He was very accommodating from the get go, offering to turn on the heating on the bed, covered my hair with a towel to keep my hair out of the way and support for my shoulders while he worked on me. It was clear that he was pretty knowledgeable with the body/muscles/anatomy and how to best take care of me with mobility and relaxation in mind, these two things are not always the easiest to find in one massage. I pretty much transcended by the end of the massage and was so, so happy to be pleased and not disappointed with trying out a new business and new therapist. She took me into the room and explained that the technique is designed to stimulate the lymphatic system to help my body flush out excess fluids and toxins. She was extremely knowledgeable and eased any uncertainties I had at the beginning. I'm more accustomed to deep tissue massages, and the pressure of this is much lighter and more soothing. The actual massage felt amazing! I started in a face-up position, and Gita used a body brush first with lots of long strokes, especially around my stomach, legs, arms, and back. Each time she finished brushing a body part, she followed that up with adding lotion and doing the same motions with her hands only. It was very relaxing and almost put me to sleep a few times! The foot massage was wonderful also! She then moved to my face where she gave me a mini-facial using aromatherapy, a cleanser, hot towel & moisturizer. She used two different instruments on my face...a warm one and then a cold one, and both were refreshing. She finished off with a facial mist. She also used her stroke technique on my collar bone and towards my armpits which she said had lots of lymph nodes.
