It's a tradition in my family to see a movie in theatres on Christmas day ... and this year we…read morevisited EVO in Southlake for a late night showing of Wicked. I had never been to this theatre before, but I'm pleased to say that it's definitely a spot I would return to! Parking was easy and free in a nearby garage. EVO is actually part of the expansive Southlake Town Square (read: outdoor shopping center). Along with movie theatres, EVO boasts and arcade, bowling alleys, and so much more. This seems like it would be a popular spot for a family-friendly birthday party. We purchased our tickets online in advance, although there wasn't much of a crowd when we arrived around 9 PM. I absolutely love that the popcorn is "self-serve" - we were able to layer the butter exactly how we like it! The team members we interacted with were extremely friendly as well. The theatres themselves are big and comfortable - complete with large reclining chairs and seat heaters. There's even a dedicated dining area for folks who'd prefer to order a meal to their seat. We didn't opt for this service this time around, but it's good to know!

It was one of my favorite things to do and recently I brought my son to experience the same joy. He had such a blast. We love the snacks and merch. He loved getting tokens to play games and get tickets and redeem them for candy and toys. Coming here is such a core memory and so nostalgic. I love that it's all you can play. All the larger arcades are so expensive and pay per play so I love their all you can play model. I'm devastated by the news and hope that the community will come together to help them. I know I'll be doing my part.

They have party rooms as well as two restaurants and bar. I did notice some specials that would be good to share. On Tuesdays they offer kids 12 and under eat free with a menu items of 11.99 or more. Happy hour is offered Monday-Friday 3:00pm -6:00 pm. On Sunday-Thursday they also offer Happy hour 9:00 pm-11:00 pm. On Monday nights they offer all you can play games after 4:00 p.m. for 12.99. Also everyday except Saturday you can play activities for 19.99 plus a 10.00 fun card. The staff was very friendly. My daughter's friend lost her phone and one of the staff was able to find that it was left in the bar. We were very grateful that he took the time to help us check. Service was a bit slow at the bar line because there was only one person mid afternoon on a Saturday pouring adult drinks but they were very nice and the selection was decent. Plenty of games were available, many direct from Japanese arcades, but several needed some maintenance that made them difficult or impossible to use. Overall a fun and easy way to lose a few hours being active at the mills.
