after multiple phone calls and emails with no response, it's obvious that Millman's isn't the same responsible, family owned business we experienced in the past. As mentioned, we're a long time customer, in fact every major appliance we currently have has been purchased from them. We've lost our trust in them and they have lost a good repeat customer, because they would not honor a commitment they had made to us. But I doubt that matters much to the owner who is now enjoying the increased business & profits associated with the 1000's of new homes being built in Sussex County. My husband and I have dealt with Millmans for over 25 years. My last purchase was in July 2019 when we purchased a GE refrigerator. That was one and a half years ago and as of today we have yet to get the icemaker. The one in the refrigerator went bad within a month. They ordered another one and it was defective so they order another one. Same problem. They finally found out they were ordering the wrong one. I keep calling and get no answer, leave a message and get nothing in return. I really do not like to do this but I am to my wits end. If someone does not answer soon I think I will have to seek legal help over a stupid refrigerator. Have known the current owner for many many years and he will not speak with me. In the mean time my husband passed and now I am left alone to fight the good fight. I have read so many complaints about Millmans and I kept passing them off. No more, the service is terrible. We are quite disappointed in our experience in purchasing a new washer and dryer Samsung set from Millman's. It has been almost three months since our appliances were delivered with scratches on the door of the front loading washer. Several calls were made to Millman's with no response. Only after leaving a negative review on Facebook did I finally receive a call from their sales representative who said she would report the damage and asked that I change my review which they removed from their FB page before I had a chance. The service department requested I sent pictures of damages even though their installer took pictures at time of delivery. Three months later, after two visits, multiple calls (phone usually not answered), discussions with owner Gary, repair still has not been made. Their only excuse is lack of communication from Samsung. All I expect is returning my calls and updates. So disappointed that we paid a small premium to give the local company our business. We won't be doing so again! Beware purchasing from this company. When they don't have the staff to even answer/return calls I hate to see what their service (which we paid extra for) will be like. read more

Our 3 yr old Bosch refridgerator died, yes in the middle of this pandemic. Folks have you tried to get a repair or new fridge lately...don't suggest it. If it wasn't for Rose at Millman's we would be on week 4 without a fridge. Big box stores are way out in delivery and other local stores literally wouldn't even be bothered to check "any" inventory. Rose heard our plea, advised, found stock and had it delivered in the time frame that worked for us. The 3 delivery men Derrick, Aurb and Shawn were like the Eagles front line. They carried out the old, installed the new and were a breath of fresh air in an industry and country that has forgotten customer service. If that wasn't enough they offer an amazingly cheap extra service promise for under $10 that covers you for 10 years on compressors & service it. Does it get any better than this? What a horrible experience it has been dealing with Millman's and their manager Patrick. Awful customer service. We ordered a washer and dryer in the beginning of August. We paid by credit card and were told it would be two weeks until delivery. After two weeks still no appliances or phone calls. I called and spoke to Patrick and he told me it would be the end of the month. Into September and still nothing. Phone calls, emails and texts went unanswered. After texting a request to cancel my order Patrick returned a text and blamed the whole thing on their phone system. He also informed me that there is no expected delivery date and they will arrive "Whenever". I felt this was unacceptable and still wanted to cancel. Patrick said they would find replacement models for what we ordered. Ok, that could work. After a week of no callback I again requested to cancel the order and refund my credit card. Patrick responded that they would not do that I'm stuck with the appliances I ordered and will take them when they get there. Apparently the assembly lines are have been shut down for months according to Rose who did call and apologize for the mishap. I still want this order cancelled and a refund issued to my credit card. If I had known that there would be no reasonable expectation of delivery in the beginning I would have gone elsewhere and would still have done business with Millman's in the future. That boat has sailed. PS Follow up to my post. Patrick and I are working diligently to resolve this issue. Covid has been frustrating for all and changes the way things get done. Terrible customer service and complete lack of communication. If you don't buy your appliance from them, they don't want to service it or assist in any way. So, when I need new appliances I won't be giving then new business or referring my friends who are looking for high end appliances to them. My friends always trust my opinion. I've been in customer service my entire life and know that this team needs support on education. No follow ups, no return calls. That is not how a business should handle a customer. After my first review, Patrick from Millmans Service department responded with a call to try to help. He explained they had a new phone service that initially didn't work, but that it's fixed. I waited a week and called again, and was able to reach him right away. My $3000 refrigerator is still waiting for parts and I will keep you posted. I bought the machine from Millmans originally because Patrick was so helpful in trying to resurrect my 3 year old ($2800) LG refrigerator and he was the only reason I purchased from Millmans to begin with (they are located 45 minutes from me and there are others closer who are actually friends). But Millmans has the ONLY LG Tech in Sussex County - ANOTHER REASON TO NEVER BUY LG IN DELAWARE!!! We purchased seven appliances from Millman's because we wanted to shop local. There was a part missing on our stove and one of the burners was not working correctly. We were promised that this would be rectified, but it never happened. We were told by Sharp Energy that one of our gas burners was a safety hazard so we have not been using it as we await the part needed from Millman's. Millman's has told us a variety of reasons for its bad or nonexistent service. We were told several times that there were changes in employees so that there was never anyone there who knew what we were talking about, and once we were told that they had been trying to contact us, but we never answer our phone. Months have gone by and I am giving up. Anyone who wants to shop local, think again. I am disappointed to have to leave this review. read more
