I am beyond disappointed with the lack of empathy and terrible customer service at this office. I have been a patient here and have never once cancelled an appointment, but I recently had to cancel due to a severe case of food poisoning. My boyfriend even called them the moment I got sick to give them as much notice as possible, yet they still refused to waive a $45 cancellation fee. It's absurd to penalize a patient for a sudden medical emergency. Apparently, they would have preferred I showed up mid-illness and thrown up on the doctor instead of staying home. They clearly value a one-time $45 fee over long-term patient loyalty. They've officially lost a customer for good. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and suggest others do the same if they want a provider that actually treats people like human beings read more

It has been a while since I've had a massage but after a session with Allison I am a true believer again. It was the best massage I ever had. I really appreciated how often she checked in to make sure she was applying the right amount of pressure. I've been casually looking for a new chiropractor since relocating to Chicago in late 2019. I had been seeing the same Chiropractor on and off for 10 + years and was determined to find an established practice that matched the expertise and compassionate care I had previously experienced. I am really glad I found a place to go to for my acupuncture and chiropractic needs. The administrators/ front staff are always prompt, and friendly. The clinic environment is clean and very soothing/ calming. Sarah, for acupuncture is gentle and thorough in her assessment. I can see myself going back for regular maintenance. Dr. Hernandez, Chiropractor, took her time in understanding why I was there and provided a very comprehensive treatement plan. I am looking forward to healing my back with this team! The only area of improvement is the paperwork and also online portal seems clunky as there are limitations to what the patient is able to do.... its still better to just call in to make appointments, and/or updates to appointments. Big fan of Division Chiropractic & Acupuncture. I have only gone for acupuncture, but Rebecca and Michelle both do a wonderful job. Their location has ample street parking, their rooms are comfortable and they music they play isn't that annoying asian flute stuff you get at some places (although you can ask for it you would like). I am always super relaxed when I leave and usually within a couple treatments they have been able to help with what ails me. And while I have yet to go for a massage, I would do so in a heartbeat. This place is beyond wonderful. I had it recommended to me by multiple people and it far exceeded my expectations. I came with a specific neck issue and have returned multiple times. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it is a very warm, welcoming and progressional place. You fill out a somewhat lengthy questionnaire about what brought you there but it's totally worth it because this allows the professional to get started more quickly. They still start with a consultation to make sure they understand what the issue is and what you hope to get out of the session. Everyone that I've seen there has magical hands. I've literally leave the office feeling like I'm walking in clouds. They also educate you on additional your issue and give suggestions and advice on additional things you can do to help yourself. read more

I came here with terrible back pain, close to being unable to walk. They were able to get in right away to see the chiropractor which was great because of the pain I was in, but unfortunately the treatment they gave me made it far worse and within 5 minutes of leaving I was completely unable to walk. I ended up in the emergency room where the doctor said that the movement the chiropractor did exacerbated the injury. To add insult in to injury Division Chiropractic & Acupuncture charged me a $45 no show fee for a follow appointment they made for the next day. This place may be able to treat some things, but I wouldn't come here expecting relief from lower back pain. read more

This place changed my life! Over the last several months a team has been built around me to manage my chronic pain and various stress-related injuries. I feel like a completely different person with a new back. I want to call out each of the experts on my team in the order we met. I initially started going for acupuncture at this practice because my insurance covered it...(yes, I know -- #blessed). Well, that gravy train of benefits ended and even still I continue to come here and pay out of pocket, because it is GREAT. I see Cassie and Michelle for acupuncture, and every time it is lovely. Calm, effective, professional. A 1-hour power healing nap is how I like to think of it. Scheduling is always a snap, and their front desk is friendly and kind. I've never had to wait. Street parking only (DO NOT park in adjacent MB Financial lot), but I never have a hard time finding a metered spot. It's steps from the Division blue line and accessible by several bus routes (Milwaukee, Ashland, Division). I have struggled with intense muscle spasms in my shoulder for the past couple of years. I started seeing Dr. Megan a few months ago and I'm doing so much better! I haven't needed muscle relaxers since seeing her and every appointment she checks in on life updates in relationship to my health and then makes adjustments to my care as needed. I have been meaning to write a review for such a long time. I have been getting deep tissue massages from Sherry for several months now and she is the best massage therapist I've ever had. If you have chronic soreness and want actual relief as opposed to sensory Swedish massage, then Sherry is your girl. She really has made a difference in my body! Now I can actually start trying to think about my posture and other issues besides shoulder and neck tightness all the time. I have also visited with Dr. Megan Thompson who is a wonderful chiropractor. She gives me a little rub down before each adjustment to get my body warmed up. Gotta love that. These guys know what they are doing and will help you! I went on vacation once and got a massage from this Not-Sherry character, and I was so disappointed. I came here a couple of months ago based off of the reviews that I saw here on Yelp. I was really hoping to get some help with a chronic pain in my shoulder and low back and was excited to try cupping in conjunction with massage. When I made my appointment it seemed very clear that I wanted a cupping session with a 30-minute massage session and the receptionist on the phone said that is a great way to enjoy both together. When I got there on my first day I wasn't really acknowledged very much handed a clipboard I filled out the paperwork and I met my therapist. I explained to her where my troubled spots where and she went to work. At the end of the session I was a little confused as why the cupping wasn't done and she says to me, "oh I wish I would have known you wanted cupping" I was a little bit baffled because I was clear on the phone and obviously a first-time client you think that you would ask me and confirm with me when I walk in the door. I left quite disappointed I just paid $90 for a one-hour massage and the massage was quite good however not what I was looking for. I guess I was expecting a little bit more acknowledgement and more customer service to first-time clients that's exactly what I get elsewhere because you expect that client to come back in through that door. I don't know if I will come back here I may have to look elsewhere... if you decide to go make sure you know exactly what you're signed up for and let your therapist know so that they don't give you the same experience I just had. read more

I had a gift certificate for a one hour prenatal massage here from a friend. I was a new customer. When I walked in everyone was friendly and the place was clean. The massage was great however the masseus did not give me a full one hour massage. It was only about 42 minutes and I was not pleased with this. Being 37 weeks pregnant I did not feel like being confrontational or questioning the situation so I just thanked them and left. I wouldn't go back to this place for another massage because I feel I didn't get my money's worth. Update 7/18/18: After reading my review this business actually reached out to me via phone and offered me a FREE 60 minute prenatal massage as an apology. I was not expecting this and obviously was super happy to hear from them. The massage I had with Sherry was even better than my first. I now give this business five stars for their excellent customer service and excellent massages! read more

Dr. Megan has such a calming voice, and it makes me wonder if she ever gets angry and how that would sound. It makes sense that she would use it to try and get people to relax so that she can adjust them. I also have had Alyssa and Paula give me massages and they are fantastic! Alyssa spent a great deal of time on my glutes and I may have even had the bruises to prove how amazing of a job she did. I was and have been super tight, and wonder if I have been storing some stress and tension there. Paula really got my lower back in a way I have not ever experienced before. I am use to the lying face down and flipping over, but have yet had someone ask me to lay sideways and boy did she get my lower back and glutes really well. I am just so impressed by the skills here. I love that my insurance covers this, and I will certainly be using all my visits throughout the year. read more

Dr. Alicia Cohler is as good as I've found in the field of chiropractic care. She never pushes you to come in more or do alternative more expensive treatments unless she really thinks it is necessary. You honestly feel like she has your best intentions and well being at heart. She even works with me to help make my payments more affordable because I have such a high insurance deductible. I see her every month for a tune up, and every treatment is much needed (I somehow managed to hurt myself on a regular basis and knock stuff out of alignment). I couldn't imagine going anywhere else, even if I moved out of the neighborhood. read more

Dr. Megan is amazing and her adjustments always help with my hips and lower back problems. I've been to other chiropractors who want to pre-set a treatment schedule (one wanted me in 3x/week!!) dr. Megan always makes it clear she wants to listen to what my body wants and not overcharge me with redundant visits. I've also had Alyssa and sherry for massages. Both are so skilled in different ways, definitely worth the experience. Every time I've called to schedule appointments or even initially to check benefits, everyone I've spoken to has been so helpful and friendly. There are a couple 1-star reviews on here about poor customer service; completely unfounded. I was even that horrible patient who has to reschedule 4x on one call (I apologized profusely) and the woman working with me was nothing but gracious. read more

I was sure I would never find another chiropractor to love after leaving my last one in Minneapolis when we moved, but sure enough, I met Alicia, and my body and I couldn't be more relieved. When I moved to the city two years ago I wanted to find a chiropractor that was a little closer to home. I searched on Google and Division Family Chriopractic came up with the best reviews. Well the outstanding reviews are well deserved. Dr. Cohler is not only great a what she does but she's personable as well. I started going to her and had such a great experience that I recommended her to my boyfriend. He'd never been to a chiropractor and was really nervous about his first visit. She let me sit in the room with him and she talked him through the whole thing, letting him know exactly what she was going to do and why. He's a regular patient now. She is also one of the most flexible doctors I've ever gone to. I messed up my upper back pretty badly, called her from work, and she got me in right away. I made a second appointment for the next day (I really did a number on my back) but she also gave me her personal e-mail address in case the pain didn't subside some and I needed to get in first thing in the morning. She was going to open the office early to get me in. Talk about flexibility! She's a great chiropractor and a great person. read more

Dr Megan and Dr Alicia are incredible. They have fixed me up every time I have been in the office. They really listen and give world class adjustments tailored to your needs. The office is entirely staffed by women and there is an air of comfortability and respect. I first came to Division Chiropractic & Acupuncture, because I had severe pain in my upper right shoulder that shot through my neck and arm. I set an appointment with Dr.Megan and she was awesome. She listened to my concerns and after seeing her just once, my shoulder improved a lot. At first I thought it was a pinched nerve, but Dr.Megan determined that it was tight muscles and muscle spasms. She was even able to provide a Dr's note for work, which really helped. I've also had 2 massage sessions with Paula and she is by far the best masseuse I've ever had. She worked with Dr.Megan to determine what to focus on. Paula makes it very comfortable for you to tell her if the pressure is too much or too little. The receptionist is very helpful with explaining your insurance and she even helps me keep track of how much I have left in my insurance balance to use for the year. Overall, a great experience and I will become a regular here to keep my back in check. read more
