I broke my jaw a few years back and suffer from really bad TMJ and they helped me get to where my neck and jaw are leaps and bounds from where they were before starting treatment. I should have written this review ages ago, but it isn't going to make much of a difference to the rating, because like everyone else, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Cohler. I've been to a number of excellent chiropractors over the years, but somehow Dr. Cohler is the best. Not sure I could tell you why, but it probably has something to do with the fact that she's extremely knowledgeable, extremely nice, and very much on top of her work. And on top of all that, she isn't even as expensive as some other chiropractors in town. She once mentioned that she's from a family of chiropractors, and it's clear that she loves what she does. They've recently expanded their upstairs area for massage therapy and Dr. Cohler seems to have selected some excellent folks to work that side of the business, as well. If you're already familiar with chiropractic care and are looking for a new chiropractor, your search is over. I have been to see her again this year. Michelle is so warm and caring -- she really wants to do whatever she can to heal her patients. She knows me now, enough to know that I love the heat -- she turns on the heat pads, the heat lamp and the extra heater in the room for my sessions. She spent 90 minutes with me the other day, finishing my session with cupping (yes, you have these crazy suction marks for days) for no extra fee. She uses extra fine needles on me because I have sensitive skin and I can hardly tell they're there. I also love the new expanded space upstairs! Dr john is simply a genius. I made my appointment hoping to finally find someone who could explain to me what was happening with my body that was causing me so much incredible discomfort. This WAS THE BEST CHOICE I HAVE MADE FOR MYSELF IN A LONG TIME. Initially we sat down for a detailed overview of my life and what I thought might be causing this pain. After only 5 minutes of a brief assessment of my body Dr John told me " I have a feeling this is something much different than you were anticipating." Initially I was not sure what direction he was headed with his diagnosis, but as soon as he started to explain to me how the body works and why this was happening It made complete sense to my particular situation. I was amazed to finally meet a dr that i felt REALLY knew how to help me and my body. He worked on my body for about 45 min after that and I FELT LIKE THE My WORLD WAS BACK. This review is long overdue but I wanted to wait and see long term what my progress with the treatment was before writing this. I was in search of something/someone that could help me with my Plantar Fasciitis after having several doctors look at it and recommend everything from EPAT to shots to shoe inserts. I must say that EVERYONE here is super nice and friendly and I originally came in to Division C & A for acupuncture but after seeing no progress it was recommended I saw Valerie and that is when I finally started seeing progress. She does a mix of cupping, graston and massage based on how my feet are doing and I went from running on an elliptical to currently 30 miles per week. Before Valerie I couldn't go past a mile without being in some serious pain. She is the reason why I can now lace my shoes again and I can get out there and run without the fear of pain stopping me before getting to the corner. She is kind, patient and mostly honest. She makes the one hour session go by so fast and has given me faith that one day I will run pain free again. I will be eternally grateful to Valerie for bringing me back to running. read more

I have been extremely pleased with my experiences at Division Chiropractic and Acupuncture. First of all, the location is directly off of the Division stop (Blue Line) and is of the utmost convenience. Everyone in the office has always maintained sincerity and professionalism. They have been very efficient at re-scheduling and accomodating any appointment changes I have. Additionally, they are quite efficient at filling "cancelled appointments" by calling when I have requested to be on a "waiting list" per say. I have received acupuncture from Michelle and Rebecca, both of whom were extremely educated, communicative and professional. I had never received acupuncture before and each session has been a very peaceful and comfortable experience. I have particularly enjoyed the cupping therapy that compliments the acupuncture. I cannot believe that I haven't written a review for this amazing clinic until now!! I need regular chiropractic care due to a lumbar spinal fusion I had in 2014. I have also found acupuncture to be very helpful in managing my pain and reducing my anxiety. I moved back to Chicago after living in Seattle for three years and needed to re-engage with care. Fortunately for me, I found Dr. Alicia's and Michelle's wonderful practice. Even though I was an experienced chiropractic patient, Dr. Alicia explained to me in depth about how she practices (every doctor is a little different) when I got my first adjustment with her. I told her then that she would be the PERFECT doctor for a first time chiropractic patient. If you're in pain and you've never seen a chiropractor before, don't hesitate to see Dr. Alicia. I am confident that she will take the best care of you. She is intelligent, experienced, compassionate, and collaborative. I have never felt pressured at her office to come more often than is necessary for me or than I'm comfortable with. Decided to check out Division and boy am I glad I did! After only 1 visit with Dr Alicia and Rachel I'm convinced I found a GEM. Dr Alicia took her time to explaining her methods and the procedures she was going to preform. I felt comfortable right off the bat. I followed up my first chiropractor visit with my first massage right after. The dialogue that Dr Alicia had with Rachel (masseuse) showed me that they work in conjunction to provide a holistic approach. I have gone to Division Chiropractic for years to see Dr. Michelle for acupuncture. Michelle helped me get through my second very uncomfortable pregnancy. She treated me for joint pain in pregnancy and it made a huge difference. Michelle was so helpful and so intuitive that I had hired her to be my doula. As a Doula she was so incredibly supportive and was with me holding my hand rubbing my back for almost 20 hours. I don't know how I would have made it through this birth without her. She guided my husband and helped to keep my mom and family calm. She is so talented in all she does. I am a doula myself and have sent so many clients her way. Dr. Thompson is wonderful, and a total miracle worker! I had a slipped rib which was causing me a lot of pain and it actually felt so funny squishing around when I moved that it made me feel nauseous. After reading about slipped ribs online, I was really worried about it being a tricky issue to fix. But Megan has a total calming touch with kind energy which eased my anxiety, and she knew right away where the rib was out of alignment. It only took a couple of movements, and she was able to get the rib to pop back and adjusted my neck and hip as well. A week later, and I has happy to report to her during our follow up appointment that I am feeling great and back to normal again! I'm so thankful for her, truly! read more

Michelle is a very warm and caring person who is extremely gifted and a great person to be around. After several months of seeing Michelle I began to feel my body change for the better. In seven months, I was able to tell Michelle that I was pregnant. I honestly believe that she already knew before I did. My beautiful baby girl was born on December 31, 2011. It's easy enough to stand out in a field of fakes who use people's desperation to widen their wallets. But Dr. Cohler does far more by delivering the sort of health care you just dream about these days. Look at these reviews. She inspires the sort of confidence reserved for a priest. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the treatment is how much she seems to genuinely care. Not like a psychiatrist, but like a tech guy, or mechanic, or any kind of dedicated problem solver. After a clean adjustment she sometimes has a smile or she laughs a certain way that makes you feel like you're catching a private moment of joy. You realize that you're witnessing someone very, very talented do just what they love. I think she mentioned being a third generation chiropractor in one meeting? You get helpful, honest advice and you're not pushed to sign on to any extended program of visits. I haven't tried 'em all, but this is at least one of--if not the--best. read more

Jenny is incredible!! I've had chronic pain in my neck and shoulders for years- I've tried massage at any other places but I've never had a massage as healing as the ones I've had from Jenny!! I was referred to Michelle Ferry, the acupuncturist at Evolve, on the advice of a close friend. I had never had acupuncture before, so I was a little nervous, but Michelle put me right at ease :). She was very thorough in explaining what she was going to do and how it was going to help me. She made sure that I was comfortable and enjoying my treatment. While I was being needled, she put a heat lamp over me to help send Qi (energy) into my body. I almost fell asleep because I was so comfortable. After the needles were taken out, Michelle did cupping on my back-- AMAZING. It felt great, especially when she slid the cups around. The marks weren't bad at all and went away after a few days. I love it here! It literally took me 4 different chiropractors until I found Division Chiro! I personally can't stand that 45min heat/ultrasound/stim nonsense that a lot of chiros use, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Division Chiro does regular ol' 15 min chiropractic adjustments. There is also no push to come more than necessary, which is nice. I see Beatrice for massage as well, which I find very helpful, (massage may even be covered by your insurance) and have experienced fewer (chronic) headaches as a result. I found Michele during a search for help with Botox poisoning , my first time seeing her I wasn't sure what to expect but willing to try anything . After the first time she became my life line. I saw her twice a week for a few months and it was the only thing that helped . Depression ,anxiety , bone and muscle pain , nauseous everyday amongst so many other things. . My body was shutting down and I was loosing my mind , I would sometimes walk In and sit with her and just cry because I was so scared . Recently I was referred to Dr. Cohler from a work colleague as part of a total care program I am on regarding getting into better shape for a sport I play and overall health. I had no idea that chiropractic care had benefits beyond just helping with pain but affects many areas of the nervous system which controls almost everything. Dr. Alicia Cohler is great! She is patient and takes the time to explain things to you. I was nervous at first because I've never been to a chiropractor before, but after meeting with her she puts you at ease. For a long time, I had back pain and thought it's something I just had to deal with. After several visits with Dr. Cohler my back pain went away. Dr Jon is great! He listened very carefully to all of my issues and worked with me slowly to figure out the main problem and find a solution that I can work on myself. Unlike chain chiropractors, he did not give me an xray and start adjusting my back forcefully right away. This has happened to me in the past and it felt like a 1 and done who is next sort of situation. Jon approached my neck and back pain responsibly by listening and making adjustments slowly until we were certain it would help and not hurt. I can say only after a couple of sessions my neck pain is 95% gone and my lower back pain is 90% gone. And if I feel like I might get the pain again due to too much bending or lifting, I have tools to make the pain go away. This is LIFE CHANGING. My experience at Evolve was absolutely lovely. It is a brand new space for massage and acupuncture that I just happened to notice while stuck in Ashland Ave traffic. I had to call to get rates since their website is not up yet (did I mention it was really really new). The massage rates are $75 for an hour and $95 for 90 minutes, which are pretty good but combined with their $10 off deal for new clients I was sold. The massage was one of the best Ive ever had, hands down. Mainly because Sarah also did cupping on my back first - which was a very interesting experience. She told me it was to release heat from my body and loosen the knots. I didn't know what to expect so I said okay and she was right my back felt amazing at the end of the session. The rates are just for the time and I was able to decide if I wanted cupping within that time or not. Hot stones were also available but I personally dont care for them as much. She also used heated towels, table,neck wrap and eye pillow. Ive had those included before but at other spas they bump up the price a lot higher than here. One thing to mention though is that this is NOT a spa. Its a super cozy room in a new office building so there isn't a shower, sauna, etc. I just changed in the room. I dont mind this since Im going in for the massage not to hang out in a locker room with other strangers. But,since it is one room it is appointment only. Overall, I loved this place and really liked my massage therapist. She was really sweet and I will definitely try to visit her monthly. And I'm also a huge fan of small businesses and this place is made up of only two women. You Go Girls!! read more
