That alone already set him apart. After speaking with me and learning that I'm selling my deceased Aunts house and simply looking for the most cost-effective option, Brett actually recommended that I purchase a motor myself and even sent me the Amazon link. He knew right away that he probably wouldn't be getting the job. I'm also quite a distance away, and if Brett had done the work, he would have installed a higher-quality motor and done it the right way. But this review isn't about getting the job--it's about integrity and customer service. Brett took the time to help, educate, and point me in the right direction even though he knew there was no business in it for him. That kind of honesty and willingness to help is rare these days. I only wish Murdoch Pool Service was closer to me in Escondido because I would absolutely use them for my own pool service. Thank you, Brett, for taking the time to help and for showing what real customer service looks like!

They have grown too fast and the quality has tanked. It's a revolving door of pool cleaners which…read morehas caused mistakes to be made on our pool. We have had a different pool person every week. I can see on my cameras they come for 7 minutes and leave. I have brought this to Seth the manager and I'm ignored. Some of the pool cleaners are inexperienced and leave the pool in worse shape than they found it. There has been a total breakdown in communication. This week alone I have received 4 different estimates in a high-pressure sales manner. It seems they are looking for things that need to be "fixed" to make money. I have had countless problems with our pool over the past year, directly related to this company. Dealing with them has been the most time-consuming headache I've ever experienced. There are so many examples. To name a few, they'll leave the levers flipped the wrong way so when I go to turn on the spa for my kid it completely drains. This week they told me I need to do a stat drain of the pool because the acid level is too high. After shopping around with other pool companies, the acid level is actually on the "high end of normal" and can be managed in a different way for now. Additionally, they thought it was acceptable to leave the Jacuzzi looking green and gross for 3 weeks- see picture. They have been charging us for cleaning services and the spa has looked like a sess pool. The spa simply needed to be scrubbed and vacuumed. When the other random pool person came 2 days ago he said he couldn't vacuum it because the suction wasn't working. The suction is working fine I had it tested by someone else. Honestly the list goes on but point being I will never get the time or energy back that I've had to pour into weeding through the bs and having to call the office and beg that they come deliver the service that we already pay for. Yes, we need a new salt cell, but the salt cell is not causing the complete lack of communication, the ignoring of my calls to the manager, all the random different people who are are being rushed by management to clean as many pools as they can in a day causing a major lack in quality. The salt cell certainly didn't cause the spa to look like this for 3 weeks because they finally sent their best guy to finish the job and clean the spa. The acid level wouldn't be high if it was being maintained properly. Do yourself a favor and find a smaller company who is actually honest. There's a lot of competition out there.
