I cannot say enough about Joannie. She went over and above the call, of duty when none else would at Millman's. She worked tirelessly to make sure we were able to get a new microwave oven / refrig- freezer that Millman's could not fix. We paid next to nothing to receive these items. We had our own contractors install these items the right way and now after months of no microwave or freezer we are good to go. Thank You, Joannie I will never forget your hard work. I purchased a dishwasher several weeks ago and never heard about the delivery as I was told someone would contact me. I kept calling scheduling and customer service, left several voicemails with no call back. Finally, I called sales and got a live person who would give my message to Sam. He never called me back so I called again and threatened to cancel my order, then he called me back. He said they are down a person and delivery would probably be in 2 weeks. Ok, at least I had a time frame. However, I received a voice mail yesterday saying they would be delivering the next day between 10 am and 4 pm and that I would receive a call 30 min prior. So, today, I never got a call 30 min prior, I got a call when the delivery guys were in front of my door and I was not home! So the delivery guys said they would return in the afternoon and I said that would work. They called me prior, asked if I was ready and I replied yes. Eric and Eric arrived and did an excellent job of installing the dishwasher. They were kind, polite and very efficient at their job. Can't say enough about the Erics, but I can say that I will not be buying from Millmans again after being treated poorly with their poor customer service and scheduling. read more

Millman's seems to be a part-time / lifestyle business where employees show up randomly or not. Selection is good but the service and delivery is horrible. Absolutely horrible. We ordered a stove and hood and paid for this along with the LP conversion that was needed. No word on the order for a month. Another month goes by - nothing. Called - told me that the LP conversion is done and that they would deliver it on May 27. It is now June 12th. Contractor was there all day waiting and no one showed. Called to see what happened - can't find the order that we paid for in February! Seems to be run by a bunch of clowns. Go elsewhere. Save yourself a headache. read more

I posted a neagtive review of Millman's here last week due to service issues. Patrick, the owner responded and I spoke to him at about 10AM. By 1PM I had the issue resolved and a stove and a washer were on their way Wed,, thanks to Patrick and Rose, the sales manager. Delivery was a breeze by two great guys, Donny and Michael. There was a problem installing the dishwasher due to the floor and Donny arranged a call from a man within Millman's who will fix it. Millman's follow up after sales is very poor. Upon installation of the new appliances, the refrigerator did not fully function and the dishwasher was damaged. It took 4 months and more calls too numerous to count to get the repairs completed. Do not buy your appliances from Millman's unless you are prepared to make constant follow up if anything is amiss. read more

My dryer died on Wednesday... On the recommendation of the bartender Brendt at my job at Nicola Pizza , went to Millman appliances on Thursday, about two miles away from the job...and went IMMEDIATELY next-door to their sister store Blem as in blemish, as in tiny scratches and dents and appliances half off, if not more, so... So quick and painless... For an additional $78 bucks, Rick, Aaron, and Malik were at my home by 9:15 Tuesday morning-barely 5 days later... Dropping off my brand new GE dryer, installing it show me how it worked and hauling away my old one... They even gave me time to clean behind the dryer lol... Professional courteous guys... The whole process was unbelievable compared to dealing with Home Depot or Lowe's etc. etc. oh and by the way the dryer? $399 I had to ask the gentlemen to actually show me where the actual "blemish" had occurred.... read more

Upon the recommendation of our contractor we purchased all kitchen appliances from Millman's. While they were helpful in helping us choose our appliances our interaction soured very quickly. They encouraged us to purchase everything right away to advantage of manufacturer rebates. We did this only to discover that they didn't place the order in time for us to qualify for the rebates despite our having paid in full. Then they charged us for installation which was complete by our contractor and 4 months out Millman's has yet to refund our money. We have called and emailed only to get no satisfactory resolution. A year ago, I moved into a new home, with that came the need for a new suite of appliances. I contacted Logan at Millmans with my needs and my budget and within minutes, I had everything I needed which exceeded my expectations. When it came time for delivery, I realized there had been a miscommunication with my contractor and provided an incorrect date to Millmans, naturally, I called in a panic. They assured me they'd fit me into their already busy schedule and that is exactly what they did. Under the thoughtful and particular eye of Gary himself, my appliances were installed perfectly and we were able to start putting them to use immediately. Fast forward a few months later and the LG dryer we purchased was making an awful noise during its normal cycles and was not drying clothes properly. I contacted Patrick and he immediately connected me with someone to schedule an appointment. The gentleman came, discovered a crack in the drum of the dryer that was likely always there and merely exacerbated by our weekly use. Less than 3 days later, I get a call from Patrick telling me he's sending two guys to deliver a new dryer for me. The two men came a few days later, unhooked the broken dryer, hooked up the new dryer and were on their way in 20 minutes. Both were polite and very professional. When it comes to appliances, no other store exists for me. I recommend all of my family and all of my friends to Millmans and will continue to do so. read more

We redid our Kitchen after 25 years and replaced our countertop with granite and replaced all appliances. i was referred to Milliman's from a friend after I mentioned I assumed their pricing would be higher than box stores. We went in and found the pricing to be the same if not better plus a higher quality of products.. They also offered a 10 year warranty for one time cost of $8.95 on each appliance. I had purchased a Miele washer and drier from Millman's. I had paid for a model that was over $200 more expensive than the one delivered. After MANY nerve-wracking calls to Millman's they finally admitted their error. When the."professional installers" delivered the machine they did not move it in as per manufacturer's instructions. (I had owned the same machine when I was living in Pittsburgh and was very familiar with not only this, but what was supposed to be included with Regis new, high-end brand and model.). Red flags included the fact that the automatic detergent dispensing supply jugs were already installed and no jug of cleaning agent was included. Further, the plastic wrap around the instructions and other documents had been torn open. I suspected that this was a used machine, but health problems prevented me from objecting to the rather aggressive delivery staff. I felt intimidated by them. Over the past number of months, the level of detergent in the self-dispensing jugs has not been depleted, indicating that I have been washing clothing with no detergent. Calls to Millman's to report this scam by their staff have gone unanswered. read more

I purchased a dishwasher earlier this year from Millman's. Unfortunately, the unit did not function properly from the beginning. After a couple of service calls, Millman's agreed to contact the manufacturer and was able to get a new replacement dishwasher for me. The new dishwasher was installed today by Aahron and Malik, who did a great job removing the defective unit and installing the replacement dishwasher. During this time, I have had the opportunity to speak with Millman's Sales, Service, Scheduling, and Installation staff and they are all knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I would like to thank Millman's for taking the needed action to obtain a replacement dishwasher for me and I will be sure to use Millman's for all my major appliance needs going forward. My purpose in using Millman's to start replacing appliances in my 14+ home was based on reviews and a desire to not deal with the "big box" stores. I wanted help with sale and products as well as installation that I could trust. I'm hoping to also avoid the shuffle of looking for service when that need arises. My experience with Millman's has been mixed. I have needed a washer/dryer, followed by a stove over the last 6 months. Initially, my washer was not working at all and Rose in sales was instrumental is helping me pick something that was in stock and could be easily obtained yet had the features I wanted. Washer was delivered and installed within 7-10 days from purchase, and the dryer (which was still functioning) was delivered a few weeks later. Installation was simple and old units were hauled away. During this period of time, I experienced the sudden demise of my oven, I had the stovetop that still worked so I wasn't in a desperate mode. Ordered May 10, told to expect delivery set up beginning of June. Great - we could make do. This is where the rails started to come off our experience. In the beginning of June, I started calling and leaving messages on multiple people phones trying to find out a delivery date. No answers, no returned calls. Unable to call and talk with anyone, always sent through the phone tree. So I resorted to email and used the website to send messages. Rose from Sales picked up on one of my messages and called me to ask me what was going on. She listened to my situation and didn't just transfer me to someone else. She finally was able to tell me that the stove was on backorder from the manufacturer with no known date of availability. At that point, I was very frustrated and she suggested we start to look at what other options were available and met my needs/wants. So for a few days, we emailed back and forth, but nothing was quite what I wanted. i received a call from Robin who was very sympathetic to my situation, telling me that a request for an answer from the manufacturer was still pending. Then about a week later, I received a call from Joanie (I think), telling me that it would be on a truck by July 11. Great. I could wait for that at this point, to get what I wanted. Unfortunately, it took about 10 days and repeated phone calls and messages before I heard from anyone to schedule installation. I had had a great experience with Don and John installing my dryer. They had looked at my house and kitchen and assured me there would be no problem getting the stove to the second level and the old one out of the house. I had to wait four extra days to have the installer be Don and John, the stove was delivered, installed and tested on July 29. I think Joanie must have worked some magic to make that happen, I'm not sure. That experience was fabulous. The men were careful and meticulous with moving items to prevent damage to my wood floors and stairs, they tested and demonstrated the features of the stove and ensured that it was working properly. They adjusted the gas burners so that the flame type was correct. I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. My issues with this experience fall primarily with lack of communication and unable to talk to any human on a phone. Everything went to a voicemail and for a long time, no phone call was returned. I'm talking weeks at a time. That is not acceptable, and it wasn't until I started emailing with Rose and she included some others "higher up" in the organization that I started to get some information. Rose was as helpful as she could be in her limited position in sales, Robin was someone who wasn't afraid to call me and tell me that they still didn't know when it would be in. She appreciated how angry I was and understood my frustration. Much of this could have been avoided if there had been some communication! At one point, I was given an excuse that someone was out sick, so they couldn't see the screen to tell if the delivery was coming. That makes no sense to me that only one person in the organization was capable of seeing the magic screen that would give the answers we needed. I'm a very reasonable person and know that supply chains can be an issue, but just keep the customer informed, please! Despite the difficulties, despite the lack of communication, despite the inappropriate extended wait time, I am very pleased with my new stove. I am counting on the service and warranty moving forward......and yes, when I need to replace other appliances, I will be using Millman's. read more

The benefits of shopping "local" including any potential cost savings are not worth the reality of dealing with Millman's. After Rose accepts your check and you walk out of their store with your receipt, regardless if you spend $850 for a 1 stove or $3,500 for an entire suite of appliances (like my father did) after a few weeks it becomes clear. Millman's is awful and unworthy of my money. Weeks later, my phone calls to find someone at Millman's to speak with to find out when my delivery is scheduled end up not matching the date Rose told me when she took my money. The only way to communicate is via telephone. No customer email, no chat, no customer portal. Nothing. This is local "lower slower Delaware" at it's finest. Exceptionally poor customer service, rude receptionists, calls are answered "on hold music" immediately, or transferred into voice mail boxes that yield no call back. Several attempts at calling back I reach "Heather" who finally shares that her first call reporting June 4th as the delivery date has been moved to June 18th. Had I not called I would not have learned of the updated date. No proactive customer service. Nothing. Just attitude, and she, the receptionists and Rose use speaker phones so the sound quality is horrible. Not what I expected from a long time local appliance shop. Learn from my experience and buy elsewhere. read more

I rarely leave online reviews of any company, positive or negative, but I need to air out this feedback. To say that working with Millman's is challenging would be an understatement. We ordered a full suite of kitchen appliances through them late last year, and the final piece of the order was finally delivered and installed last week after no less than three rescheduled deliveries. Delays and supply issues due to COVID are completely understandable, but the frankly pitiful service and communication around these delays are not. To give some context, we live several hours away from the condo where the appliances were installed. We stressed repeatedly that we needed to be notified ahead of time when a reschedule was necessary to accommodate the delay, rearrange our work hours, and make ourselves available; this didn't seem to make a difference to them, as we were notified of a reschedule on the day of delivery, after our expected delivery window had passed, at least once. Transfers to department voicemails (or the wrong department altogether) and disconnected calls are common. Messages would go unanswered for days at a time. Promised callbacks and follow-ups simply don't happen in a timely manner unless you chase the contact person down. Rarely have I felt as jerked-around as I did with this company; once they have your money, there's seemingly very little interest in actually getting the product to you. That's assuming you even get what you ordered. The wrong dishwasher was initially delivered and installed, one that didn't remotely match the finish of the rest of the appliances - how do you get that wrong? After additional delays and setbacks with the refrigerator we ordered, we ultimately received a slightly larger and more expensive model without paying for the difference, but I suspect this was less of a goodwill gesture and more of a convenience decision since that model of fridge was in-stock at their warehouse. We were told our delivery fee was also refunded, but this refund has not yet arrived, and that really doesn't do enough to offset all the of the wasted gas and missed work we shouldered as a result of their repeated inability to deliver on-schedule. The only saving grace here is the company's delivery and installation crew, who were courteous and respectful of our time and space on each and every visit. Otherwise, this was one of the most miserable and time-consuming processes I can remember, and the volume of one-star reviews on this site at least reassures me that their exceptionally-poor service seems to extend to most of their customer interactions. We try to shop local wherever possible, and I absolutely regret it in this case. Get your appliances somewhere else - anywhere else. read more

We just bought our new Speed Queen Washer & Dryer from Millman's Appliances in Lewes, DE. Millman's was great to deal with; we went in on the Saturday before Christmas and they got it ordered lickity split! We got it delivered today and the delivery guys, BJ & Easy were just fabulous. They removed our old appliances and set up the new ones. They were professional, polite and cleaned up when they were done. I will definitely use them again when we update our kitchen as they have a wonderful selection of high end appliances. I was like a kid in a candy store. read more

New appliances are a hot commodity right now, especially in this area, and Millman's has a great selection of higher end appliances. This is not your Lowe's or Home Depot typical selection of GE, Samsung, etc (although I think they offer that stuff too). It does take a while to get them in, but that's the name of the game with supply chains still recovering from 2020. We got delivery service and the guys were great. Friendly, accommodating, and went the extra mile. Although they had some staffing issues that created a bit of frustration in terms of communication, once I got a solid contact she was very helpful. I don't think the lower reviews are an accurate representation of this company, as they did a fine job for us. read more

New Summit washer was installed by Patrick and Mike a week ago. I didn't see a level being used but asked if the washer was leveled. (Technician places hand on washer) "This isn't going anywhere". In use, the washer vibrates tremndously and today caused items from an adjacent shelf to fall to the floor. I put my level on it and !shocker! its not level! Quote from the manufacturer's installation instructions: "Incorrect leveling of the washing machine may cause vibrations, the appliance to slide across the room, or the washing process may be louder than normal." Poor support when dealing with a defective appliance. Strongly suggest buy elsewhere. We bought a GE refrigerator. So many problems, bins falling off the door, so many service visits, did not fix the problems. So we escalated our Complaints to GE: Millman's did not support the claim. GE tech eventually said bad door. We were right, they were wrong. Buy appliance elsewhere! We asked Millman's owner to contact us before writing this review but, no response. read more

We purchased a washer dryer and a refrigerator from Millman's. Delivery was prompt. A year or so later the LG refrigator was not running right so we called them for service. The tech checked out the unit and determined the motherboard was bad. He said it was a known issue and they would replace it when they received the new motherboard. A few weeks later he was back and installed it and all was well Next year was ice not making correctly and he was back again. He cleaned and serviced the unit and it was fine again. Next year there was water freezing under the deli drawer and another tech came out and determined the a water line was freezing up and the water was draining to the inside of the fridge. He would order the new water line and then was back a couple of weeks later. New line was installed and the leak stopped. 7 months later the water was back under the deli drawer. Called Millmans again and found out they were no longer providing service on the items they sell. We lived with draining out the water ourselves for a few more months and then one day the fridge and freezer stopped cooling. Millmans gave us a phone number to a appliance service company and I called them right away. I was told that they do not service LG refrigerators that have issues with the compressor and they said Millmans knows they do not service LG refrigerators with compressor issues. 5 more calls to other service companies in the area and they would not service LG refrigators. Millmans really is great on sales on delivery. For Service they suck! read more
