We were downtown for an event across the street at the Baird Center. It was lunchtime and we needed something close by that we could walk to. This place is literally right across the street, so it was a perfect option. There were six of us, all with different appetites and preferences. Food: Our group ordered a variety of items including a pastrami sandwich, tomato soup, chicken wings, grilled cheese, and I got the chopped salad. It didn't take long for the food to arrive. Temperatures were right. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold. Portions were also good. Reviews on the food were mixed. The standout of the lunch seemed to be the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The cheese was nicely melted and the added avocado brought a nice flavor to the sandwich. I thought the grilled cheese was good, but it could have used a little more butter and more grilling for deeper flavor and crispness. The chicken wings were coated in buffalo sauce. The one wing I tried was a bit overcooked and tough, and several were left unfinished. My chopped salad was okay but not remarkable. It almost felt more like a "diced salad." Everything was cut into very small pieces, including the bacon and chicken. A soup spoon might have been a better utensil than a fork. Service: The restaurant opens at 11:00, but the doors didn't open until about 11:10. Not a big deal, but by then a small line had formed outside. Once we were seated, service was very good. Our server handled all the basics well, waters, menus, drinks, and food timing. They were pleasant and efficient, though not especially chatty or personable. We were not asked about dessert, which made me wonder if they even offer any. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is solid and very much feels like a pub. There are some interesting wall decorations tied to the beer industry. Seating works well for different group sizes. In the room where we sat, there were only two other groups and the acoustics were good. It was easy to have a conversation without raising voices. Our Server Hailey was hilarious and turned our dining experience around. Ciderboys was tasty. Wings, cheese curds, and pretzel appetizers were all decent and good. Nothing different than other restaurants in regard to these items. That's where we should have stopped. Fish tacos were massive in size, over battered and salty. Chips were too salty. Was staying at the Hilton Milwaukee. Very convenient location in the lower lobby of the hotel. I wish I knew his name, but the bartender was absolutely amazing - very engaging, knowledgable, and friendly. I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. I tasted two of their drinks: the raspberry lemon drop and peach mule. Both were equally as tasty, tangy, and well balanced. They weren't too syrupy or alcohol forward. I decided to do well sized entrees: their famous buttermilk battered cheese curds and the pork slider trio. This was my first time tasting cheese in Wisconsin, shame on me. It was packed with flavor and had depth to it. Definitely adding curds to my bucket list everyone I'm in Wisconsin. Honestly only came here cause the people I was with wanted to eat here. If I was alone I wouldn't have gone because it's a bit too expensive for me. They ordered the appetizers for the table so I was able to try the cheese curds and the soft pretzel. The pretzel was good. Just a pretzel. But those cheese curds.....OH MY GOD YUM!!!!!! I could have eaten that entire thing by myself. For my main meal I ordered the classic cheeseburger which came with fries. Fries were ok. Nothing special. Burger was good and very seasoned. Lots of flavor from that thing. The food is good but I personally don't see myself paying that much for food like this. $17 for a small burger is not in my budget unfortunately. Once is good for me. This bar is located inside the Hilton City Center. I arrived late in the evening and was glad to know this place is open until 2am. I sat at the bar with a friend and was helped by Luke who was so incredibly kind and attentive. The menu here had some great selections but I opted for just the cheese curds, which were amazing. We came here after a convention across the street. Their service could have definitely been better. It took a while for our server to take our order. They were busy when we arrived but I don't think it should have taken that long for us to put in our order in. My son and I both wanted to try their Beer Cheese Soup and we were going to share cheese curds and a pretzel. But they were unfortunately out of pretzels. How does a bar in Milwaukee run out of pretzels? We really weren't craving anything else so we just ordered their soup and the curds. Both were really good. Every year for the past 4 years we have come to Milwaukee for multiple events, such as Bucks games and events at the Harley Davidson Museum. We usually stay at the Hilton due to their exceptional staff, cleanliness and location. We have eaten at this restaurant now multiple times and each time have been very disappointed. Today we waited and extremely long time to even be seated in fact many customers walked away and went somewhere else. Then we waited for the server to even approach the table to get drinks or take out order. We asked for salt and pepper the server walked away and did other things, I had to get up and find it myself so that my food didn't get cold. My husband had to ask for the check. I understand that sometimes things happen but the last 2 times we have eaten at this restaurant it has been the same service. I would not recommend people eat here. read more

I did not have any pictures for the first time in a long time as I was with colleagues. However, the pictures on this Yelp page are very accurate. Not sure why this place has low or only three stars. Was in MKE for a volleyball tournament. I will give high marks to the staff because they were great. Not sure what goes on at night but for lunch we were given "express menus" and nothing else. There was a choice of maybe ten things. My son got the chicken fingers and didn't finish them. I got the double double cheddar burger and it was OK. My wife and daughter got the regular cheeseburger and that was OK. Fries were good and cheese curds were really good. Both bartenders (White) walked past me, looked at me and moved on to serve White customers. One even waited for the couple to sit down to take their order before me. I have loved this place forever. It has changed a bit over the years, especially in the post covid world we live in, but it still has lots of charm, good value, and a fun atmosphere. We were in town for Summerfest, and were staying at the Hilton (which the miller time pub is located within). After the festival each night, we stopped in for a few drinks. The bartender was lively and a lot of fun. The crowd was actually a mix of musicians who were playing Summerfest and staying at the hotel, so that was cool. They have these fun specials on DAS BOOT, so you can drink out of a glass boot and try to not get splashed in the face. This is a very German thing to do, and is a staple around some Milwaukee bars. We had some of the finger foods and they were tasty. I haven't tried the entrees, so I can't really comment on the food. Overall MTP is a great place to catch a game, grab a beer, get a bite, and hang out on a chill night in Milwaukee. read more
