I didn't like the new ranges on the market so I decided to contact Henlopen Appliance hoping they could service the unit. The person I spoke with confirmed they service GE ranges. I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment for the following Tuesday. The technician, Trevor Vest showed up on time and once I explained the problems I was having with the range he got right to work. He tested all the burners then made the necessary adjustments to get the burners working properly. The whole experience from making the appointment to interacting with Trevor as he made the fixes was enjoyable. He even gave me advice about using our front-loading washing machine. There is no doubt in my mind who I will contact if I need help with an appliance.

My dryer's heating element failed, so I called this company for a Saturday service call. The dryer was not repaired, but I was given an estimate of over $500 to replace the part. I waited several days for follow-up about a new part. In the meantime, I researched alternatives and was referred to another repair company, which completed the repair for a total of $239, including parts and labor. I attempted to explain this to the original company, disclosed the actual cost I paid, and asked why their estimate was more than double. Instead of addressing the pricing discrepancy, the company demanded a $170 "service fee" for showing up without a part and leaving the dryer unrepaired. The company is now threatening legal action to collect this $170. In my opinion, this company's conduct has been unethical, unprofessional, and not in the best interest of the community. If I were a repair person, I would have checked my vehicle inventory for the appropriate part. If I did not have the part in stock, I would have called the customer to explain and reschedule.  I am really struggling to understand why you are being so stubborn about my complaint and are completely failing to understand my perspective.

Consumer Reports criticizes many brands for overly complicated features that shorten product life, are dependent on components made in China, and have known design issues. So, we went with Bosch and chose models without the high failure prone features. We know (based on previous experience) there's a wait for one of the products, and that's fine. Shore does their own servicing so we're not concerned we're on our own or getting referrals from a 3rd party warranty company that may send unqualified technicians. Horrible customer service!…read more I was expecting a repairman out last week to fix an AC unit I have in my rental unit and the company got busy so they rescheduled a few times. When the repairman did come out he said he fixed it said he put freon in it and when I returned it was no cooler than it was previously. It took almost 8 hrs to cool off a room the size of a living room, which is insane when he said he fixed it! After realizing that it wasn't getting cooler in the apt I took it upon myself to open the AC unit up and see what was going on inside and the filter was disgusting, there was no way air could get through it, and the air intake and door was just as filthy. I called the realtor and she sent him back the next day after I showed her the pictures I took. He came back and he said when he came in and out freon in the week before it was cold in the room, and I advised him that it was not, as well, if he did in fact out freon in the AC hint it wld have been blowing colder air, which it was not. I asked him if he looked at the filter and he advised that he did and he said that he didn't think they looked as if they needed cleaning because air could get through them. You can be the judge of that yourselves! And when I asked him why he wouldn't think to clean the filter even on a basic maintenance check and I attempted to show him the pictures I took, he turned an walked away and said he'd send someone else. I asked where he was going and he just walked away and said he'd send someone else. Needless to say his customer service skills were lacking! I would have given 0 stars but it wouldn't let me!
